I had a high expectation of this hotel when I booked it online since its website the pictures are good looking and it locates on a separate island. Its not cheap at all, I paid $126.75 for a double room plus 13% tax (7% State, 6% Occupancy)and they charged me $24 / night Valet Parking Charge (mandatory),$12.68 resort fee,total $181.56 (one night only,thank god I didnt stay there long) I guess the hotel is old,the paint on wall no matter inside the room or washroom (which is the terrible part) is very old and dirty feeling. The reception only gave me one room card and never mentioned how to use the wifi,we need to go back to front desk to ASK for a 2nd room card and ask how to use wifi, which all these even at the 2-3 star hotel will already automatically provided to me. The (AC) fan inside the room is very loud even adjusted to the lowest... The womens steamroom was out of order. Doesnt worth the price I paid. So please dont go there unless you really want to go to grove isle. Doesnt worth the price I paid at all.

I was planning a surprise for my mother and made reservations for a massage followed by brunch. Upon arrival I was informed that I did not have a reservation. My credit card information was most certainly there in the computer but the employee that I spoke with never booked the reservation. I dont know where the manager was on this holiday, but we heard nothing during the two hour wait we had before we could be seated for brunch. While we ere eating, the manager (who could not be bothered to speak to us directly) sent a girl out to let us know they could "fit her in" after lunch. We declined since we had somewhere else to go and told the girl that he had all of our contact information and to please contact us. I have heard nothing from him. Also, dont bother with the brunch. For the same exact price, the Biltmore is one thousand times better in every respect.

The location was the best part about this hotel. The views were amazing and service was good. All the workers greeted us when we got to the hotel and when we left. However, I feel the hotel isnt in its best condition. The room my boyfriend and I had was a suite. The floor had scratches all over, the bidet in the bathroom had signs of rust, and you could tell the windows were not very clean. As for the restaurant in the hotel: again, the views were amazing, but the food was very bland and there was nothing special about it. The food also took quite a long time for it to arrive. The tables were set on platforms embedded in the small hills, making it extremely hard for women with heels to walk on. Overall, the views for the hotel are beautiful but thats pretty much all the hotel can pride themselves on.

DONT ever book any events here!!! Had everything booked, ready to go for my wedding in December when they decide to call me and tell me they decided to remodel the hotel in December. Completely unprofessional and lack of consideration ( i had given my deposit in JAN.) NEVER, NEVER ,NEVER book any events here! Go somewhere where they honor contracts and deposits. Dont wish this experience on anyone! Going to have to scramble for new venue now. very very unhappy bride!

Very nice place..my room was on the second floor by the fire pit. Very relaxing spot and gorgeous views,Nice big bed with comfy sheets and pillows, food was expensive as well as the drinks. Ambiance feel at the bar and dinner time, loved the pool area and mini beach area (on the other side of the island) We also got to meet Pitbull!! My daughter and I loved this place!!

I have been staying in this hotel for a week in November 2009 and got beaten by some bed bugs in the hotel room. They have moved me to another room for the last day, as they were overbooked for the days before. Not very happy, but last room on the ground floor was amazing. View and food is really good here as well.

Cant express in words how beautiful this place is..the view, 24 hour access to heated pool, steam room, locker room, hot tub with a roaring fountain, friendly staff, awesome food, spacious rooms with antique furniture, over sized balconies...everything is simply perfect here. Our home away from home!

The staff is amazing.. Since I called I got a great price and a free upgrade. For the ambience I was expecting close to $300 a night. Instead I got my room for 190 after taxes. They have made my home away from home very enjoyable and that is just the first night.

Treat employees like slaves......I know , I slaved for a year there under an evil managing partners rule.Lived and worked on site , hours off - girlfriend couldnt visit me for the hours I would be off ........

Had our bachelorette party here and it was so much fun. The room was amazing! The staff was great. Beautiful view from our room with huge patio. Not to expensive. Great for a romantic getaway.

Fantastic resort for tennis, though pricey as far as food and especially room service! But the phenomenal staff make up for any shortcomings the resort may suffer!
