If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. This company is so disorganized and gets a F for Customer Service. Wanda the office manager is so rude to the parents and not accommodating to the childrens needs. The staff constantly did not let my sister make up her classes (even though their policy permits make-up classes), they would constantly make up excuses as to why she can not make up her class. For example, I signed my sister up for a make-up class yesterday and when I got there Wanda, the office manager, stalled for 20 minutes and then proceeded to tell me that I did not sign her up for a class and I needed to leave. The front desk girl behind her thought that it was funny and was laughing while the manager was telling me off. Keep in mind my sister is 12 years old and was crying quietly to herself because she was scared of the manager and sad that she wasnt able to make her class today and they had no consideration for that. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Then I asked about their cancellation policy and she starts waiving her cancellation letter in front of me trying to get me to cancel my contract which I could not believe. I have been a paying customer for over a year and Wanda did not even try to convince me to stay with them, didnt care if I stayed with them or left. As for the teachers, my sister has been switched out with a new teacher at least every other couple weeks. Its completely unorganized and I do not feel that my sister is learning as much as she should be (for what I am paying for). Also my sister is overweight and is diabetic and would sweat uncontrollably while being dehydrated and the teachers would refused to allow her to drink water. I understand not letting a 3 year get water because they may just be making excuses for not wanting to be at the gym, however, my sister is 12 and she looked like shes going to pass out, I think my sister is old enough to know when she really needs a drink. We signed her up for a gymnastics in Westchase and they seem really nice over there, so I am hopeful that it will work out. Overall, I am just very upset because I signed my sister up to have fun and get physical activity (since she is overweight) and they have made it miserable. I would avoid this company at ALL COSTS!

Buyer Beware: Shady business practices. Long story short: be aware that this business is not honorable and will hide behind their shady policies to steal money from you. Signed my kid up for gymnastics class, took her to 1st class, decided that it wasnt a good fit, and called the next day to cancel. Wed pre-paid for August (along with their registration fee) when we signed up, and they declined to issue a partial refund. Fine. When I told them that they werent to charge me any more, they informed me that they had a 30-day cancellation policy. In other words, they will charge you for the next month even after you cancel and aren’t going there any more. Paid for August? Okay. Stop using the service and not set foot in the place again? They’ll still charge you another month. I specifically told them that was revoking my authorization for them to charge my card, but the Business Manager responded that I’d have to come in and sign a paper that stated as much, and that we’d still be charged for the next month regardless. The next day, I drove over, and on the way, got an email of a receipt that they had already charged me for the next month. They knew I didn’t want to be charged again, I told them over the phone that they did not have authorization to charge my card, but they manually put through the charge anyway ahead of the regular payment schedule. When I got there, I told them that I wanted them to refund the September charge, and they refused multiple times. Understand that, as part of the registration process, I signed a paper that stated this policy, but the normal and right thing to do would be to not charge a customer when they tell you that they don’t want your service any more, especially if you are not going to use their service any more.

My daughter has been attending Gymstar and Trampoline Class since summer 2014 and she absolutely loves it. The place is exciting and my daughter can not wait for her class. Something that I love which have not found it anywhere else is the make up classes. My schedule can be hectic at times and every time the staff has been very accommodating with making up the classes. The front desk ladies Wanda and Angelica are two of the most patient and pleasant people I have met. I have witnessed several times parents being demanding and not kind when interacting with Wanda and Angelica however, the ladies are always patient and kind. They deserve trophies. Yes the place can be hectic at times but it deals with kids and it feels like home that is what makes it exciting to come back. Some of the reviews here are negative and it amazes me how many parents have this crazy high expectations from other people and places. The place is a gym where children are supposed to have fun and yes injuries can happen it comes with the territory. It is not wether you like it or not it is wether your child likes it or not. I am very pleased with the coaches and the staff. Great place.

Ive been breastfeeding over 2 years now. Until today Ive never had a bad experience. Today I was asked by the owner of Dance and Gymnastics Academy of Tampa to cover. I told her I didnt have one, she continued to tell me about how some customers might be offended and I continued to say it was my right. I asked her if she was asking me to leave she said no, so I asked why we were still having the conversation because I didnt have a cover regardless. I was told I should bring one next time. I wont be going back. I cant tell you how messed up this is. I left that place in tears, as a woman who gave birth less than 8 weeks ago, who has a toddler and is still dealing with a c section incision that doesnt want to heal. Im struggling emotionally, physically. I wanted to get out of the house and enjoy myself with my kids instead I was brought to tears by the owner of an establishment for something I have every right to do. I seriously felt shamed by her and I should never have to feel that way for feeding my baby. Im seriously disgusted right now.

To the mom who felt singled out for breast feeding, i was there and saw you and I was mortified! I breast fed both my girls in public and I never forgot a cover so that I didnt expose myself. I dont know you but i saw too much of you... you walked all over the gym floor nursing while young kids boys and girls were playing. There was no attempt at modesty and I am pleasantly surprised that someone in charge addressed you. You could have sat in the back or go to your vehicle instead of making a spectacle of yourself. These young people wear appropriate clothing in the gym and the owners have strict policy on clothing, you should be thanking them for protecting the eyes and minds of our young people! For the record i have witnessed other moms nurse thier babies over the years but never inappropriately! To the one who addressed the situation today thank you! Keep up the amazing job DGA team!
