This gym has changed management in the last several months, so some of the negative reviews no longer apply. This gym really is a great fit for me. I usually go mid afternoon, so I probably miss the busiest times, but I have never waited for a cardio machine- there have always been several open. Sometimes I need to adjust my (obscessive compulsive) order of machine use, but Ive always been able to go back and finish my workout without waiting around. It has always been spotlessly clean, including the ladies locker room, which is of adequate size when Im there. They do ask everyone to wipe down equipment after each use, which you get used to quickly. If you think about it, having the last persons flu and cold germs removed is well worth having to remove your own. The staff also cleans the equipment throughout the day. The staff is friendly and welcoming, although there there doesnt appear to be a trainer on sight at the moment. There is a wide selection of patrons, some younger people there to socialize as well as workout, the hardcore heavy lifters, women in pretty clothes and make-up, and plenty of people like me, aging, overweight weaklings in baggy tights and old tee shirts. I have never felt intimidated or unwelcome. It is also amazingly inexpensive and in a good " miss the traffic" location. I briefly tried the edge and felt like the ugly stepsister, and I used to go to the Y, which was a bit grubby and hard to get to and even harder to find parking. If you dont need a pool or classes, this is the best choice. It is a clear upgrade for a lower price.

Great gym. The staff always greet you and say goodbye. They are friendly and to attempt to get to know you. One woman there always greeted me by my name, it was nice that she took the time to learn it. The lockers and bathrooms were re-done in the last year and are always clean. The machines are regularly maintained. I do wish this location had a large area for stretching/yoga. They do have trainers on site, free to use, but there seems to be a new one every few months- it would be nice for regularity. However, they are usually nice and knowledgeable enough. It would be nice to have WiFi on site (I am able to use UVMs network however as a guest (you need to confirm in browser for those having issues)). Overall, a great place to go for the casual to regular user. I am there once a day ever weekday for an hour to forty minutes at a time with freeweights, the smithson and sometimes treadmills. FYI the smithson closest to the back wall has greater resistance.

Ive been to more than 50 PF locations from Texas to Maine, and I must say that this location is the worst I have visited. Im sure it is adequate for those who do not know any better. The locker room is extremely small. The only mirrors are at the sinks directly in front of stalls- very inconvenient for getting ready. Showers are sub-par with no soap dispensers. There are NO pre-weighted barbells/EZ bars! This is the only location Ive ever been to that hasnt had this basic staple! The gym itself is the smallest Ive seen. No 30 min circuit area like all other PFs. Only 1 set of cables, 3 smith machines, no stair master, small stretching area. Everyone kept to themselves; no smiles to be had. Quite the sad place, this location :(

The only gym Ive ever been to without time limits on equipment. A low monthly cost gives you access to a clean inviting well stocked gym with extras such as tanning and massage chairs available too. Rows and rows of cardio equipment so you never have to wait long or at all. Weights can get a little crowded during peak times but open 24/7 so you can go whenever it works for you. The Black Card membership is the best deal giving you access to any of their clubs and the ability to bring a friend to help stay motivated or motivate them to join as well.

Is this subliminal advertising? I just noticed that on all the cardio machines there is something you should be aware off. Underneath the touch pad in light charcoal lettering is the corporate YOU BELONG Planet Fitness motto. Its barely perceptible but it is there, You can see it best on the stationary bikes just underneath the touch pad where you program youre workout. but it is on all of the cardio machines. I guess Planet fitness corporate feels they need to compete on a subconscious level to keep you a member.

My wife and I have been members for over a year now, and we have ZERO complaints! The staff is always friendly and accommodating; there is plenty of equipment to use, outside of the end of day (4 to 7 pm) rush hour during wintertime; the equipment is kept clean and sparkly; and you cant beat the price! Now the mens room is a bit small, and can be a hassle during those winter peak hours, but hey, its not Caesars Palace, am I right? Kudos to Shawna and staff!

Actually had a very good experience here. Nice and friendly staff, fun workout buddies, VERY clean and pretty good gear. The reason I dont give a full 5/5 stars is that the mens locker room is really small for the crowd, and the second is the large crowds. (Think waiting line for locker room, waiting line for bench, waiting line for eliptical, waiting line for threadmill, waiting line for ...). I just wish I still worked close to this location.

No frills gym. Staff does a good overall job of keeping clean and is generally nice as well as helpful. Would rate higher but I dont get the feeling the owners treat their staff as well as the could or should based on my experience of going here for a decade +. Great place to go to work out for the price. Not for "Hulk Hogan" types, though they do show up occasionally.

Cheap membership, gym stays fairly clean, though the locker rooms are a little lacking. Its usually very crowded during the day, but in the evening its usually almost empty. Open 24/7, very convenient. The staff is friendly but not overwhelming. I enjoy coming here, one of the better (and cheapest!) gyms Ive been to.

It has a cheap membership and it tries to keep dildos like Rob Golden and Eleonai Israel out. I dont want to see idiots on their phones when working out and if you need to be on the phone then you dont need to be working out. Also, there is a really hot redhead who works out here. Id love to smash her.

If youre looking for the basics - free weights, machine weights, treadmills, cycles, ellipticals, locker rooms - Planet Fitness is a perfect fit. For $10 a month, it is a clean gym with all the basic equipment. Once a month, free bagels for the morning folks and free pizza for the later crowd.

NO WIFI. This P Fit is really starting to show its age. Missing a chest press machine. Usually pretty crowded given area population and college town crowd. Staff is nice but generally indifferent. Its a P Fit and its close to Burlington, you generally know what you will be getting.
