I went to RED Salon and Spa on May 20, 2017. I had a hair consultation with Stella a few days before hand so that she could see my hair and get an idea of what I wanted from pictures I had. During the consultation I asked if she had an idea of what it would cost to get everything done so I wasn’t shocked when I went to pay. Stella quoted me and we set up an appointment for me to come back and actually get my hair done. I came in and Stella spent 4 &1/2 hours working on my hair, the last hour and a half was after the store had closed, I was so grateful because I thought she was doing the best that she could. I was very disappointed when I found that was not the case. She underestimated my hair, I have a LOT of hair. She did not bleach my hair light enough for the color to stick to my hair. She did not ask if I wanted to come back so she could lighten it again at a later date, as to minimize the damage to my hair. Instead she dyed my hair and it didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted it, I wanted Pastel Purple I got Pale Blue. Since it was late and my hair cut wasn’t completed yet (we were going to do a design on my undercut)I gathered the products she recommended and paid. Stella gave me her number and told me that she would text me a time to come back so that we could fix everything. This was a problem because she told me a time to come in and as I was sitting in the parking lot, waiting, at the time she said to be there, I got a text from her saying she couldn’t make it. Then she went on vacation, and at this time only a few days later, all of the color was gone from my hair and it was a horrible marigold/dandelion yellow and I wanted it fixed. I made a new appointment to see someone else and when Stella found out, she freaked out. She told me to wait for her to come back and that she would fix everything for free and that if I went to someone else they would make me pay for everything all over again. So I waited, when she came back and got me in her chair she told me that she got in trouble for giving me a free haircut the last time I was there and that she was going to charge me full price to fix her mistakes. I was confused because I asked her for a quote and she quoted me lower than the actual cost of what she was doing, and now this was my fault? She talking to me like I wanted everything for free and that I was being unreasonable when she told me that if I waited she would fix her mistakes for free. I was very upset and I put a review on Google yesterday, but I took it down when the owner called me and told me they would make everything right, but she tried to push hair extensions on me when thats not what I wanted, I already have way to much hair I don’t want to add more. But she told me she would have someone from the shop call me this morning to set up another appointment for me to come in and actually get my hair fixed this time. The call never came and frankly I’m tired of being let down. I haven’t gotten my hair done for a year and a half before this because I don’t have the money to get my hair done often. I wanted to feel spoiled and beautiful but all I got was wasted time, money and a sense that nobody there actually cares about me. So I will not be going back, my friends and family will also never come here. I learned a huge lesson from my experience; If you live your life thinking everyone has the same heart as you, you will be stepped on and disappointed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and that will never happen again.

I love this salon. I recently moved here and like most girls I’m picky and require a bit of upkeep when it comes to my hair. I was referred to Ashley after seeing someone whose hair was just so gorgeous I had to know where she got it done! Ashley is beautiful inside and out and makes the vision that I have for my hair a reality every single time. I can honestly say that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with my hair thanks to Ashley and her adorable and talented assistant, Noelisa. Noelisa recently graduated from beauty school and has an extremely promising career ahead of her, she’s amazing! These girls make me feel like I have my very own glam squad! The salon itself is really nice, relaxed and the entire staff is super friendly and just a great representation of their craft. Kathleen, the receptionist is warm, friendly and extremely helpful. She remembered me from my first visit and if that’s not the personification of customer service I don’t know what is. Red Salon is just an all around great experience! The prices are reasonable, the locations are convenient and it’s the place to go if you want to look great, feel great and have a stylist to devote your loyalty to. I am so incredibly thankful to have found this salon and that I will never have to go through the sometimes horrifying process of finding someone to trust with my hair again! I love, love, love this salon!

Ive been going to this salon for many years and every year or so my hair stylist would leave. Id make an app with a new one and always loved it there. I was always happy with my cuts and the staff. Its been a different experience this year. I strayed away from my normal hair dresser that just moved back into town . Her name is Stella . Our schedule wasnt matching up so I booked a cut with another stylist. She took it personal. A few months later I made app with my usual..She made it so uncomfortable even when I explained why I did not use her last time. To say the least, I had to come back because the cut wasnt as good as my last. She was polite but underlining really sarcastic... I still tipped her well and hoped she would get over it. I came back a couple weeks later for my free birthday manicure . My hair stylist made a joke thinking I was complaining about my cut. Awkward. The nail lady over applied the nail polish and it could never fully dry. Waste of time..She made comments about my highlights but after I told her I got them done here ..again it was uncomfortable /cattiness . I would not recommend this salon to a friend anymore.

I just moved here, and I needed to find a new salon. Thought Id try Red since it got such great reviews and is right down the street from where I live. Asked for something shorter (around chin-length)- my hair was cut up to my ears! Absurdly short! My stylist was obviously not paying attention to what she was doing while she was cutting my hair. I will never ever return to this salon. UPDATE: The owner called me today and asked how the service at her salon was (Im assuming she saw this less-than-stellar review). I told her that the stylist cut it way too short and that I wasnt happy with it. She offered to wash it and blow it dry for free and to show me ways to style it and make it cute. The woman who did my hair this time (Ashley) was really nice and really knew what she was doing. She even offered to trim my hair for free as it grows out. After all this, Im assuming that the first stylist (she never told me her name) was either having an "off day" or that she was just inexperienced. All-in-all, Im impressed with their customer service, and I will probably go back, but I wont take any chances on any stylist but Ashley!
