I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 and took it to Sullivan GMC and was told I needed a complete new transmission which would cost $4500 including installation. I went to AAMCO and was told I needed a rebuild that would cost between $1600 and $2600. Heres the not so good things about going to AAMCO. I brought my truck in on a Thursday after noon. I was told that they would have mine on the road the following Monday morning and they would take the transmission out and call me by 5:00 on Friday and let me know the extent of the rebuild. I was told that the very worst transmission hes seen was $2600 to fix and that would be where everything was trashed and would try and keep it to $1600. Friday came and went with no call.Icalled there Monday morning and when I asked why I didnt get a call Friday, I was told they were busy. When I said that I was told the truck was promised Monday morning, he said, " I said that?". He said they were going to take the transmission out and call me as soon as its out and let me know the cost. I was called a few hours later and told it would cost $2700. So, the story of keeping it to$1600 went right out the window. I said to go ahead and fix it and was told it would be done the following day. Now the good things. It was done by 4:00 on Tuesday. When I went in to pick it up, the manager went over every detail on what was done. He explained in detail and even showed me heavy duty parts on the internet of what was put in. I was given an 18 month/ 18,000 mile warranty. Now it starts off smoother and shifts better than it did when it was new. As long as a job is done right, I dont mind spending the money for it and that was the case here. I recommend AAMCO.

I had Aamco in Ocala, Florida rebuild my transmission back in September 2015. We have a 2004 Honda Odyssey. This past Saturday, we were heading out of town for a family trip when the transmission began having trouble changing gears. The engine light came on and the "D" began flashing. We called the Ocala Aamco, and drove it there (about 30 minutes from our home). After arriving, we found out that they were closed technically and had no technicians there. He did test the transmission and determined that the second and third gear solenoid was bad. He said we shouldnt drive the vehicle and asked if we wanted a rental car. I said yes. He said driving the car would damage it and would require a rebuild. The Aamco store was closed and wouldnt be open again until Monday. I was already on my way out of town on a family trip and was already delayed. I assumed that the rental car would be covered, as the transmission is under a 24-month, 24,000 mile warranty. Im now being told that the rental car is not covered. The transmission failed and is under warranty. The Aamco store was closed. I was 30 minutes (about 20 miles) from home. I expect Aamco to provide alternate transportation since the transmission failed under warranty.

These guys have been amazing! My husband has been working a lot, so these poor guys were stuck talking to the WIFE!!! They treated me with respect. They were very polite and patient. Since we came here for a second opinions, it would have been easy for them to agree with the previous mechanic who said we needed a FUEL PUMP, but instead, they check EVERYTHING, spent a good amount of time diagnosing it and found it to be a simple little sensor. They saved me so much money. I am so happy that I FINALLY have something incredibly valuable... A MECHANIC I CAN TRUST! They always kept me updated, always advised me of the cost ahead of time, completed their work in a timely manner and even called to check on my car the next day. I will refer all of my family and friends here and will be bringing my business to them from now on! Thanks Guys!

From the initial phone call all the way up past picking up my truck and 10 days later Aamco took care of me. They were very professional and extremely customer focused. Dropped my truck off on a Tuesday, had a service estimate early Wednesday morning. Gave the go ahead late Wednesday and picked up my completely rebuilt transmission along with a new blower motor for the ac Friday afternoon running better than ever. Ask for Josh and you will be completely satisfied with your experience at this Aamco! I would 100% recommend this business to friends & family.

When my transmission failed in my 1997 Dodge Ram, I started calling around for quotes. Josh at Aamco in Ocala not only quoted me the fairest price, but also offered to have my truck towed to Aamco for free. The tow service picked up my truck Wednesday evening and my truck was fixed and ready Friday morning. Excellent service, excellent price, clean and neat facility. My old truck drives like a dream. Aamco fixed my transmission and gave me a quote. Unfortunately I didnt have enough to pay them for rebuilding my transmission so the guy put us on a loan. Come to find out from the company they do the loan from said its not a loan. Its called a lease and there is a buyout option. What the heck. I didnt know anything about this so called lease and what all it contains. Employees need to make sure they say LEASE and not LOAN. Now Im going to be paying out more than what it really was to begin with.

I purchased a used Nissan Xterra from a gainesville mechanic and instantly regretted it. Two weeks later the transmission was gone. My mechanic did nothing to help me so I called Josh at AAMCO. He was incredibly helpful and had my car towed all the way to his shop in Ocala for free. He helped me with financing the repair and when I had questions after I picked up the car his mechanic rode with me to make sure I was 100% satisfied. I highly recommend Josh and his mechanics for your next repair.

Awesome! Nothing short of it. Had my Honda transmission fail me completely on a road trip from Miami to atl. I called josh at aamco and thats all I ever had to do. He came and got my car, stored it, got me set up with a rental to go home, and fixed my transm for a fair price in record time. Was able to drive my car within days of the incident. Very professional and goes beyond the call of duty to get my car fixed. Awesome work!! Awesome team!

My 2003 Acura TLs transmission failed on a trip to Tampa. Being a traveler, I called and visited a few other mechanics nearby. Upon calling Aamco and reaching Josh, I became hopeful. We came to an agreement shortly after meeting. Two days later, the transmission was rebuilt and reinstalled for a fair price.
