This place could be great, but it is miss-managed beyond belief. I have complain to the manager that: -the Dumbbells are never in there right spots, not even in the right area. This is a 3 story LA fitness, and to find your weights sometimes you have to travel upstairs and downstairs just to find a complete pair. -the dumbbells and weights are spread out through out the floor, which not only is annoying and frustrating, but unsafe. I was told by the manager himself that "no -one else has complained or had a problem with my issues about the gym" AND "its not our (managements) responsibility to make sure customers re-rack their weights. We re-rack the weights twice throughout the day". When I called the corporate office, they said it is the responsibility of the gym to make sure everything is in there right place and that they should re-rack the weights every 1 to 2 hours. On top of that, this gym only has 2 yoga balls, which is unheard of for a gym, one is popped and the other constantly needs re-inflated. They tell me the equipment managers has ordered more but that is over a month ago. I was told that I was the only one who "has complained about the yoga balls", which I find doubtful. I understand if this manger is in place because he keeps the gym running and the cost low, but doing your job does not increase the cost of maintaining the facility, and yoga balls and $50 online and can ship overnight.... The weight issue would not be a problem if it did not add 10-20 mins more to my workout just to find the weights I am looking for...

I came into this gym with a free guest pass just to check it out since its so conveniently located. Before even working out in this gym, I got swayed into thinking I was getting an "amazing deal" with a $99 initiation fee if I signed up right then and traded in my 3-day guest pass. Staff seemed very nice while I got a tour of the place and checked out the amenities - it seemed perfect for what I was looking for, so I took the bait. I was informed, before signing the contract, that I could back out of it within 3 days if I wasnt satisfied - easy enough. Turns out, initiation fee is actually supposed to be $25, but it seems this LA Fitness will do whatever it takes to rake in the money - talk about betraying customers trust right off the bat. I called my rep on the "3rd day" of my contract after hearing I just got jipped $70, so I could either cancel or at least get that portion of my money back. Left a voicemail - no callback, no response. I even called the gym - they said in order for me to get my money back, Id have to talk to a woman named Clair who just so happened to only be there M-F 9-5, which is extremely inconvenient for people who work (I would assume most people who can afford a monthly gym membership work during these hours). To top it off, I went to the gym yesterday and was told by the girl at the front desk that they now charge an extra $5-$10 per month just to get parking validated - ONLY applies to new customers. Really? There are plenty of other gyms in Miami with great customer service. I will never sign up with an LA Fitness again.

Llevamos tres meses y medio en este gym primero me dijeron una cosa y los beneficios que tendriamos di una cuota down grande por 3 people, ""ayer no me dejaron entrar porque solo el nombre de mi hijo aparece ""supuestamente en la cuenta""" Que si el no esta no puedo entrar etc etc, despues de 15-20 minutos perdidos me toco preguntar porque esta pasando esto si yo estoy pagando mi entrada de tres personas, excusas excusas, pague el mes de septiembre el dia 10 y hoy me cobraron $90.00 mas disque para agregar mi nombre a la cuenta que""yo abri con mi hijo menor de edad me senti estafada y que hago nada más que pagar porque lo necesito por mi salud...me siento tan mal con esas personas del gym se creen LOS DUEÑOS sera que el dueño si le importa como lo engañan a uno!!!!!!

This club is better than the other club on coral way because of the amenities. This one actually has a working sauna, pool, jacuzzi, and basketball court. Sometimes I drive all the way here (even though its 5.6 miles away) just to enjoy those amenities that are not available at the Coral Way location (which is like 5 min away from where I live). The employees that work at this club pretty much just do their job. The club is clean except the bathrooms, and sometimes there are free weights all over the second and third floors - but thats probably because ppl are lazy to put them back and the employees are just unaware. The flow of the machines are pretty good, first floor is all cardio, body mass machines and weights on second, ab machines and basketball court on third. I would give this club 4 stars but the reason I am not is because of the overall gym cleanliness and the parking situation. I am paying 10 dollars extra every month to park in the sunset garage, however LA Fitness only validates the parking ticket for 2 1/2 hours and if you pass over even one minute the garage will charge you $2-$3. I dont understand why theres a time limit when Im paying every month ($10 extra) for garage parking to workout at a gym that Im already paying a monthly membership for. It sucks that sometimes I have to drive all the way to Sunset for a sauna, pool, basketball court etc. LA Fitness needs to step their game up.

These people are sharks! We had changed our card information to be able to pay for the main membership fee on a scheduled date. Come that day we were not charged due the form of payment being declined. No warning. No email or phone call was made to inform us of this issue. Not until Black Friday did we find out, and only because an associate of this gym came into my girlfriends place of work and demanded that we pay for our membership. Trying to cancel and resolve this situation we called the corporate office. To our surprise they were no help. We spoke to someone named Amanda. After she had been 0 zero help I asked to speak to her manager or anyone else and she said "there is no one else who can help you we are the only ones that deal with these things". She kept tell us that there was no refund due that we only had a three day period to cancel and recieve a refund from when we signed up. We were not told this upon sign up as well as we told we only needed to a down payment of $60. So there was no way in hell to ever cancel and recieve any refund of any kind. The membership was fine until they came in our place of work a demanded money now we stuck with no way to cancel or be compensated for anything. We wont be going to the gym anymore just because we now feel violated of personal privacy.

This is by far the worst La fitness I have ever been to. Two of the trainers (one of them Alejandro) are extremely rude, cursing, showing little customer service. They think they own the gym. I have been harassed a couple times for working out with my boyfriend (who looks extremely fit). Basically they are accusing us of "training" together, when we only workout and support each other. It happened a couple times already since we joined. They confronted us as we walked in the gym right before our workout so no need to say how disturbing it was. The head manager of the gym had to calm Alejandro down because he was threatening us. Thats when the low-life started going back and forth and cursing at us. The gym itself kinda sucks because all the weights are scattered around, the spinning classes are boring. It takes you 15 min to get parking.
