I have a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville that had major transmission problems such as a 1-2 gear up-shift shutter, a hard hit in between gears, and slipping started when shifting. I took the car in for an estimate on what was wrong and what it would cost to fix. Bob informed me that the transmission needed to be rebuilt and it would cost anywhere from $1400-1900 to rebuild it. The difference in price was not knowing what was completely wrong until they took the transmission apart. The total cost was just over $1500 to rebuild the transmission. When I got the vehicle back everything appeared to be great other then it still had an up-shift shutter between 1-2 gears. I immediately called Bob and informed him of the issue. When I took it back I asked Bob to go for a ride with me so he could see what I was talking about. Bob confirmed there was an issue and guaranteed they would fix the problem. When they hooked the car up to the computer it was not giving any indication that there was a problem, they did adjustments and told me that the computer said everything was good to drive it and see if it’s fixed. Well unfortunately the issue was not fixed and the car had to go back, to sum up the story the car went back 3 times, which by the 3rd time Bob rented me a vehicle and took the transmission back out, found the issue and fixed it. There were no additional charges for me at all during this time. Bob and his Staff did a wonderful job fixing the vehicle and making sure I was taken care of. I would recommend Trico Transmissions to anyone I know looking for transmission service. Thank you Bob, Steve & Laura for a wonderful job well done and the Great Customer Service I received!!

I have a 2002 Acura 3.2 TL Type-S with over 280K miles on it. I took it in about 18 months ago to have the transmission repaired. I had a few challenges with it for about 9 months. Each time I had trouble with it, I would bring it in for a free diagnosis. Each time everything looked fine. I was finally able to figure out how to reproduce the issue and took Bob for a test drive. Bob immediately said this was not right, and he would make it right. He took the car back in and pulled the transmission again and found the issue (this was not a common issue). Bob made this right and updated the firmware for my transmission at no additional charge! I have now been driving the car since then for 90+ days with no issues. The transmission is the best it has been in years, and with the firmware upgrade, I get better performance from my transmission than I ever had! I wanted to wait until I had driven the car for some time to see if everything is good, and I want to state that I am VERY please with the service and support I got from Bob at Trico Transmissions. Every business encounters challenges from time to time, it is how that business chooses to handle those challenges when they occur. Bob and his team with Trico went above and beyond to make things right with me.

I was referred to Trico Transmission by CJs Automotive after having lots of problems with my newly acquired Bronco. They did a great job with the replacement of my transmission. Their diagnostic skills are some of the best in the business and it really shows their dedication to their craft. I truly feel that any other shop would have just thrown parts at it racking up a huge bill. With their hard work and dedication they were able to resolve my issue. From personal experience I know that it can be hard to find a great and honest mechanic, and at TriCo Transmission they are both. I have been going to Trico for over 20 years which is unheard of! I met these guys when I was 20 years old and now Im 48 and to this day I have never met more honest and intelligent mechanics in my life. They will identify what ever issue I have and then provide me with options. They clearly explain the exact problem and they stand by all their repairs. Out of more than 15 major repairs over the years, I can say they have always repaired my vehicles quickly and with great care and quality. If I have any questions regarding their repairs, they address them immediately. Thanks so much guys. Ive moved to Montana now and I really miss you. Please move to Montana?

They checked out my old Volvo and gave me a honest opinion (it was not work putting the money into it). Even after they did not make any money on me, the guys there still helped me with selling my broken down car and gave me advice on buying a new one... This shop really went above and beyond for me, even though they did not make money on me. It was great to see a shop that did not rip you off.... which has happened WAY to often to me. Thanks Trico..... I will let everyone I know how great you all are!!!! P.S. Bob the manager is a great guy!!!

Bob and his staff are excellent. I was told by 2 other shops in the area that my car needed 1200 to 2000 worth of repairs. A friend told me of Trico and I had my car towed there and 175 dollars later my car was on the road. In addition to that Bob gave me great money saving advice regarding my other car. They will not lead you wrong. I can not say enough good things about my experience at Trico Transmissions. I have looked for a good, honest dependable shop that does quality work on all car repairs and I have finally found with bob and his staff.

My transmission was refurbished and repaired in March 2013, and they have serviced it ever since. I bought the 3-year warranty on it after the repair, and they give a great discounted price every year when its time to service. Just finished my second service under the warranty, and it was very painless. These folks are about quality and not quantity, and are great to work with from a customers perspective. I highly recommend!

Trico did what they said they were going to do and did it within the budget they told me. I had taken my Jeep to several different mechanics to get the shifter issues taken care of and each one would fix it for a few months and then Id have the same issues. It has been over a year and the shifter has been great with no issues. Im would recomend these guys to anyone. They really know their stuff.

Steve, Laura & Bob are in danger of giving auto repair shops a GOOD name. They diagnosed my wifes 7 year old car in need of a transmission, and then referred me to a Nissan dealer who replaced it under a manufacturers extended warranty that Trico knew Nissan had, but I didnt. Trico didnt make any money from me, but they made a friend and an enthusiastic referral. Theyre the best!
