I was very excited when this store opened up in my neighborhood. I went today for the first time and although the store was very nice like other Ulta beauty stores, I had a very sad experience here. The floor manager working the afternoon shift by the name of Renee was very unpleasant to me when I asked for assistance while shopping and then proceeded to follow me around the store. When I asked about a certain perfume, she asked me "if I planned on purchasing it" in a very hostile manner. I tried to give her the benefit of doubt and not accuse her of racial profiling but she wouldnt even allow me to carry the perfume in my shopping bag. Instead, she insisted on leaving it in the front with the cashier until I go to pay. I was well dressed and very polite. I saw no reason for being treated the way she treated me due to the complexion of my skin? I will also include how nice she was to the other customers I saw her interacting with (which were white customers). I hate to leave this comment but its sad that discrimination still exist in our progressive society.

I was very exited when this store open but every time I go the girls at the cashier are in a bad mood I ask them a simple question n they always answer me in a bad way you can never get help cause there is never enough staff. Took my friends there different time n we all have the same experience. the girls that do eyebrows are a little nice but didnt do a really good job on me or on my friends I rather drive all the way to Milford but sometimes is hard so I have no choice but to go . I hate to say this but this place really needs new staff or this girls need more time in training ..

I just went for a hair cut and blow dry with your hair dresser Marquita.. I thought she did a fantastic job on my hair.. She listened to exactly what I told her to do with my hair which was layers all around, not too short but short enough.. Bangs shorter etc.. She did exactly what I wanted her to do.. It came out looking very nice.... She took her time and made sure everything looked good.. She was also very sweet and kind.. I would recommend her and refer her to my friends/family.. I was so glad I went today... I will go to her again!!

My experience at the new Ulta store/salon in Norwalk was amazing, I received a shampoo and style from Regina a few days ago and she did a beautiful job. All of my questions were answered during the consultation, about both hair and makeup. Its obvious that shes had plenty of experience because Ive never been so comfortable in a new stylists chair until Ive visited her. Ill definitely be returning!

If I had a choice I would not give this place any stars at all . this place is the worst place to shop at they are such snobby rude sales people including the supervisors and dont know a thing of what you are talking about when you ask for help they are not trained well at all Macys is better BETTER OFF GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!! STAY AWAY .

NEVER, EVER, EVER get your makeup done here!! One lady who works here(idk if she still does) made me late for my prom last year because she doesnt know how to do anything. I shouldve known just by the way she did her eyeshadow it was awful.
