TLE is the best daycare in Central Florida! My son previously attended Star Child, and I thought they were good until my son started coming home smelling like a dirty diaper; I figured they left him sit in one way too long if he smelled like that. There were quite a few other issues, mostly the lack of efficient communication between the staff and the parents. So, after contacting and touring other day cares in the area, TLE came into the picture, as they were just about to open! I have family members that work at other day cares in other parts of Central Florida, I would not want my child to go anywhere else because we have experienced TLE! They opened in late October, and since then I have never felt there was a cleanliness issue. My son loves the activities, he has picked up signing VERY well, thanks to the diligence of the staff. The staff are very friendly, and I am more than happy to say that everyone cares for each child very well, almost as if they were family! Their outdoor play area has two different age-appropriate areas that are separated; one for older children, and another for younger children. This is something that most day cares didnt seem to have! I love that the ground isnt all cement, so it doesnt tear up the knees of a crawler, or their clothing. The children are all very friendly towards each other, and the teachers put a lot of effort into that! It is the sweetest thing to see the children play together. Somehow, I think he will be attending this day care for as long as he can, because we both are in love with TLE! UPDATE 3/2013: After a hiatus of staying home with mommy, my son had a hard time re-adapting to the schedule and the new kids in his class. His teachers and the front desk staff have handled this so flawlessly and sweetly. He is getting back into the swing of things, and they are adapting to his needs so well...the teacher plays Mickey Mouse music in the morning to help ease his "drop-off anxiety", and has helped him get used to the lunch and nap-time routine. It makes me so happy to have such attentive staff caring for my son when Im not and I couldnt ask for a better facility!

I toured this "school" about two weeks before it opened. As a parent in the Heathrow community I have at least five different options for childcare that are very nearby and I intend to ensure that I am utilizing the best option for my children. My first impression was that the owner Victoria Ortizs main purpose was to tell me about her son with special needs and her past as a child advocate. Sorry, your story doesnt make me inclined to think that you are some how more of a qualified childcare provider. She then rushed me on my tour as her husband was waiting for her at home. I came for information on your school, not your personal life. I was then introduced to the Director Kimberly and was a little surprised to recognize her as a mom to one of my daughters former classmates at another local heathrow childcare provider. The school was clean as it should be since it wasnt opened yet. The main purpose of my inquiriy was their supposed "LEAP curriculum". Kimberly was able to show me the nice cots, the somewhat asthetically pleasing classrooms and tell me about their air conditioner system, which I found irrelevant when I told her my main reason for inquiring. She wasnt able to tell me how often their ball pit was cleaned, but she seemed to think it was a major selling point. When I pressed further for more information on their curriculum she was dismissive of my questions and continued to invite me to their curriculum night. She didnt seem to know the curriculum of the school she was trying to sell. Overall I was very disappointed with my visit and the horrible customer service of the owner and the dismissive attitude of the director. They really ought to a adopt a more customer service minded plan. Families of the Heathrow community have MANY options, we are paying customers and should be treated as such. It reassured me that we had made the right choice for our family with our Primrose.

My son began attending TLE when he was two years old and he is now a 4 1/2yr old in the VPK program. Every room he has been in has been very engaging and interesting for a young child who is ready to explore and learn. The curriculum here is amazing. Even at two years old he was coming home singing new songs each week, doing sign language, and telling me all about the art projects he creates. Since the themes in the curriculum change each month the teachers are always coming up with new and exciting activities that match the themes and hold the childrens attention. Now that my son is in VPK he is learning even more incredible things to prepare him for kindergarten. He comes home everyday telling about a new science experiment they did in class or an exciting hands on activity that he was really excited about. He is sounding out simple words and beginning to recognize sight words. Each day I am amazed at all that he is learning. As a mom I love that he is learning through all hands on activities that he is really excited about. He wants to come home and replicate the things he does in class because he had so much fun doing it and he is excited to show me how they did it together. The staff here at the school is amazing. Most of the teachers that currently work here were there when he started 2 1/2 years ago. They all know his name as well as other students in the school and they great each student by name everyday. My son is excited to go to school each day and gets upset when we leave. He has often told me that he wants to be there when the school opens and stay all the way until they close. He feels special at this school. He can tell that the teachers care about him. I feel very thankful that I have found such an amazing place for my son to grow up in. I have no doubt that once he graduates from VPK he will fully prepared for elementary school.

We moved to the area in 2013 and looked at several schools in the Lake Mary and Heathrow area. Prior to moving here we were at a similar facility in the Sarasota market (NOT a TLE School). Although our 1st child did well there, it seemed like all they cared about was getting as much money out of us as they could. The interest of the children came 2nd to the owners vacation fund. My wife and I have commented several times how it is the exact opposite feeling at TLE Heathrow. This TLE blew us away with their curriculum, staff/student ratio, location, etc. The 2 directors Stephanie and Shellah are caring, compassionate and truly interact with the kids each day. They know everyones name and always make you feel welcome. When we started at TLE our girls were 3 years old and 6 months old. Both rooms they were in were fantastic and the teachers were kind. At TLE the teachers are so consistent and they have very little turnover. Now our oldest is in their aftercare program (since graduating from their VPK program and going to K) and our baby is almost 3. Our oldest daughter who completed VPK had a very successful Kindergarten year due to the knowledge and preparation she received at TLE. The owner is also there and involved in the day to day operations. Our kids adore everyone there and ask for their teachers on the weekends. In fact, they refuse to leave each day without giving the directors a hug goodbye. We cant say enough about the school and the staff. TLE is AWESOME!
