Would never use this company for any work. They are not upfront and honest. We called for an estimate to have rotten wood replaced under our vinyl siding. We explained in detail over the phone what we needed. They sent someone out the next day. The guy showed up and said "uh, so you want to look at getting new siding?". I explained to him that we had a few different places that needed the siding taken off and replace the rotten wood underneath. He responded he wasnt sure they did that. Yet, hes a salesman for the company and doesnt know what his company does? He called his manager and he also said they dont do that and we need to call a handyman. We called the company to complain about our experience and they said they can replace rotting wood, but "its not the type of job they LIKE to do". Pretty much saying theyd only do it if we were replacing all the siding on our house. And then they decided to tell us they were booked solid for 3 months. Yeah right. They could have told us over the phone that they couldnt do it, rather than us wasting time off of work to not be given a straight answer. We have gotten a quote from them in the past for a roof leak repair and they had the highest price estimate, we will never call them again.

Hired Universal Roofing after have a leak inside the house. They were quick to come out that day, checked over the roof, and advised they could temporarily repair issue, but new roof was needed. Temp repair completed that day to ensure no further issues or damage to interior or wood floors. Worked with Universal to get everything established and started work 6 weeks later. Crew was extremely professional, neat, and polite! No hidden charges and they advise you if there may be extra out of pocket costs before work begins! Work completed in 3 days and looks AWESOME! Will use Universal again for other homes or work properties. Awesome Job, Awesome Service, and Awesome Professionalism! Top notch service!

I originally found out about this company through a neighbor, and so I called them for an estimate. I am extremely happy with the end result of my roof, and remain impressed with the politeness and professionalism of both the people that work at the office, and everyone that I know worked on my roof. Through Jordan Huff, I got some of your cards and give them to pretty much anyone who even mentions needing to get their roof fixed. Ive gotten so many compliments on my roof, and that just assures me even more that Universal Roof & Contracting was the right decision. I called Universal Roof to repair a leak betwee a metal roof and an asphalt roof. It required asphalt shingles be removed so a waterproofing system could be applied. The work was started on time but due to rain and lightning the work was stopped for the day. When the waterproofing system was completed. Heavy rains were forcasted so the General Manager, Brandon,and a two man crew came out at 6 pm on a Friday night to replaced the shingles that were removed before the heavy rains came. The problem area has been sucessfully repaired in a timely manner by the skillfull craftsmen of Universal Roof & Contracting.

We could not have been happier with the end result; we have a beautiful black roof with architectural shingles that sets off our house beautifully. I am so grateful to have found Universal Roof & Contracting! I have used them several times to add a roof vent, repair a soffit which was very difficult to access, and repair my roof after high winds. You can be sure I will call them when I need a new roof or any other roofing services. The company that installed my roof ten years ago went out off business within one year. I know Universal will be there when I need them. The employees in the Jacksonville Office are extremely responsive, courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. What more could I ask for? ;O)

I dont know who wrote these good reviews but I have serious doubts. My own experience shows only a Roofer who took advantage of Hurricane Matthew to over-inflate prices. A small temporary tarp (6 x3) was paid $615. Done in 15 minutes by a handyman sent by the company, who did not even had a ladder. And for the replacement of 12 shingles, they asked for $1500. At this price, my whole roof would cost more than $200.000. I asked a competitor and had it done in 40 minutes for $300. I will never let this Roofer get close to my house again. Unfair practices!

Called Universal Roofing to come out and give us an estimate to repair a leak over our garage. Devon Y. came out and inspected the roof and advised of the problem. He told us that he could temporarily repair it for us, which he did, and then gave us an estimate of what it would cost to completely repair the roof. We were so grateful and thankful to him for doing this for us. Devon was a professional, nice, young man and is an asset to this company. You can rest assured we will use this company in the future and recommend them to our friends.

I had "JV" (Jordan Smith) come over to the house to solve a an issue in my home. JV was honest, on time, detailed & went above/beyond to diagnose the issue. He even inspected things that were non-related to the issue to make sure all was in working order!! Also great communication from the time I made the appointment to the time JV made it out. HIGHLY recommended. These guys are awesome & will fix any issue. Roofing issues are scary for a homeowner, but these guys walk you through everything & are awesome!!!! Thank you!!!

I hade Universal come out to my house to look at a few issues. The estimator Marty was very knowledgeable and courteous. The workers that Nick,the production manager, had at my house where also very polite and made the projects look effortless. There was a small issue with one of the columns and Nick was back at my house within 2 hours of me notifying him to correct the small issue. I am very happy with the work that was performed and would recommend them to any of my friends and neighbors.

Universal came out a few months ago to inspect my roof. I knew it was old and needed replacement, but had no knowledge on how the process worked. Universals whole staff was amazing to work with and they were experienced in every aspect of their business . Any issues or concerns I had were addressed immediately. they even tarped my roof until they were ready to start to prevent any water damage on the interior. Thanks again Universal!
