This rating is based on a haircut for medium/long length natural hair. The people are very nice and if you go for locs or braids, then they do a very nice looking job (not sure about the process). But, theres always a but, here are the reasons for my grading (I had time to sleep on it before I submitted my review): 1. This place is in the ghetto, so if you dont mind risking your life to go there, then so be it. 2. This is the main reason for my grading, if you have long natural hair (lose not in locs) then be ware. I was the last appointment of the day and I guess the owner was in a hurry to close because after they completely tangled up my hair in the shampoo process, they proceeded to yank on it to detangle it (my head hurt the whole way home). I spend a lot of time being kind to my hair so it doesnt break in the detangle process and that was the complete opposite. Its a business so time is money right? Well that was the mentality with which my hair was done. I woke up this morning to do my hair and the pieces of broken hair were still coming off. This is how people end up with short or misshapen natural hair. 3. For the price of the haircut I could go buy a very nice pair of scissors and do it myself with the curly girl method or with braids.

I wish I experienced these awesome reviews posted. I went for locks wash and style. Very unhappy with style and work performed. Maybe because I was from out of town and not a part of the clique is the reason. The person I had was not good. If you do not live in FL and not part of "who they know" do not go. Neighborhood is truly out of the way.

From the 1st day I walked into the shop I felt a positive energy. Everyone was welcoming and polite. I had my consultation, and told the shop owner that I want to be able to come there and relax and trust her with caring for my hair. I never know what style I want and I trust her to do whatever to it. She has yet to fail my expectations!

I just LOVE this hair salon. I started my Locs there ( next month will be 6 years ) and I havent been to any other salon yet.The owner and all the staff are professional and just all around good hard working people. Even though it may not be " in the suburbs " I have always felt safe there.
