Bad customer service. My card doesnt work so the 2nd option is to look me up by my phone number which they did and that will pop up my picture and information. Ok, so that was no problem. Then I told them that Im taking 2 guest in as well and the response I got was like a "really? 2 guest?" Yes 2 guest cause thats what I paid for. So after verifying my 2 guests I asked politely if I can get a new card made since mine doesnt work. I was told to come back after and speak to another representative. I was kind of confused because I know they can make one at the front desk, but I gave benefit of the doubt and said ok Ill come back after my workout. Came back about an hour and a half later and asked the front desk since there was no one else around if I could get a new card. Once again, asked for my number and my ID( which I left in the car cause who brings their wallet to workout). Yes, I completely understand you need to verify me but when you asked for my phone number my picture comes up and I right? Is that not enough proof? Yes, I might of not wanted to walk to my car and back just to verify myself because I figured why would you need too when I gave you my name, phone number, and my picture is there?! So long story short still didnt get a new card. Very simple request that turned into a complicated one. Yes I could of gone to my car and grabbed my ID and problem solved but thats not the case. I can get that if my picture didnt pop up or I didnt give them any information about myself.

Me and my husband went to this gym few weeks ago and signed-up for month to month membership. After that, we were introduced to their personal training program where they sell you different packages which are actually 1, 2 or 3 year contracts with them. We explained that we cannot afford a contract and that we only want 4 sessions and we didnt want to sign the contract but we were told by the personal trainer George that he can adjust the contract and give us a total of 6 sessions and no other worries but its all a LIE because soon as you sign it you have 3 days to cancel in mailing by a letter or you are stuck with the contact. We trusted them and took their word for the package we asked for (6 sessions) and we got caught up in a 1 year contract with 48 sessions and the manager Linda didnt want to help at all nor did she care about what happened and George the trainer keeps avoiding us and doesnt want to talk to us. They dont have a corporate they only got a member service managers and they wont do anything about it. If you want to cancel you need to buyout the contract which is 50% of the balance so around $600.We were lied and deceived into signing a contract based upon verbal agreement of dont worry Ill adjust the contract to say 6 sessions and I would like to warn everyone about what they are doing at that place, they are sharks and people with no soul. Shame on them and this scam company that only cares about money and nothing else!!!

I prepaid for two months of membership at this branch of LA Fitness. The sales person did not disclose to me their child care hours, which are not the same as their operating hours. They are closed for 4 hours during the afternoon. Also a piece of weight equipment I use was broken during my entire first month of membership. I brought it to the staffs attention many times, but a replacement was never provided. I brought these issues to the sales staff. They were indifferent and promised follow-up which never came. I eventually spoke to the clubs operations director, Darin, who was also indifferent. He claimed that the weight equipment was on order, and didnt know when it would be available. I asked to cancel my membership, and he refused to refund me for the upcoming month of membership I had prepaid. I am having to file a dispute with my credit card company. I would avoid this place. Despite signs everywhere that the staff are helpful and there to serve the members, my experience was the complete opposite. I only encountered dummies who couldnt address simple issues, and acted like they were bothering you whenever you asked a question. No smiles. There are several other good options nearby, including YouFit, Punch Fitness, Anytime Fitness and the Bob Sierra YMCA.

I wrote a year or two ago that i hate this gym but I am modifying my statement. This is the gym I go to after CRUNCH told me I smelled like Curry spices. i got to this gym every morning and never had a problem. I am not saying ALL LA fitnesses are peaches and roses, I am just saying this one in particular is a good one. The vibes are pretty good...for a gym...dont get me wrong people are still in their pretend focusly enraged moods and all, but as a solo workouter, I have all the freedom to produce one dynamic and hard workout at this location. They keep this place clean, everyone is decently mannered for the most part and it is not intimidating. The women are goodlooking and the meathead type dudes are surprisngly bearable. You can work in with people by simply communicating to them you will just be a minute so even if it is packed you can still do your workout in a timely fashion. The staff is friendly and never once reprimanded me for literally jumping off the walls, so thank you staff for letting me be me. When a machien breaks, which is rare, they fix it right away. Wooooorth the money and then some. Get your a$$ off the couch and go get a nice body, nice health, and nice friends.

WORST STAFF EVER! RUDE! I was looking at the different fitness in Lutz area and LA Fitness was the first I went. I took a free three day pass to have the opportunity to try the gym. As soon as I subscribe for the pass on the website Sam called me to set an appointment and see how we can set this up, I had a good feeling meeting him and trying the gym! When I went there I met Sam and this guy disgusted me from LA Fitness FOR EVER! He wanted to push me to subscribe the same day without trying the gym or even visiting it! I told him I needed to try and I didnt want to subscribe without try or at least visiting. His answer: I thought you were more serious about subscribing here! Ten minutes later I was at Anytime fitness on Van Dyke and Gunn Hgw! And I subscribe the same day!

Horrible staff! Zero professionalism. You are better off at the YMCA or Crunch!! I got a temporary membership that came with a guest pass. When I got my guest, the sales representative made us wait for 20 minutes. When she was leaving she was cornered and pushed into getting a membership. When she said she wasnt ready to get one that day, the sales representative was rude and treated her poorly. I won the raffle for 4 free sessions of personal training. My first session was pushed twice by the trainer. The second time he took on another client and rescheduled me for the next day after I reminded him. I came back the next day at the scheduled time and he was busy with another client at the time of my appointment. If they dont care about their customers, they shouldnt offer these raffles.
