Our neighbors hired Ryka to perform work on the exterior of their home in late 2014. We have “zero lot lines” here in Celebration so, they did need to access the side of our neighbors home from our yard. We understand that however, we have pavers and I just new grass put in so, I asked the workers wo walk around the back rather than on the new grass. I even helped them mover building materials off of my new grass. Most of the workers did not speak English so, I did have several conversations with the owner’s son about not having the workers walk through our yard. He said he understood but, we had to have the same conversation multiple times, and I even saw him do the exact thing he said he would get his workers not to do. On top of killing the new grass, they also pressure washed the home they were working on with no regard for our home and covered our house with dirt and debris. They left nails on our pavers, stained it with caulking, used our grass to clean paintbrushes, left used rollers, tape and trash throughout or side yard, and sprayed caulking-like material on our home. When I contacted the owner’s son who was overseeing the project about my issues, he said he would have to “talk to his dad.” His “resolution” was to have the same careless workers pressure wash my home and pavers. This of course was not acceptable to me as I don’t want someone so careless touching my home. I said there were a number of private pressure washing companies in town they could have come but, he refused and only offered his employee who had been arguing with me on several occasions. My neighbors who hired them seem to be fine with the work they performed for them but, if you cherish your relationship with your neighbors, Ryka might not be the best choice.

Ryan (Ryka Builders) is the best person to call for Construction/ Remodel needs. I am a new homeowner and I was wary calling a random handyman, but gave Ryan a call as I didnt know anyone in town. He made the appointment for 9am (the next day from the day I called) and was at my house at 9am on the dot. He gave me the cost of the labor plus the part the day before so I knew what to expect to pay. (I usually buy the parts ahead of time to avoid marked up parts). He does not mark up the price of his parts. He even fixed some extra drywall for me at no extra charge. He is not the type of person who up charges or tries to get extra money out of you. He is an honest business man who does a good job and even will help trouble shoot any problems he sees in the process. This was one of the most pleasant "house repair fixes" Ive had to deal with (aside from having to pay for a house repair). I highly recommend Ryan with Ryka, he is licensed and insured (I wondered that myself as it didnt say). And does a great job at a fair price with no hidden charges or fees. Everything is upfront and to the point. Exactly what you need in a Handyman. I will be using and recommending Brent to anyone I know. Trust me, this is the guy to go to.
