It is rather unfortunate that i chose this spa for a family girls reunion. Ive come here every year for the past 7 years and was disappointed. To separate the good from the bad--the massage therapist (Tina) was fantastic with the hands of gold; Ms. Rocia at the registration desk was courteous and professional and took care of an issue we faced; For the rest of the stuff....some of the amenities are closed off for "remodeling" --which happens to be during the spa month, and its not nice to go to the spa and not be able to use all of their facilities. The marble slabs that have the rain pouring hard on you--closed off; the mineral baths are closed off and not available; you only have one steam room (without any aroma and when we asked for eucalyptus they never got it), one inside pool (shared for men and women), one jacuzzi and rain shower; most spas offer much more than this and if they say you have access to all of the facilities, you should have all of the facilities in a working order; we went to the pool and beach area and were stopped by a pool entrance attendant who told us to go back in and get wristbands--not one spa attendant told us, especially when we told them were going to the pool, and this i have to say is incredibly poor customer service; The other spa personnel switched up the names and didnt understand what we explaiend 3 times, cut an old ladies treatment down to 20 min (it was a 50 min massage) , couldnt tell us who is the manager or their name....eventually Ms. Rocia handled it in a form of a partial refund but the lack of proper service and professionalism are clearly lacking in the full team. Overall, i have always chosen this spa for all my girly outings but i doubt ill be coming back; unless theres a full re-vamp of customer service and what it actually means, pls find yourself a new place;

Very disappointing spa. My background is in spa management and ownership and this was a big let down. Came for Miami spa month with a friend. Way too bright to relax. Not one person was walking around cleaning for the hours we were there. Left over trash in the relaxation rooms and left over dirty towels everywhere. You go and sit on a bench in this bright room at your appointment time with a bunch of women, then this lady comes out with a clipboard and yells your name ( you feel like your in line for the military). Then they pile you in an elevator and drop you off in another open room that you need sunglasses bc its so bright and now you are sitting in your robe in a room filled with men also. Some in robes and some in regular clothes. Bc its so damn bright everyone feels awkward and its not relaxing at all. Then your therapis not comes and calls your name and walks you through the halls of what looks like a hospital until you get to your room which looks even more like a hospital room. To top it off the rain showers, hot tub and co ed pool were not working. Whoever put this spa together or is running it should be ashamed of their establishment. I have built spas from the ground up and they should be a place of relaxation, cleanliness, ambiance, and promote a feeling of wellness. I felt like I was in a mental hospital the whole time. The spa at the Carillon hotel (the old Canyon Ranch) down the street is so much better just for a suggestion. I will never ever go back to Lapis Spa. Everybody in that spa said the same thing.

Regarding the facilities I would say it is beautiful and located in a hot spot. However the lack of customer service is definitely there (wow surprise NOT as when you get good service in Miami you are amazed)... I enjoyed their services, although not the best I have got (deep tissue massages) but being from out of town, 2nd time going back there, pregnant, looking forward to a fantastic relaxing time, I have to say that I was and still am EXTREMELLY disappointed that because of a conference that was going on at the hotel, it took me about 20 minutes to park my car (valet was super packed and slow), another 5 to 10 minutes to get to the SPA and sign in and with that being said, needless to say that I lost 30 minutes of my massage and they did not care at all talking excuses about their policy. As an experienced SPA guest, I know what being on time is and that they do not comp for the time you have missed, however this was by far not my fault and I think they should have considered giving me the full hour, especially because IT WAS NOT BUSY being a Monday afternoon... if it was on a weekend I could understand but I would never even book an appointment on a weekend as I know how busy and it is definitely not the same than a calming week day... NOT GOING BACK AT ALL. There is a lot of choices out there and I will never recommend this place again as I know many of other excellent places in the Miami area.

This spa was disappointing. I frequent spas often and was very excited to try the spa at the Fountainbleu before I checked out of the hotel. I was charged $50 to use their ammentities all day which was wonderful! The girls working the robe and slipper counter were very helpful and sweet. All of that was great but the rest of the spa was terrible. The spa is incredibly loud and the spa does not enforce any kind of spa etiquette. They have a "quiet" room which is in the middle of the pool deck with thin glass windows and was not quiet at all. Every 5 mins an employee would swing the door open and yell for people to come to their appointment. The hot tub was loud and dirty around the outside with plastic cups and used cucumbers sitting there all day. The pool was loud and co-ed. The rain shower was nice but overall this "spa" seemed more like a loud Russian bathhouse. Great if thats what youre prepared for but not great if youre looking forward to a relaxing spa atmosphere.

My husband and I had a couples massage here and it was one of the best weve had. He did the deep tissue and I did the Swedish. Only complaint was the room was semi oceanview with curtains opened. I prefer a darker room when getting massages. We used the inside spa pools for a little while and those were relaxing but couldve been warmer. We stayed at the pool the rest of the day as this is included if youre having a spa service. Very crowded...more a "resort" feel. Enjoyed the music. Pretty much could hear it wherever you sat. Wait staff is pretty busy which equals slow service. Most of the ones we encountered not the friendliest staff Ive seen. However we did actually go to the bar closest to the beach for lunch and that bartender was very pleasant! Overall a nice day visiting there but prefer the "lounge" type of hotels in MIA.

The actual spa itself is nice and somewhat clean... however for being at one of the nicest hotels on Miami Beach I definitely thought it was lacking in amenities. Besides the steam room there really wasnt anything that enjoyable to use. The spa was also ridiculously loud, including even the staff members. I found it impossible to relax. My sister and I even went into the "nap" room which is supposed to be silent and while one of the attendants was fixing a bed a manager came in and proceeded to have a conversation - the door says something like Silence is Golden. I would not spend the money to go back here.
