Falen Williams has been my hairdresser for about two years now. My hair is thick AND dense as well as coarse, dry, frizzy, wavy, color treated and long. After a lifetime of braids and buns, at 62, I now have silky, flowing, GORGEOUS hair that gets complements all the time, thanks to Falen. When I came to her, my hair had been fried and she nursed it back to health. She styles it straight, wavy or curly and it always looks awesome. My cut is layered with face framing and she gave me great bangs when everyone said I couldn’t. She is the only hairdresser that has ever gotten my hair color right, which is strawberry blond. There is no substitute for the intuitive talent and love for doing hair that Falen has. She is more upset than I am when my hair is not to her satisfaction. Falen listens carefully and doesn’t give up until it is right. This salon is truly where Falen belongs. You see stylists of all ages sharing techniques with each other in a non threatened fashion that only professionals are secure with. I don’t know how the owners brought together so many talented people, but it is a credit to them for getting it right! Owned by real hair stylists, these women got it right. I have lived in Fort Myers since 1992 and this is the only place I would get my hair done. I noticed a few negative reviews and I have to wonder what stressful situations these people are dealing with in their private lives, because they sound like they are talking about a different salon than the one I go to. You dont keep stylists as long as this salon does and are so popular with the community if they do not know what they are doing and are doing it right!

This place is such a waste of money, dont even bother. All these reviews on here were obviously done at the same time by these workers friends. I paid $55 for a haircut I could have gotten for 15 bucks across the street from Fantastic Sams. I went to a higher end salon hoping to get a little bit edgier of a twist on a common style, and after explanations and pictures I got the SAME cut... like I didnt know what I was asking for! Youre literally paying more for the name of the salon because obviously their skill level is the same as anywhere else. The thing that really got to me, however, was how my stylist could literally not stop talking about anything else except their products and services. I tried so hard to make small talk and be personable, and I was constantly shut down to instead talk about what product I should be using and routine I should be following (of course by visiting them more often). I ended up feeling like I was in an hour and a half infomercial I couldnt escape from. Seriously, give me a break. We live in the Information Age where we can easily buy the products youre trying to up-sell for half the price online. I ended up having to fix the trim on my long bangs because I realized when I got home they werent symmetrical. I wont name my stylist because Ill give her the benefit of the doubt and say its because it was getting late and I was her last appt., and she kept looking at her coworkers giving the not-so-subtle looks telling her to hurry up so they can close up and go home on time. Tl;dr: Keep looking, dont bother.

I went in with virgin silver with some salt & pepper shading. I wanted to leave a mutlidimensional blonde . Amelia recommended doing 4 different colors. To make a long story short I ended up with a orangey red head of hair. Highlights could bot be seen at all. Something went wrong when they added the toners. Spent nearly 8 hours there and over $400. I go back the next day only to be left with a darker brown and green tinted hair. I never spent that much $ on my hair ever in my life. I purposefully waited for an opening with a Level 5 or higher stylist believing that Id be in good hands. She was super sweet and her assistant was great too but they ruined my hair and Ice spent $100s more since then trying to undo the damage they caused me. To spend that much money and for the owner and manager not to step in and help when they clearly saw the r esults werent anything like they told theyd be. Her boss actually told her the toner formulas to use so neithe of them knew what they were doing. No discount...No Money back...No apologies...nothing. I used my tax return to go through this experience and still months later Im dealing with the after effects of what they did to me. They affected my self esteem and dont care at all. Im a teacher without much disposable income and this has been so hard on me financially. My hair is so damaged. My hair wont curl anymore at all. Apart from cutting it all off again and starting over Im just stuck with hair I absolutely hate.

This is my first review ever, I read them, not write them but the incident I had at this salon over a month ago is still making me upset every time I think of it. I visited Studio RK for the first time about a month and a half ago, after spending 4 hrs, and $300, I was suggested a Redken cleansing conditioner that I ended up purchasing. I have fine hair, the bottle literally reads "for coarse hair" but I went with the experts advice and decided to give it a try. I gave this product 2-3 tries before being convinced that it left my hair greasy and disgusting... The very opposite of what its intended. I then returned to Studio RK 2 weeks after my purchase in order to exchange the product. The first excuse I got from a manager was that it was past the return period, I asked how so, and then she proceeded to take forever conversing with the owner of the salon on the matter. She later returned and basically called me a liar by saying that something was added to the formula in the bottle, after I stated that it was just as I had purchased it. This led me to think they must push to sell their merchandise and would make up ANY excuse in order not to have it exchanged/returned. After spending the largest amount of money on my hair that Ive ever spent, being insulted, and refusing to accept their $30, defected product, I deeply regret going there in the first place and made sure to cancel my following appointment. I would never recommend this salon to anyone and will not return.

My stylist Brittany was great, and Im very pleased with the haircut she gave me. Other than that, I am completely disappointed with this salon and would not recommend it to anyone. I had reserved an appointment online using their own websites reservation portal and even got an email confirming my reservation. When I arrived, they could not find my appointment anywhere on their computer. I even showed them the email confirmaton I had received, but the still had no knowledge of my appointment. They told me they could "squeeze" me in. It just so happened there was a cancellation, so "lucky me" I suppose... After the haircut, I was brought to the front (again, dealing with the same girl who couldnt find my appointment earlier) She told me my price was $30 more than what I had expected (even with the $20 off coupon, which was the only reason I was going, it was still way too expensive, especially for just getting a trim and shape up of my hair) I questioned her as to why the price increase. She informed me that different level stylists cost different prices (this is mentioned NO WHERE on the website OR in the salon!) Their level corresponds to the price they charge, not how good they are at what they do. I was very unhappy. I believe this is deceitful and does not take care of the customer, which should be a businesss priority. Very disappointed with the customer service at Studio RK.
