Sorry - this is kind of long but bare with me - I am semi-new to the area. I have had the same hair stylist since I was a little girl but since moving here I have had to find a new place to go. I called in to make an appointment, explained that I have hair that goes down to the end of my back, I want a cut, FULL color, AND highlights. That was exactly what I said and what I thought I wanted. If a consultation is something that you would recommend you should say that, I didnt know and was just calling based on them having great reviews. Finding a new hair stylist is not something Im used to. I show up on time for my hair appointment and after sitting down I tell the stylist exactly what I said when I made the appointment. She told me that she will not have time to do that because I only booked for a partial highlight. Im sorry but I dont even know what a "partial" highlight is so I definitely didnt ask for that. I know I asked for something complicated and was open to suggestions however I didnt expect to be booked for something I didnt ask for and then told that, that is what I was going to get. I was almost to the point I wanted to leave but out of respect to the stylist that blocked my time I decided to just stay. It was my fault that I am not familiar with what it means to make a hair appointment and also NOT the stylists fault that the receptionist doesnt even ask questions when booking their clients. The point through all of this is that I feel the receptionist there are very rude. I think they should be more educated on how they speak to people before just doing what they want. I thoroughly enjoyed my stylist and even though I didnt get what I asked for, I ended up happy with the outcome. At least for the start of something different. I asked the stylist about how to book my next appointment so that I can make sure I do it right, the instructions she gave me vs. what the receptionist rescheduled me for is not the same. The stylist even told her what I wanted and I watched the receptionist completely ignore her and then moved on to something else. By recommendation she told me to come back in 4 weeks, when I requested that the receptionist looked at me ugly and said I dont think so. That really caught me off guard to say the least and then she left to go talk to the stylist. After coming back she said ok I can give you 4 weeks although that is way too early. I trust my hair stylist and wouldnt have expected the receptionist to make me feel so uncomfortable about what was recommended. Last but not least I asked her to confirm that I was booked for TWO processes, a full color AND then a partial highlight. She said it is the same at it was today. I said that is WRONG. I am not just coming for a partial highlight. She said you will have an hour that is plenty of time. I only received a PARTIAL highlight today and also a glaze. I went in at 12:15 and left at 3:30. How can you tell me that you are giving me an hour and that is enough time. She rung me up and I paid $300 NOT including my tip. She didnt give me a receipt and immediately moved on to other customers. I asked her if I was finished and she looked at me raised her finger to signal she is on the phone and said yes. I did not receive what I expected today and ended up OK with that. I paid WAY more then I thought I would and was even OK with THAT. But to be so disrespected by the receptionist makes that service NOT OK. I am still debating on canceling my next appointment because even though I appreciated my stylist I DONT appreciate being just another dollar sign. I also dont want to go back based on what the receptionist decides I will get when I do. I hope this gets to the appropriate person because I think if you want a regular base clientele you shouldnt treat people like they dont matter. Those receptionists are representing that salon and I will be more then happy to spend my money somewhere that doesnt treat me like that.

My first visit to Kosmos Hair left pretty good impression, though I found their services a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, I had to come to this place again, cause I needed to get my hair done same day, and they were the only available option. 1. The hair stylist was extremely rushy. Either he was expecting another client soon or, most likely, just tried to show off, that was very unpleasant experience, caused he was pulling my hair all the way up. Later on I also found out, that some foils were applied in the same, inaccurate manner. -1 star 2. He was so much overconfident, so he even didnt ask me what tone I used to wear as a base color. He picked up, he believed, perfectly matching one, which turned out to be totally wrong! -2 stars 3. He was trying too hard to appear the sweetest and nicest person in the world, complimenting everything I say and flattering me a lot. That looked silly and miserable, and I barely could hold my annoyance. Id prefer to get the good care of my HAIR, rather than listen to all this BS! -1 star 4. Just one positive point - he got an amazing haircut to my son few days before. +1 star ======= 2 stars. Next time Id only send my boys there, but gonna find another place for myself.

I have been going to Kosmos for about 5 years. After moving here from the northeast I was looking find a relationship with a hair stylist like I had previously enjoyed. I tried around the Jupiter area for a little while but wasnt very impressed. Then, a friend of mine reccomended Kosmos and one trip there and that was it. For a guy like me, Im not looking for a fancy hairdo. I just want to look professional and try to make the bare spots blend with the rest of the scalp. What was very important to me is the relationship. I go to Julia and she is fantastic and more of a friend than just someone who does a nice cut and onto the next customer. As a matter of fact, I got to know all the employees at Kosmos and I sincerely feel like they are one happy family with nice personalities. When my girls come to visit, Kosmos is their 1st stop. Good coffee and great candy as well.

My first experience here was not good and I left a bad review of that stylist. I received a call shortly after with a very sincere apology and asking if I would like to give the owner, Stavro, an opportunity to fix my cut. At first I said no and then thought well SOMEONE has to fix it so I said yes. Stavro stayed after they were closed on Saturday night to accomodate me. He was completely humble, kind, gracious and TALENTED! He took his time making sure my hair laid perfectly and gave me the smoothest blowout of my life. This was definitely a situation where I schlepped in and strutted out feeling like a million bucks. I would highly recommend Stavro for two reasons: He is massively talented and the stellar customer service is priceless.
