This location is the absolute worst post office I have ever encountered and I have lived a lot of places. Several times in the past two months I have walked into the Ellendale Hwy location and have heard customers complaining about their home mail service. Every USPS employee (except one - thank you) that I have encountered is rude, defensive and wants to argue about doing their job. The residential carrier(s) (except one - thank you) refuse to scan bar-coded, pre-paid parcels at residence pickup. The postmaster at this location is argumentative too, and refuses to enforce scanning at residential pickup. There is no proof of acceptance/mailing until it departs Milton....and sometimes that doesnt even happen. The mail carrier left postage paid, out-going parcels in the mailbox and dumped the incoming mail on top of it...and then just drove off. Seriously ignorant. Trying to be nice to these USPS employees does not work - they become even more obtuse and argumentative. Avoid contact with the USPS employees at this location whenever possible. C.

Problem after problem after problem with this post office. Never in my life have I had such trouble anywhere I have lived in United States. If you get somebody on the phone and you have an issue they will give you an attitude and act like its your fault. Had it happen to me four times now. Absolutely ridiculous excuse for any level of responsibility. All theyll do is make excuses or tell you theyre going to call you back and never do so. If I had to work ethic of these people at any job I have previously held in my life I wouldve lost the job very quickly.

This is probably one of the worst managed post offices I have dealt with. On multiple occasions we have hand carried the official card to have our mail held, several days in advance of the stop date, to only find the mail still being delivered. Fortunately I have learned the hard way to put a stop mail date one day before we actually leave town so I can call the Milton post office to report the problem. The one time I talked with the post master about this problem all he gave me were excuses on why it was happening.

The worse postmaster Ive ever dealt with! He will lie in a minute and just make poor excuses all the time. I told him to have the mailman stop driving and tearing up part of my yard he tells me to move my mailbox. All the mailman have to do is stop on the road and take maybe two steps and problem solved. I tell him he get out for multiple houses and walk further on my block. The Postmaster act like he was surprised his mailman did this. What a joke! I wish I could post a picture.

Notice of Certified mail is not timely, 2nd time this year. (21 days) And last year the postmaster told me to wait 60 days to make a claim for a lost package. Well, If I had read the receipt I would have known that AFTER 60 days I could not make a claim. The postmaster lied that he told me to wait 60 days. He had the slip in his hands after 15 days and tracked the package himself.

Worst post office I have ever visited. According to website it is average 15 minutes per visit. Who wants to spend 15 minutes to buy a book of stamp? There is almost never anyone behind the desk, you have to ring a bell. Even then, they are no hurry to come to the window. Many is the time I have gotten frustrated and walked out.

Lazy. Delivery driver didnt get out and even try to deliver certified letter, watched her sit in truck and fill out the "we missed you" slip and just throw it in the mail box. Phone number also just rings busy. Terrible excuse for a post office
