Dentist by far the worst day care that I have ever had my child in when I first brought my daughter here I thought that it was a great day care I thought that awesome curriculam but they were all friendly and cheerful loved the teachers and my daughter was in the one year older and at that time everything cost extra money if youre a day late its $5 a day after that first sheets for the cards its $10 for each one my daughter was in the one year old room for two weeks and they made me buy a $10 caught sheet because they have to be socially headed to the car and then 2 weeks later I had to buy another one they made me buy $10 t-shirt thinking that they were mandatory that every kid wears Im on Friday my daughter was the only one with one in her classroom and it was 10 size is too big they refused to give you the money back for the future when I first had my daughter in there I had assistance from the state the early learning coalition well even with the assisted the daycare still had me paying $60 a week plus any other extra things that were happening as far as Pizza on Fridays is $3 extra on Thanksgiving they had a Thanksgiving feast and I paid $5 for my daughter to eat and $6 for me to eat and they had Boston Market cater they never ended up feeding any of the parents and it was me and numerous other parents there that didnt get to eat and we pay the money and never got our food our children barely got a plate of food so I ended up paying $11 for nothing her diapers disappear I feel like theyre putting them on other children and not paying attention just like the first day my daughter ever went to school there they gave her some other childs binky I put her name on her binky and put it in a ziplock bag with her name on it when I came to pick up my daughter that night they handed me a binky that was not my child nor did it have her name on it they acted as if it was a simple mistake wish they had been given that binky to my child all day I cant even imagine how many other mistakes they have made and parents dont know or catch on her lunch box comes home with all of her snacks and food still in it the only thing they feed her are things that are convenient for them to feed nothing that they have to work to do her applesauces are always telling her lunch box and she loves apple sauce Kariokor is always in her lunch box and she loves yogurt when I pack her a lunch of soup or spaghetti or pasta its always still in her lunch box all of it is still there but when I pack her a peanut butter and jelly its gone so anything that they have to help feed her and that is not self feed they dont feed her

The academics at this school are outstanding. My child learned to read sight words, write letters and numbers, and sound many words out in the 1 year at VPK. The school has you pay a fee every month for the free VPK (07/08 was $25/month). The registration package stated this fee was for Jitter Bug Gym, Pizza on Fridays and other recreational activities. This rec. fee is a huge waste of money. You can buy a lot of pizza for a preschooler at 25.00 a month and Jitter Bug Gym means the kids dont get to go outside and play (which my son hated!). There were no "other" recreational activites. It sounded like field trips and McDonald days were going to happen but they didnt. I felt like the administration didnt hold up their end of the bargain on this part. Also, I was told there would be no other fees during the school year but then, at the end of the year, they asked us to buy tickets to the preschool graduation @5.00 per ticket. AND you had to buy one for the VPK student. They tried to sell a "package" for $55.00 which included the year book. I thought this was a little silly. My older son went to VPK in Pinellas and we didnt pay for his graduation. So. the teachers and the academics were wonderful but the administration left a little to be desired. They needed to be more upfront about the fees and what they were really going to. VPK at this school is NOT free.

We love this school. The academics are excellent. They learn sight words, the alphabet, how to spell their names, all shapes, etc. I have to disagree with the second review here. There is a $25 recreation fee, and yes it does cover weekly pizza and Jitterbug Gym to come in. However Jitterbug is more of an organized exercise session than just going out on the playground. They have always been VERY upfront about any fees, and we did not have to pay for the graduation. They did send a flyer that asked for a donation of a set amount to cover the cost of cap and gown, and rental of the facility where the graduation was being held, however ALL of the kids were allowed to participate in the graduation regardless of if the parents paid or not. You have to remember that even in regular public school you have to pay for certain things like your graduation cap and gown, yearbook, etc. The VPK money from the state only covers the core educational parts. There are also other VERY important points to consider. First is the fact that while the place is kept very clean, it doesnt smell like an institution the way that many day care facilities do. Also, they are very tight security wise. Everyone has their own access code, so you cannot even enter the office without your code.

My son Hayden attended school here and I absolutely loved it. The teachers are super friendly and the owners and staff are wonderful. They were open to answering any questions I had and kept me in the loop. My son learned so much while he was there and was so happy like he never wanted to leave. I always felt safe leaving him there since there are security codes on all the doors and cameras in every class. Sadly with gas prices being so high I could not afford the travel there and back everyday I wish they would consider opening a school near Holiday there is nothing decent in this area. But as I was saying I high recommend Little Sunshine Preschool I have absolutely no complaints.

We are very happy here. Over the years we have been to a few different day care centers, large and small. There will always be quirks and ways I would do it differently, but that will always be the case when someone else watches my children. Everyone is always happy and my children love it here. The teachers know all of the kids, even the ones that arent in their class. The only thing I would change is the lack of a kitchen/prepared food. This wasnt a surprise, but I would prefer all meals were provided. Edit: The center is under new ownership and now participates in the USDA Food Program. Lunch and snacks are now included in the cost of tuition.
