It was great with the older teachers but as soon as they left there has been a lot of miscommunication issues with both staff and with both Diane & Collen themselves. My daughter was harrassed by a young teacher , getting yelled at ( to where I can hear down the hall through a closed door) to get off of a counter which she was clearly struggling to touch her toes to the foot stool ( my daughter doesnt speak well so she was grunting & making noises) this teacher had enough time to walk over and help her given the time it took me to walk down the hall & swing open the door but she chose to scream at her instead in frustration you can see on her face. Teacher had NO remorse. Did not apologize and when asked where my daughters shoes were she anwser with a snippy " I dont know " throwing toys looking extremely frustrated in the atmosphere. At this point extremely upset, When brought to Diane and Colleens attention I got rebuttaled with excuses on how my daughter "behaves" or she is "too much" and should be in a smaller classroom. INSTEAD of getting down to the bottom of to WHY staff was screaming at an older 2 year old (my daughter) & that right there raised even more questions to WHY none of these behavioural issues were brought to my attention before the incident ?? So I could do my part as her parent , so neither party would be put in this situation. As well as my one year old , Ive gotten 1 report that she has gotten bit. & In response to me just trying to figure out if the other parents were notified when she gotten bit , so I know it was handled and feel safe bringing my daughter back I got told by Colleen " well your daughter bit someone last week , it happens in a one year old class" ok I understand that , but why , ME AS HER PARENT was NOT notified when MY child bit another & then rebuttaled when I was just trying to see if other parents were notified in the incident of their child biting mine. so again, I can do my part as a parent and teach her right from wrong ?!? As well as promote her safety. Needless to say I was not bring my child back and the school felt the same after I dropped the "F" bomb infront of a new parent The communication sucks. The was situations like these are handled are disgusting & I wouldnt bring my children back to a sneaky unsafe environment like that. Just raises a lot of red flags !

Quite possibly the worst place ever. I wish I could give it zero stars. Tons of turnover in the 1 year old and 2 year old room (we had 6-7 teachers leave in a 12+ month period). Director always has a sour look on her face and the children run the room. If you are comfortable having your child in a room of total chaos, by all means sign up. Weve been gone for a number of months so to be fair, things may have changed but the entire time we were in the 2 year old room there was one toilet for the kids, which was adult size. Imagine 2 teachers trying to contain 17 kids in a room while trying to potty train on an adult toilet without a potty seat. At any given moment there is at least one child trying to potty train, which means that left one teacher to handle between 12-16 toddlers on her own. Each time we asked when the toddler toilet was going to be installed we were told "soon". Admittedly, it may be installed by now but ask yourself "what kind of daycare has an adult toilet in a two year old room- and then makes months long excuses to install a proper toilet"? Anyone with a wrench and ambition can switch out a toilet in an hour, it shouldnt take months. Dont even get me started on lunch time, Im not joking when "Lord of the Flies" is the best way to describe how lunch time was run: kids stealing food from others, running around the room, stealing food from the refrigerator, kids putting their shoes on their plate. Even if you dont heed my warning and pay these people to watch your child(ren), do yourself a favor and stop by unannounced from time to time to check in on them.

This school is wonderful. I found it by accident when my son was 3. It was the only daycare he ever went to that he didnt cry every day when I dropped him off. He cried the 1st day then never again. I knew something was different about them. He stayed until time for kindergarten. Then when my youngest was ready for daycare I knew without a doubt that Bay Vista Learning Center was the only place I would take her. She is now graduating VPK and I will miss them dearly, as will she. She loves Miss Jodi. They truly care about the kids, you can tell. Ms. Diane just loves them too, she is wonderful. Some of the teachers that were there 6 years ago when my son was there are still there. Thats almost unheard of for a preschool/daycare. That tells you something. I highly recommend them to anyone that really wants a loving, nurturing, family environment for their children while they have to be away from them. They were truly a blessing to me and my family and I will never forget them.

I wish I found this place sooner. My youngest son went here for two years, and I cannot think of any place better. Great atmosphere! The teachers and owner have become like family to us. They knew exactly what my son needed, and did an excellent job of teaching. He is now in Kindergarten, the only one in his class that was reading even before the kindergarten school year started, and is being tested for gifted. I wish the school went past PreK, my son really misses it as do my husband and I. There are great events during the school year, like the Hoe Down, Mothers Day, etc. You do not want to miss going during the summer. It was the best summer camp ever. There are so many activities, I wish I could have gone to a place like this when I was a child.

As a board certified pulmonary physician I find myself responsible to report to the public that, although the presence of birds indoor in a daycare is legal in Florida, it is an environmental hazard. Birds are naturally harmful to human when they are indoor . The exposure cause lung inflammation that can lead to lung fibrosis , respiratory failure and death. This is what is called Bird fanciers disease. This disease in not related to how vaccinated or healthy the birds are and there is no known prevention except by eliminating the exposure. I hope my message will be heard by the people in charge and that they will act in the best interest of your kids.

I absolutely love this school, my children attended from the time they were one til they graduated VPK. The classrooms were always beautifully decorated and made the children feel like they were special, the school puts on amazing summer activities. The teachers were kind and compassionate, the director was knowledgeable and willing to listen to my concerns about my children. The owner worked well with us on payments when we have a rough patch. I would recommend this school to anyone who asked. Its too bad I cant give more then five stars.
