0 stars if I could! I am a new customer and dropped off my car this morning to have it evaluated for an oil leak. When it was done they simply called me and I told them I will come to pick it up. During the conversation, never once did they say what time they closed nor what time I should be there to pick it up. MOREOVER, they did not followup to ask me if I was still coming or was on my way, but instead simply closed without ever getting in touch with me again. I worked until 6 (they close at 5), and was completely stranded. My car keys and my house keys were NOWHERE to be found, and to top it off, they left my car unlocked. I spent an hour trying to see if they hid my key somewhere and to try to contact someone to avoid being stranded. NO. SUCH. LUCK. There are two options here, either they completely forgot that I was coming or assumed that I wasnt coming, but either way was happy to leave my car unlocked OVERNIGHT. Since I am not sure whether or not the keys were well hidden (and since I only have one copy), I was forced to leave my car unlocked but my alarm armed and my brake lock on (its like a club for brakes). I AM LIVID. That they would completely let me be stranded, and happy to leave my car unsecured. I AM DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED AND COMPLETELY ANGRY. UPDATE: After spending an hour stranded at night, I was able to stay with a friend who was kind enough to come pick me up and drop me back here. When I started to talk to them, the only thing they would let me say was that "I didnt know when you closed, you never called to see if I was coming, and you left my car unlocked with all my keys in your shop that has my house keys leaving me stranded" when they turned around, grabbed my keys, gave it to me and WITHOUT ANY APOLOGY, started attending to another customer. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND SIMPLY RUDE BEHAVIOR. UNAPOLOGETIC, DISCOURTEOUS and HIDEOUSLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER DISSERVICE.

I was bringing in an old Honda for service per recommendation of my aunt. I felt I had great experiences with service and price on many occasions there. Recently, I was reminded of how special this place can be. My honda developed a valve problem on top of a continued air conditioning (compressor) problem. It could cost $1700 to fix. The car has 226,000 miles. It could run forever. I love the car- I wanted to fix it. My mechanic told me that he could fix my car or I could put the money into a downpayment on a newer car elsewhere. He suggested I think carefully before getting car fixed. He would be happy to take my money to fix the car- and said possibly when he got in there it could cost less to fix if the problems was less severe- but he wanted me to know that I had options. He was not interested in just taking my money or making money off of me. He even gave me suggestions on how to sell the car if it stopped running in the meantime. I greatly appreciated his honesty.

Still Trusted! Knowledgable! Resonable prices! Pete at LaPointes and his crew know their stuff! I had a problem with my vehicles engine quiting unexpectedly from time to time, and then in an hour, or a day, it would run again. No one could figure it out, not even LaPointes, at first. Every test conceivable was done, by the dealer, by some other shops, and by LaPointes. When it ran, everything looked great! Difference was that everyone else charged me for their time, except LaPointes! They did not give up though and were relentless, and kept checking on it from time to time. When the engine would quit, Id bring it to them, and they would check on it, until finally, after a few visits, they found the problem and fixed it! The fuel pump pressure was intermitently dropping to low to keep the engine running. I had people who wanted to change O2 Sensors, catalytic converters, filters, and more, but now one stuck with it except LaPointes!

I was recommended to this business by several of my friends who have nothing but praise for the business. I called to make an appointment to have a steering issue looked at. I was given an appointment for the next morning. My problem was fixed, I have had no issue since the repair, and the price was very reasonable! Every employee I came in contact with was extremely pleasant. I brought my car back for another appointment, because I wanted them to check the aim of my headlights...all the mechanics were busy with other work at the time that I showed up, so, one of the guys dropped me off at my job a couple of miles away, and my car was ready by the end of the day. (Thanks guys! I can actually see where I am going at night now...SO appreciated!) To me, this is service above and beyond what one would expect. Pete and his staff are top notch in my book!

LaPointe used to be THE trusted place to go to get quality work done at a reasonable price. I recommended them many times. This last time around I had preventative maintenance done on my car; transmission and coolant; plus brakes and rotors replaced. They not only screwed up each and every thing I asked them to do, they decided to perform an oil change that I didnt ask for and didnt want. Epic fail! I will be boycotting LaPoints for life, which is a shame because I could always count on them in the past. Now I have to take my car elsewhere to repair the damage they did to a car that was working just fine.

I brought my car to Lapointe as recommendation of an other mechanic who wasnt too sure about what was wrong with my car. As soon as Peter, the owner, took a look at my car he knew right away what was wrong with it. He was extremely accommodating in terms of my schedule. I was very surprised when he called to tell me my car was actually ready AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. I drive a BMW and I was totally happy to have my car fixed at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this garage to anyone who is looking for an honest and nice mechanic.

Ever since our mechanic uncle moved away we have been taking our cars to LaPointe & have always had a great experience. On a few occasions I called my uncle to see if the quote I got from LaPointe was reasonable & it has always been totally fair. We have a lot of confidence in the service they provide & always have a great customer service experience with them. We recommend them to everyone.

So far so good. I think the word is getting out because I use to get same day service now I have to make an appointment. They are highly skilled mechanics and reasonably priced. Now if only they would extend their business hours so this working mother of 2 could get her car repaired after 5pm or on the weekends.

My wife and I have been bringing our cars there for years. We believe they are honest and reasonably priced. They have told us that its a cheap and easy fix when we thought it was something major and expensive.
