Steve and his crew went above and beyond for my family. We are from Colorado and traveling for the summer. While passing through CT we heard a noise coming from one of our tires turns out our calipers seized on one of our back tires ruining the brakes and rotors. It was 4:15pm when we rolled in and they close at 5pm. Steve warmly greeted us and didnt hesitate for one second to assist us, instead he picked up the phone got the parts we needed and put two of his guys on the job. We have our two kids with us and Steve suggested restaurants where we could grab an early dinner while we waited. He even came over and check in on us at dinner and made sure we were being taken care of. In just about an hour we went from a major car issue to being back up and running and on our way. I would not for a moment hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Its refreshing in todays world to find this level us service.

what a fiasco. my car was towed there bc the axel broke. when i picked it up it was driving horribly but it was the end of the day and i had to get home. they said they test drove it. what?? the stability control failure light was blinking and it said across the LED screen stability control failure. the steering wheel was so crooked i had to hold the wheel at 12 and 6 to keep it straight. when i called the next day they said that it was like that when it came in. that was their answer. turned out the tie rods were bent at a 70 degree angle and my tires were all messed up/non-aligned. PS they also way over charged me. when i had the job priced in the Danbury area 2 shops gave me a price of less than half what they charged. Bad, bad, bad....

I have been a customer of AAMCO in Norwalk for almost 4 years. They came highly recommended from several coworkers who had been bringing their cars there for years. In that time I have had a few accidents and my car has a lot of miles, so I am there more often than most. No matter the issue, Steve and his team have met the challenge and helped me make the smartest decision for the repair - sometimes referring me to body shops and helping me source parts. Steve and Clara both go above and beyond customer service. They know their customers well and greet them by name. In a business where a lot of people try to take advantage, its incredibly refreshing and reassuring to have a neighborhood shop that cares.

When I bought my first car, it was extremely stressful experience. The car was used - Honda 2005 with lots of miles on it(about 160000). I needed someone to look at it and make sure I was buying a good car that could last me for a while. I trusted AAMCO with the check up, and I am very glad I did. The service was great and helpful. I had all my questions answered, and as a first time car owner I had a lot of them and some were too silly. I was treated with respect and understanding. I left for home completely confident that I made the right choice. I have my car for almost 2 years now. It drives great, and I am thankful to AAMCO staff for helping me.

on 3/29/14 I called aamco to get my tranny fluid changed on my 2010 mazda cx9. I asked what was the price and was told 325.00 I said why so much . he informed me that my cx9 has a german transmission and requires special fluid. I said no it doesnt my transmission is a aisin f21 six speed transmission made in japan.and requires jws 3309 fluid or Toyota t-lv fluid .thats when I knew these guys were not honest. how do you intend to keep customers if you lie about little things like changing tranny fluid. Sorry this review was not for this transmission shop. I apologize. This place does great work.and are very honest people

Horrible experience with this place! Had our transmission rebuilt on my 2008 Ford Edge about 6mos ago, spent $4,200+, and since being "rebuilt", Ive had to bring it back 5X for the SAME problems: Transmission continues to leak, knocking, and getting stuck in gears. Last night my husband and I were stuck in Yonkers at 1AM because the transmission wouldnt shift out of first gear! We called AAMCO in Yonkers and they wanted to charge us $200 to get the car. AAMCO corporate of course has no customer service line to file complaints. STAY AWAY from this location and company!

My wife and I have been taking our cars to AAMCO for 20 years. Steve and Clara have treated us like family (actually better than family). They do great work, theyre fast, and most of all HONEST. There have been a few times over the years when I thought my van was in dire straits, and was told that the problem was much MUCH less than I thought. Both in severity and in price. Thats why this is the only review Ive ever written on Google Plus. They deserve it. And now my son takes HIS care there as well!

Super friendly and honesty. It is not cheap, but they dont rip you off. They do good jobs and honor and warrant their works. I had my transmission done there, although it was not cheap ( but transmission work has never been cheap no matter where you go). I just had my U-join and seal replaced, and the under-car noise that bothered me is gone! Again, it was not cheap, but I dont feel I was ripped off. I will go back there if I have car problems again (hope not!) Joseph Li

When it was time to change brake pads on my 2007 Toyota, I decided on AAMCO Norwalk purely based on the 5-star reviews I read here. Let me add my voice to the choir - Steve has a way about him that immediately makes the customers feel comfortable. In a business that sometimes gets an bad rap, Steve is an honest and knowledgeable guy who takes the time to get to know his customers, and is sincerely interested in keeping people happy and driving safely. Two thumbs up!

If I could give this place NO STARS, I would........They are total SCAM ARTISTS. I would not send my worst enemy to this shop........RUN in the other direction......They will take your money, smile in your face, and not fix your car.............That woman at the front desk CLARA is a LIAR covering up the SCHEMES of the men in the shop.......This place is an utter DISGRACE for a business........STEVE is a complete CROOK

I am a new customer, and I had the pleasure of meeting with Steve personally. I was provided the best customer service experience Ive ever had. Steve was able to diagnose a rattling noise from underneath my Nissan Rogue within 10 minutes, and within the hour had fixed it along with my failed signal light, and check engine light. I highly recommend visiting AAMCO on Main Ave in Norwalk for any automotive repair needs.
