This is my first use of Pro-Tech. I am in no way connected with the business. I researched the BBB and city for any complaints and read what few reviews there were on this business. It seems I have found a gem of a shop to have repairs done on my vehicles. Two weeks ago, I had my AC repaired in my 1999 Chevy Tahoe. Being an former mechanic & AC Tech, I was somewhat critical of the worked that would be expected. I had done some previous repairs to keep it going and had discovered a small leak in the compressor. I knew it would not be long before I needed to replace it. I did not have the reclaimation cart and flushing equipment, as this shop has, to properly do the job right the first time. So, as much as I hated to give my vehicle to someone else to repair, I thought is was best and would take the chance. So far, I think I made the correct decision. New compressor, new, dryer/accumulator, new orfice tube, new expansion valve, system completely flushed and now cold air. Orfice tube had metal and expansion valve for rear was plugged. The shop took their time to ensure a clean flush, pulled vac, checked for leaks, charged and checked for leaks again. Shop has a 90 day warranty on all labor and a liftime warranty on all parts. Although not a Delphi labeled compressor, all parts were new and not reman or repair replacement. I called ahead to make arrangements with Earl to drop my vehicle off the night before. I was assured that the vehicle would be locked inside to begin work the next day. I was called about 1230 the next day that my vehicle was being tested and would be going through a final leak check. About an hour later I was called that the vehicle was ready. The technician took his time as we went over the repair and shown me the metal in the orfice screen and expansion valve. I checked the schrader valves for any small leakes and with all the windows having been rolled up in 97F heat and sun for more than a couple of hours, the AC on MAX was able to pull the 120F+ temp inside down to 80F in about 10-15 minutes as measured with a thermometer in the far left vent. The short trip home pulled it down further to 52F with no problem. The AC continues to work great with no issues. I am glad I took a chance in trying Pro-Tech and based on my experience so far I plan to use them in the future. I am not as agile as I was 50 years ago to be crawling around on or under a car. The simple things I will continue to do, the hard stuff, I will take to Pro-Tech. Thanks Pro-Tech for a job well done at a fair price and at an honest business. I recommend giving them a try. I will report if anything happens to change my review. Jim H. in Mandarin P.S. I encourage everyone, when you find a business that provides either good or bad service, you take the time to provide a review for others to consider. Most people like to report only the bad. Be honest and informative in the reviews.

As a female, I find it very daunting and tiresome to find a real good auto repair center. Mainly because a lot of places are under the impression women have no idea what they are talking about or are very ill informed about vehicles. It is extremely hard to find a mechanic who will be truthful in their work and put all their effort into fixing the problem at hand in a timeless manner. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have finally found a auto repair shop I can fully trust with my vehicles and who will treat me as if I were the most valued customer who has ever walked through their door. I found this place on a whim and thought Id give it a try as I have an extreme amount of problems with my vehicle and have bounced around from mechanic shop to mechanic shop only to be let down by getting either ripped off or being told the problem is resolved when it in fact was not, yes they actually think because I have a vagina I have no knowledge of what goes on under the hood of my car (ahem...Tire Kingdom). I found Pro Tech on Sunbeam Rd from online reviews and decided to give them a call. I first spoke to Earl whom was very sweet and informative, he let me know the approximate wait time which was a plus since I have a child and we all know how it is, waiting and a child dont always exactly mix. He told me to call them around the time I was wishing to head over to their shop so they can give me a heads up on a wait time, which I thought was completely considerate. Upon entering the shop I had my doubts, just like any other shop but those doubts immediately changed as I was greated with friendly smiles and a warm welcome by Lantz I explained the situation with my car and I handed over my keys hesitantly. About thirty minutes later Lantz came out and let out a big sigh, "Uh Oh" I thought, "this cant be good....the sigh is never good" He then explained the problem at hand which wasnt a big problem, all I had to do was go back to the original shop I was at a day earlier and have the current parts replaced with OE parts. The best part is, they didnt even charge me for a diagnostic check! Dont expect a free hand out upon visiting this shop but I thought that was very considerate of them, they couldve charged me out the wazoo for fixing the problem just with experienced knowledge as a mechanic but they were truthful, courteous and knowledgable just like an auto repair shop should be. I will definitely be returning to ProTech on Sunbeam Rd. for any repairs I need done on my vehicle, even for minor things like an oil change. I think you should all come and check this place out and give it a try I guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face and a great running car to show for it. Thank you everyone at ProTech!

Pro-Tech is absolutely wonderful! Weve been bringing our old vehicles there for a few years now. They are so nice and they have never treated me like some girl who wont understand and Ive never felt like they were holding back information. They always fix whats wrong but they go beyond that too. After I started taking our cars there I found out that more than a few friends and family members also swear by the place. One of them does the repairs on his truck himself but when hes out of town he sends his wife there with her SUV. Our vehicles are old. Other places will go through with their checklists and seem to be trying to find everything they can possibly sell us. Pro-Tech will find other things wrong while doing a repair and let me know whats wrong and give me the honest facts about it rather than a sales pitch. I have actually taken one of our vehicles to another place since I started using Pro-Tech. But the problem just came back a week later and when I took it to Pro-Tech they fixed the entire problem for me. There were multiple things contributing to the problem and they fixed them and it didnt cost me an enormous amount of money. I really just cant say enough good things about them. Yeah, theyre not open on the weekends. But Ive learned thats not a good enough reason to go somewhere else. Its worth it to go out of our way so Pro-Tech can fix the vehicles and we arent stuck without a vehicle again a week later. And, with as good a job as they do, they deserve weekends off.
