Allow me to take time out of my busy schedule to explain to you the worst gym i have ever attended. The original layout of the gym was decent until the crossfit element of another failed gym was implemented into the already cramped space of this failing gym. This had displaced the most used equipment in the gym (the free weights) and replaced it with a pull up cage of which no one uses in front of a mirror that no longer serves a purpose. The remaining equipment is at least 15-20 years old, The age shows in the unorthodox techniques used to repair the equipment (for example a trainer [Damien] admitting to me that he had disassembled a stationary bike to utilize a thumb screw to secure the WEIGHTS on a seated calf raise!) talk about liability. The club penalizes its own staff for misplacing the towels they provide to members; the very same cheap towels that you can buy 100 at Walmart for 10 bucks. Towels i might add that make heavy grit sandpaper seem soft. As you can imagine this creates a workplace hostility for the staff, which im sure are already stressed out for being underpaid. The bathrooms are deplorable and havent been remodeled since the construction of the building in the 70s or 80s which also looks to be the last time they were cleaned. The owner is the worst of them all, kicking members out of the gym for inexcusable actions taken on behalf of his staff. Despite knowing Club X was in the wrong and attempting to make amends with loyal customers he decides to reduce his already dwindling customer base without the proper due diligence. Im happy to admit i have found refuge in much better gyms such as LA Fitness, Club Fitness, Equinox, 24 hour fitness, and my personal favorite David Barton Gym in Downtown Miami. After reading the other reviews set on this site i am certain they are all falsified by the owner and his friends. TLDR: terrible gym, old equipment, rude staff/owner, & dirty bathrooms

ClubX is a well kept secret .. well.. at least it was a secret to me! I was so excited to see a functional training area -- so rare in gyms. They have some amazing equipment.. I have been a competitive athlete for years and have visited more than 150 gyms in my time... I saw a piece of leg equipment I have never seen before! The have a great assortment of cardio equipment including the illusive Arc-Trainer that are hard to find these days but are still the best rated lower body machine. The place was spotless... I mean clean clean clean! Very efficient and friendly staff as well. I wish I had an independent gym like this where I lived.. I am cursed with only having an LA Fitness near me. Nothing compares with a good neighbourhood gym.

I have been a member of numerous fitness clubs throughout my adult life and I have to say clubX is somehow doing something Ive never experienced before: providing exemplary customer service at a reasonable price!! Im happy to call clubX home. From the friendly staff and helpful fitness experts to the great equipment and always pristine conditions I really look forward to my workouts. Even at peak times there is never a wait for machines or equipment! Dare I say "the shangri-la of fitness clubs" If you live or work in the area I highly recommend clubX as a fantastic alternative to the big box environment we have all grown tired of...but hurry! I believe they have membership capped to ensure it always stays uncrowded!

I have had memberships at just about every kind of gym - la fitness, 24hr, golds, crossfit, class studios, you name it!! After being a member of clubX for a few months I really cannot imagine going anywhere else. I can honestly say I am so happy to have found this place, the staff always greets me with a smile and asks me about my day...theyve become like my second family :) They really have everything I need. I wholeheartedly recommend this club to anyone who enjoys extra special attention and is tired of the mess at your typical gym - this place is clean, never crowded, and the elevator ride is always a fun part of my day ;)

i stumbled upon this club when my previous club suddenly closed and a friend suggested i try clubX...what an absolute gem!! a bright, clean, spacious environment; the people are all friendly, the staff is extremely helpful; and the best part - theres NEVER a wait for machines or equipment. they have every kind of workout i can imagine, great equipment and from what ive notice their trainers are really creative with how they put their clients through the paces...i think i found my new home!
