I was in town this past weekend from 200 miles away to attend a wedding dress fitting with my mom, who lives in this area. My car broke down & I had it towed to a dealership who told me the next morning that it would be 5 days before they could even look at it & had no interest in doing anything at all to help me even after i explained the situation. I was going to have to miss my dress appointment AND wouldnt be able to get home to go back to work on Monday. I called Pep Boys almost in a panic and was told to have it towed right over and they would likely have it all done by the end of that day! It turned out to be a little more complicated than they first thought, but they were totally on top of calling me with updates and were just so incredibly nice and willing to go the extra mile to help me out. One of the gentlemen Id been speaking to the first day came in on his day off the following day to make sure everything was being taken care of and called me with an update. These guys totally saved my weekend, and after the awful service I received at the dealership, Pep Boys customer service was even more stellar in comparison! I couldnt be happier with these guys. Thanks again!

I recently brought in my boyfriends car for a water pump repair. I had made an 8am appointment a few days before - upon getting there we had to wait more then 20 minutes to be checked in as the service center associate showed up late; I guess the other 3 associates couldnt help the line of 6 customers waiting... I asked them to call us once they determined what needed to be fixed with a price quote, they called me and I told them it was okay - bear in mind this is not my car and the appointment was in my boyfriends name not mine. Less then 2 minutes after they called me my boyfriend called them back and told them not to move forward with the repairs as the price they wanted was too much. As this time he was told that the parts were already off and they would charge the same amount to put the old parts back on - so 2 minutes after they got confirmation from someone who was not authorized to give it - they had 2 belts and a water pump taken off? They were not willing to work with us on anything. I have gone to various pep boys in the past and been pleased with the work and service but the lack of professionalism and customer service at the pep boys in Manchester is horrible.

Was left waiting for over 5 hours to have a simple brake job performed on my vehicle. My appointment had been scheduled in advance and I never received any form of communication to advise of a delay or problem. When I called to speak to a service representative to find out what was taking so long, I was left on hold for 10-15 minutes before I hung up and called back to demand to speak to a manager. There was no explanation for the delay, no apology, basically my car was forgotten about and wasnt serviced. Management made no effort to right their wrong until I made it clear that I would take my business elsewhere and would publicize my dissatisfaction, at which point I was offered a free oil change to regain my trust (which I advised them I did not need because my oil was changed the prior week). In the month prior to this incident, I had purchased high end tires and had them installed at this same location. It is upsetting to spend several hundred dollars on service at a shop and have them show such little attention to customer service. Even if you find a deal on parts or service, its not worth the savings. Take your car elsewhere.

I wouldnt recommend going here. My check engine light was on and my Dodge Stratus broke down in the lot because fuel wasnt getting to the engine so I had no choice but to have them check it. I dropped the car off around 11:30 & was told someone would get to it by 1PM and call me with results by 2PM. I waited until 3:30 and still had not gotten a call so called them and was told their diagnostic computer was having a hard time reading the computer in my car so they would get back to me. At 5PM they called back to say a sensor that read oxygen temperature was disconnected and messing with the fuel. They reconnected it & drove it 5 minutes and the check engine cleared & car was running fine. I went to pick the car up and on the way home the car stalled out again & the check engine light came back on again so its seems whatever they reconnected didnt do the job and my car still has the same issue and Im out 105$. I would give No stars but the page would not let me post a review without at least 1. Needless to say I will not be going back to them again.

Go at your own risk. Warrenties are bull$#!+. I give this crap shoot a -5 of 5. They are horrible and deceiving. They will take your money, not fix the problem, and then when you come back dissatisfied they ignore you. On top of that when Bert the manager had spoken with me, he told me to meet him outside to check my car. Went out back and stood there for 15 minutes and talked to an employee who was working on cars who never went to school or any experience of that matter. After still outside waiting Bert went back inside and started helping other customers completely ignored me standing outside the bay doors in clear view. When the customers in front became unsatisfied as well he left the building completely. Workers could not find him. Thats the service you will get at pep boys. I WILL NEVER EVER come or go to another pep boys again.

The guys in the store are amazing but unfortunately corporate pepboys doesnt understand how clients are expecting prompt service for their vehicles when you schedule an appointment online and dont tell clients that the appointment times are really drop off times due to how their system is setup and how many people these guys service. This industry is different then your doctors office or other appointment based industries. Pepboys make sure that if you bring your vehicle in it will get fixed but it will be first come first serve and appointments dont get priority like many would assume. Please note I was asked to edit my review (Original review) Scheduled an appointment to get one tire nstalled at 1 pm came to drop my car if and was told 3 or 4 hours to get it done whats the point of having appointments

My fiance and I took our truck here. They said that our power steering pump needed to be replaced and charged us almost 600 bucks! 3 days after we got the truck back, the same problems started up again. So we took it back to them and asked what was going on. They said it was a totally different problem and they would fix it for another 130 dollars. We took it to another shop for a second opinion. This shop informed us that there was no way that our power steering pump was new or even re-manufactured. He showed us a remanufactured and a new one and then showed us ours. It even had the grease pen with the name of the junkyard on it!!! We called this pep boys and they informed us that they would not give us a refund nor honor the warrenty since we "couldnt prove anything" and then hung up on us!!!!
