I cant rate it less than 2 stars because they do have a nice salon, the stylists were nice and they did TRY to fix my hair. Thats where my positives end though. I paid $200 for my hair (which is only shoulder length), more than I ever have before, and I am just not happy with it, especially for the price. I should also say that other than some very grown out highlights at my ends my hair was completely virgin hair. I asked for ashy sombre (and I am a stylist so I know what Im talking about) and got a yellow, brassy and badly blended color. As in yellow and spotty where the bleach was not properly smoothed over the hair. I wanted little highlights to come up higher towards my face but she brought almost all of it up so I dont have the outgrown look and she bleached almost every piece so there is no more dimension left. Their lighting does make the hair look better because only after I got home and looked at it from all angles I knew it was way too warm. I went back in and they definitely made it better, but still not what I wanted. It is now more blended but the ends are blue/grey and my roots are still too warm. Next to each other it tends to give off a green color. Ive never asked to have my hair re-done, ever in my entire life so this was a different experience for me. Im glad they didnt charge me when I went back in, because I am still crying about the final color of my hair and the price I paid. I literally had to save up to go here and it was such a disappointment. I wouldnt recommend this salon for hair color and I probably wont go back.

I initially went in to get my brows tinted, so that over this thanksgiving, I would be doing less and would still feel good knowing that my eyebrows looked good. My app was like the last time, until, she began to WAX one side of by eyebrow....I was horrified and wasnt sure what to do...I allowed her to finish, before saying anything, because I was NOT going to have mismatched eyebrows. They looked okay, but I was really upset because I had been growing them out for awhile and now all of that gone....the girl when I asked her about it was under the impression that I was there for a wax...Im not really sure where communication was lost...but at this time, I was holding myself together, trying not to get too upset about it. She went ahead and tinted them, but they look absolutely horrible...one side is completely different from the other and there is dye where my eyebrow isnt even there....needless to say, the whole no working thing I was going for this thanksgiving is out the window. Im incredibly surprised because Aveda is a much nicer institution than most. If youre looking to make an app for hair, I say go for it! They are awesome....but when it comes to tinting ect...it may be best to look elsewhere...I guess just make sure your app isnt misunderstood.

Aveda puts out a good PR campaign about the purity of their products but I have had 2 problems and neither the company nor the salon would do anything about it. [1] I spent close to $500 at Aveda but had a problem with one eyeshadow - it was dried out from day one. They would not replace but instead, insisted I buy new brushes. I later found out this is a known problem - a reputable company would have exchanged it. [2] I had a perm and my hair is litterly falling out and breaking off close to the scalp. They gave me a free rinse and sold me PRODUCT which felt like vaseline - I insisted I get my money back considering this perm cost $100 but there was no call back from the Aveda company when I told them my hair was falling out. WARNING TO THE PUBLIC - dont be fooled by their expensive ads. So for me, it is good by Aveda. I plan to use products from the health food stores and find a company that stands behind what they do to the public. At least a return phone call.

I was badly in need of a massage and knowing Aveda always has high quality service I booked an appointment. Shelby has been wonderful. They always greet you with tea and then consult with you. While discussing what your needs are for your treatment you are given a foot massage. I have had two 90 minute sessions and every minute was exactly what I wanted and needed. This salon is so soothing and relaxing. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and take the time to listen to and address your requests. I have also had a wonderful hair cut for my curly hair. I will be back shortly for another massage and facial I know you will be happy with your experience here.

Despite the fact that I am located near another Aveda salon, I am more than willing to drive 45 minutes to get my hair done at Pure Aveda. My hair always comes out just how I want it and my stylist (I use Kasey or Danielle, depending on who I can get an appointment with) always teaches me new tricks to better style my hair at home. And you cant beat the atmosphere and the hospitality. The only reason I wouldnt recommend it? Pure Aveda is getting way too popular and therefore it can be a little difficult to get an appointment- but that is only further proof that this salon is the best Central Florida has to offer. I wont get my hair done anywhere else.

Pure Aveda is an excellent salon with a friendly, client-focused, highly skilled and responsive staff. I have been going there for 5 years and all employees are true professionals focused on responding to your needs at the time. Especially talented is Erin, who is highly skilled at massage whether you are in need of a totally relaxing experience or a deep tissue massage due to more serious physical issues. She is exceptional! In terms of hair styling, cut, and color, Mica is very skilled & always knows exactly what (different) approach will bring my crazy hair under control once again!

I can not sing the praises of Mount Doras Aveda highly enough. I have been going ever since I moved here seven years ago and it is always a lovely total experience. I consider the staff my friends and look forward to seeing them every month. I love their bio friendly products. They work and provide a natural aromatherapy as well. I consider my stylist Bailey a friend and she has done wonders for my hair. I am an older customer and she breathed life back into my tired locks. The cut and color are perfect and the hand and arm massages are just icing on the cake !!!

I searched for 3 years for a great salon in Central Florida and checked out Pure Aveda upon a friends referral. I met with Mika and she understood exactly what I wanted and gave me an amazing cut and color! She also was up front with me regarding costs and offered different ideas for the look that I wanted. I just recently got a balyage done and my hair is the best its ever been! I get compliments all the time! On top of that, you get a scalp and arm massage during your appointment, which is pure bliss for this busy mama!!
