Its odd to me that I never thought of reviewing this place. I mean, having lived in Oakville for 20+ years, and having had 2 kids going through all kinds of youth and high school sports, Ive literally been to this place upwards of 20 times or more. But, it never struck me as a "reviewable" place. Its not like I just up and go here for dinner on a random Saturday night, however...its worth putting the experience(s) out there right? First and foremost, I will say this: I have never been a huge fan of any food Ive ever had here. Whether it be inside the hall or outside at the pavilion. Now, me not being a fan doesnt mean its bad, its really not. But for a place like this, I expect the food to be at least a few notches above standard "Stag food", and I have not found that to be the case. Things are under seasoned for the most part, and mostly lacking any real culinary punch. That being said, its not bad...at all. For the amount of people they serve in the amount of time they serve them, its actually pretty good big picture-wise, Im just not always a big picture guy. Secondly, the service. As run of the mill and "just par" the food tends to be, the service is everything but those things. The people that work here are amazing, always. Attentive, friendly, accommodating...Ive never once been in this place and wanted for service They do it damn near perfectly. Again, given what they do, and how they do it, the place is solid. You shouldnt go to a sport banquet expecting to be blown away by the buffet food (like I do). Its buffet food, designed to serve 100 or more people...be happy youre eating at all.

I am a professional DJ and frequent the Grand Oak Villa often. As a wedding DJ I have the privilege of being able to get to know the food and service of many of the top venues in the area. I can say with total confidence that the Grand Oak Villa is a perfect choice for your wedding or any other event that you may have. The food and the service is absolutely wonderful! They have perfected all of the dishes that one would consider "favorites" while also having a wonderful variety of dishes that would rival any conventional fine dining restaurant! The Vodka sauce is spectacular! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone is looking beautifully cooked food and exceptional personalized service! 5 Stars in my book!! :)

Best food around. The Grand Oak Villa has great service, along with the best food you will find for a venue that accommodates Weddings and other events. This business is family owned so you know their hearts are poured into it. Mike Distasi is a Master Chef. Libero, the owner, is a class act and never does less than 110% for your event. You can book here with confidence that you will get great compliments from your guests.

The Grand Oak Villa is a wonderful venue for weddings and special events. Chef Michael is a true culinary artisan. Being a family owned and operated venue, the DisTasi family always treats their guests as family in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As a wedding and events vendor, it is always a treat to work with the Grand Oak Villa staff. Highly recommend!

We hired Distasi Catering to provide the food for our daughters bridal shower. We could not be any more pleased with their food or staff. Mike really went out of his way to make sure that all of our daughters requests were met. Their display was beautiful, their food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. I had my wedding reception there, as well as several other celebrations. I also run a banquet every year there for our Martial Arts Schools. I have to say they are AMAZING. Food is always great, facility is beautiful and well kept, and the people are just a pleasure. I normally never review anything with 5 stars, but in this case it is well deserved!

The venue itself is just beautiful, our guests were wowed. The food delicious, and Angela and the staff were A+++ . Very accommodating and friendly. We looked at other places in the area. Not only was the Grand Oak Villa one of the better looking venues but affordable. Exceeded our expectations!
