Catalyst is a great fitness club. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the entire facility was redone to add more room so that the new top floor is cardio and the bottom floor is weights, machines and a room for fitness classes. Mostly I like that the place is clean and run professionally. All different people of different ages come to get in shape. I would like to see more modern weight machines, ex. the leg abductor and adductor. I dont use it because I dont like the versions they have. Locker area needs more room; any more than two people and it gets tight. Dumbbells need checking because some are loose. Anyone drops one of them on their head or foot and the gym could be held liable.

This place is terrible. They charge 40 bucks a month and they "include" classes,towel service and several other services into the price. The only problem is half the time there is no towels available when you go to grab one. The classes are never at convenient times. This is probably one of the worst gyms Ive ever been to. It seems like its more of a hang out spot. There are a few other gyms in the area that do provide services and keep up to there agreement. The machines are outdated for the money they charge..It wouldnt be so bad if they made good on the other services they "offer".

I really enjoy working out at Catalyst (any gym after work is tough to get to because of fatigue, but always feel better later). Purchased one of their specials and was able to have 4 sessions with a great trainer, Jake. He was professional and very knowledgeable, and all through the workouts (which were tough!), he was very encouraging. It would be great if the space was available for a larger locker room, but its clean and very nice, offering anything someone would need after a workout. We also enjoy the yoga classes, teachers are great.

Nice gym. Plans are pretty expensive compared to a gym like planet fitness. If you live in Southbury or a surrounding area this is the closest gym. They have two floors and I will say they do have many machines that other gyms do not. I cant commit to going here because the plans are too expensive for me personally.

Nice gym, but plans are too expensive. I went here for a while but had to quit because I couldnt afford them, so Im going to a gym thats farther away but much less expensive. If they had a lower membership monthly fee, Id join again.
