Jan 2016 My return trip back with Melany. She is a gem. Got my hair cut short again -trying to get rid of all the color so that I can go natural. Soon I will be salt and pepper. Looking forward to it. Love working with Melany - she is a gem. She looked at my hair and after her recommendation, we decided on a great haircut. Will be back in 6 weeks - hopefully to cut off the last strands of color. Recommend Whole Aveda!!! Nov 2015 I have returned once again to Whole Aveda and love everyone there. They all are in such good spirits. This time I went in to have my hair cut short from shoulder length hair. I have decided to stop coloring my hair/covering my grey. My hair grows so fast that 2 weeks after I color it, grey hair is already peeking out so I will stop my frustration. So I went and saw Melanie today and she did a fabulous job. She was actually smiling while cutting me hair because she was having as much fun as I was with the new me! She absolutely loves cutting hair and it showed. She did a fabulous job and made me feel like I made the right choice. I came in with a picture and asked her if she thought my wavy/curly hair would do well with the cut. She looked at the picture intently and said my hair will look great with this cut. She also told me I could style it several different ways -blown out straight or let it dry naturally. Highly recommend Whole Aveda, there staff but also Melanie for cutting hair!! Sep 2015 I have returned again to Whole Aveda and Amy was outstanding. I love Aveda products but also having a stylist like Amy makes you feel good and look good. The hand and head massage is always great. This time I ran in to have my roots updated and walked out wet. I love this ability with Aveda so that I dont have to be there for many hours if I dont have the time. Amy made sure I had wonderful products on my hair to let it dry naturally and beautiful May 2015 New to Florida and the first thing I did was find an Aveda Salon. I am very glad that I found Whole Aveda. First, Zac Bohannon was a joy to work with. He asked many questions and even though I brought in the formula that I was using at another salon out of state, he made some suggestions on "tweaking it". My hair, of course, looks fab. Then I met Kalina Stoeva who did my manicure and pedicure. She is a joy to work with as she has so much knowledge and asks you many questions also. When she saw an issue with my heels, she immediately gave me some options to help with the dryness over time. She was very informative. Overall both of them are top specialist and will work with you so that you are very happy with the outcome. I have already scheduled my return appointment!

Initially, I did not like how my hair had been colored. I had asked for an ombre style and brought at least 5 pictures to show the type of fade that I wanted. I did not get the ombre effect, rather just a light stripe on the underside of my hair that can be seen when my hair is tied up. I dont mind it anymore but I was not pleased when I got home and saw it. I think the lighting in the salon is too dark to properly see the color. What really upset me about my experience at Whole Aveda was the cost. It was over $100 more than I thought it would be and for a color I hadnt wanted! When I reviewed the website after the fact, it says that the stylist would discuss the final cost before beginning the procedures but that never happened. I trusted the prices I saw on the website when I booked the appointment but perhaps they are for the least experienced stylists. I tried to conceal my shock as I handed over my credit card. Next time I will try the Aveda Institute. I believe my stylists name was Candice or Candy. Also, the stylists push product, which I dislike.

I have been going to Whole Aveda Salon Spa for a little over a year. Once I met Candace, I knew I would be coming back. She is a talented stylist that not only makes my hair look and feel beautiful, but she makes me feel beautiful. She offers the perfect products and tells me how to use them so that I get the same results at home. My male employees have noticed the difference and have paid me compliments, time after time. I had my first massage there with Kalina. She is absolutely amazing! There arent enough accolades to tell you how good I felt after the massage. I had been going through a really rough time after the deaths of two of my closest friends. The first time I felt peace was during my massage. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. They never make me feel like a bother, even when I have questions about my Pure Privilege account. If you are looking for a full service salon that greets you with relaxation and serenity from the moment you walk in, this is the place for you!

So, I just moved to the Tampa area about 2 months ago, and I have not gotten my hair done in quite some time prior to moving. I have been wanting to get my hair cut and styled for a few weeks now, but I was nervous to find a new stylist. After reading some reviews, I found this salon, and decided to give it a shot. I called at around 7pm, and got an appointment for 8pm the same night with Gabby. She cut my hair so amazing that I just had to come on here and write a review!!!! My hair feels better, looks better, and makes me feel even better about myself! I asked all kinds of questions about different products, and she was more than happy to explain how everything works and what would be ideal for my hair. I would completely recommend anyone who is looking for somewhere new to go here, and give it a try. You will not leave disappointed! I am beyond satisfied, and Gabby is my new stylist in the area! I will definitely be going back when it is time to get a fresh cut. :D

Went to the Whole Avedas new location in Largo. The salon spa is still in the process of undergoing renovations. The technicians were hospitable as you would expect from Aveda. Offered us tea, water and/or coffee. The Aveda hair stylist had a difficult time cutting thick curly hair with precision. Yes, thick curly hair can be a challenge and that is one of the reasons we chose to go to Aveda. The hair stylist was a high level grade with 8 plus years of professional experience, and as such the cost for this higher level of experience was $45 for the hair cut alone. It was disappointing to see later that upon looking at the hair closely that there were long lengths of uncut hair that were hidden with in the curls. It also looked like the left side of the hair was shorter than the right side. Aveda has such a good reputation, it is unfortunate, when you expect a quality hair cut that you leave rather disappointed.
