We worked with Elyse from Elyse Harney Real Estate in 2011 to find our retreat in the Salisbury/Lakeville/Sharon area. She came highly recommended to us and my husband and I expected the usual real estate representation that seems standard to the industry. We were taken aback when we met Elyse because from the outset, she was professional but warm and cheerful and was intent upon finding us the right property no matter how long the process would take. We immediately felt like we were her only clients. Over the course of several months we made countless trips to Litchfield county and were always warmly met by Elyse and whisked around the countryside to find the right house. When viewing houses, Elyse never pushed us or invited us to see where our furniture might fit or gave any indication of a hard sell such as we have experienced with past realtors. She was extremely patient and was there to answer all our questions as they arose before, during and after any viewing. She worked tirelessly on our behalf and indeed when the deal fell through with our chosen house, we regrouped with Elyse and stared again with the same enthusiasm, professionalism and energy we had enjoyed at the beginning of our search. Elyse reassured us that our house was out there and it was only a matter of time before we found one. She was right, we found our dream home in Salisbury and Elyse was there to guide us throughout the purchase process. Following our move in, Elyse and her team were on hand to recommend local tradesmen, landscaping companies and any other query or question we had regarding the locale/house/services etc. When locked out of our house, we immediately ran up to the Elyse Harney Salisbury offices for a spare key! Navigating the real estate landscape is time consuming and stressful, there is little one can do about the time commitment, but spending the time with Elyse was a pleasure for my husband and for me and she took the stress out of the process entirely. We put our faith and trust in her and we have reaped the rewards ever since our first encounter. I highly recommend Elyse Harney and her team to you if you are considering a property search in Litchfield county, you simply cant go wrong!

My husband and I moved here from Indianapolis, IN to be closer to our kids and grandkids. We knew no one here other than our family, and with one son being located in upstate New York and a daughter outside Boston, we were looking for a middle ground. It was purely our good fortune that one of the properties we fell in love with online was represented by Elyse Harney Real Estate. I arranged to visit and view the property as well as others in the area, and we were lucky enough to get Elyse Morris as our agent. I spent one day with her looking at a variety of properties. Not only did she show me the properties, she also toured me through the area - Millerton, Lakeville, Salisbury, Sharon, and Norfolk. She gave me background and great info on each of the towns in the area. She made the entire day a fun experience! We made a second trip back several weeks later to view some additional properties, and this time my husband came along. Elyse made this whole endeavor so enjoyable and so easy. She was totally professional and very well versed but she was also a delight to be with and, having lived in the area most of her life, an invaluable source of information and help. We found a place we loved, she helped us through the negotiation process and getting an accepted offer, then through inspection and closing. She even forfeited a portion of her commission to help offset the cost of an issue that came up during the home inspection. We absolutely would never consider calling on another realtor should the need arise to sell our home here in Sharon. She is a delightful person, an experienced and savvy real estate agent, an invaluable source of information and help during our adjustment to a new community. Harney (real estate) itself seems to have more of the best homes in the area we were looking (NW CT) than any other broker. We chose Harneys Tom Callahan as our broker (buyers broker) because he had a good (actually the best) balance of being genuinely helpful and pleasant to be around .... best of all the other brokers we met. We changed our house preference after thinking about issues he raised with a house we wanted to get. When we told him we wanted to see 8 houses in two days, he arranged it without any hint of being burned out by the scheduling or the driving or the coordination. During the search process, which lasted many months, Tom was helpful in narrowing down our list of properties. He had already seen most of them. Once we did find the house we wanted, Tom made things happen on an expedited schedule, handled the negotiations over price, and pursued points that we had not been aware were important until later. Tom connected us to many others in the local community and his people and resource recommendations so far have been spot-on. I dont think we could have found a better agent for our needs.

There are so many wonderful adjectives in the English language that I could use to describe Roberta Green of Elyse Harney Real Estate, but here are just a few to start. Knowledgeable, honest, and professional are the first three that come to mind. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the local Realestate laws, local inspectors, lawyers, and anything else youll need to know to get started on your home buying adventure. She is honest, and very forthcoming with everything she knows about the property listing. My wife and I always felt that her advice was in our best interest. She even hired an independent contractor to inspect the roof of the house for her peace of mind as well as ours. She is always professional and courteous while bringing a fun sense of humor with her to every showing. Buying your first home can be very intimidating but meeting Roberta and having her on our side throughout the entire process made the experience fun and exciting. The way buying your first home should be. I will always recommend her services, highly.

There are a lot of highly competent real estate firms and agents in Litchfield County, but if youre looking for a home in Salisbury/Lakeville/Sharon, theres only one. Elyse Harney Morris (and her mother Elyse Harney) are icons in Litchfield County and literally pillars of the Salisbury/Lakeville/Sharon communities. Theyre the go-to people for just about anything, but definitely when it comes to real estate. When we started looking, we were interested in Salisbury/Lakeville/Sharon exclusively, and to make things even more difficult, on the first day that Elyse Harney Morris took us out, I pointed out the window of the car and said "I want that house." There was no "for sale" sign in front of that house so, of course, it wasnt on the list of homes she was showing us that day. Guess what? Elyse made it happen; we bought the house I pointed to that day. What a ninja real estate person she is and what a delightful person she is to boot. And we did our closing in her mothers kitchen! We bought a beautiful home and made lifelong friends.
