If youre thinking about going here, please read this for a complete review! Lets start with the outdated facilities. I got a facial done first. This is in a tiny room with absolutely no air circulation. The facial wasnt bad, just very basic. It was supposed to be 45 minutes in my package, but it was only 30 minutes. Nothing special, just average. Then, I was supposed to do my massage next, but the girl wasnt there yet. So she started my pedicure. The "pedicure area" is a wooden booth for 2 people to sit on, its got a vibrating seat cushion (not massage chair) and you put your feet in a metal sink in front of you. Worst pedicure facilities Ive ever seen (although the girl that did it was nice). About 5 minutes into my pedicure, the massage girl shows up and is completely rude. She come in and abruptly interrupts asking how long its gonna be because I was supposed to do the massage next. As someone who gets massages regularly, this is NOT the way I want to start a calming relationship with a massage therapist. After my pedicure, I went to to do the massage. The girl acts as if its my fault that her schedule is off now and talks to me as if its a burden on her. Then, she streams the music through her phone and her text notifications must have gone off at least 10-15 times. Then at the end, she just stops and loudly says "ok, thats all the time"! No calm, soothing talking, like anywhere else Ive ever been. However, I will say the actual massage was awesome! Next was my manicure. Again, very small area, very outdated. Nothing great, nothing bad. The same person did my mani, pedi, and facial. She was super nice, but still nothing extraordinary about the services. The only good thing about this place is the package price. But beware of what they tell you when you buy your package certificate and when you book it. Everyone gives conflicting info on what is or isnt included. Then, they add a service fee of $12 to the package. The gift certificate states that this is gratuity, but when youre there for your service, they tell you that thats to pay the service professionals. $12 for 3 people to split? I assumed thats what the $50 is for, to pay for the services. But they tell you thats the marketing and advertising fees for the promotions. Seems like someone needs some business management training or the owner is just keeping too much for herself rather than paying employees that are actually doing the work. This could be why they have quick employee turnover (from what I gathered). I gotta say that its comforting to see other people commenting on the owners rudeness, so I know its not just me! I was in there once to buy the certificate and again to get my services done. Both times she was completely rude and bossy to the employees in front of the customers. As someone whos been in the service industry before, this is something I can not tolerate and would never give her another penny! All in all, if youre absolutely broke and want to have a spa day, then this is perfect! But you get what you pay for. You can get those same services for similar prices (check Groupon), and get way better facilities and service! Plus, I seriously could not support this small business owner for a single second. I NEVER leave reviews on stuff (good or bad), but people need to know what theyre getting into at this place.

I researched very carefully before booking Hair Connoisseurs for a special event. However, I was disappointed. Their presentation on their website was very nice, but neither the services nor the staff lived up to my expectations. I came in with a friend for a package deal that included a facial, massage, manicure OR acrylics, hair treatment, and lunch. The facial was the best part of my experience; the esthetician was very knowledgeable and she gave me some pointers about keeping my skin looking great. No major fault could be found with my massage, however the massage table was rock hard and the face cushion was placed at an awkward upward angle. I chose to get acrylic nails and I was told I couldnt, because they didnt have a nail drill. I opted for a french manicure instead, which was done messily is even now peeling off (4 days later). My friend opted for a gel top coat, which was said to supposedly keep nails for a month. The gel was peeling off as she ran her hands through her hair the next day. The hair treatment consisted of slathering my hair with conditioner and rinsing it 45 minutes later, but is STILL (again, 4 days later) weighing my hair down and giving it a horrible greasy feeling. Try as I may, I still cant get the conditioner out. The lunch (A tortilla filled with chicken, a cup of grapes, and a cup of black beans) was decent, but in NO WAY worth the advertised 49.50 value. I was also kept around waiting a lot. Our visit, consisting of a 30 minute facial, 50 minute massage, nails, and conditioning treatment spanned almost 6 hours. The staff was very friendly, but overall didnt seem knowledgeable or experienced enough to perform the services they performed. This visit culminated in (I assume) the owner running out into the parking lot after my friend and I to ensure that we tipped. In summation: Poorly staffed, not recommended. Wouldnt refer a friend. **I was also somewhat surprised reading the pettiness and unprofessional attitude displayed in the "Owner Response" section of the reviews. If you are the owner, remember that it would suit you better to conduct yourself in a manner that no only reflects yourself, but the image you are trying to portray of your business.

I recently used Hair Connoisseurs services for my wedding at the end of June. They were recommended by wedding venue which happened to be 20 steps away from. I felt there were pros and cons to the service I received. During my trial the owner was very enthusiastic, at times overwhelmingly enthusiastic ,maybe I might say a little pushy. I was given prices for the services during that time and then 2 weeks until my wedding found out that a surcharge was added because my wedding was on a Sunday. A day they are normally closed. She told my mother I was informed of this at the trial appointment, but I am 1000000% sure I was not. The day of the wedding I felt they did a great job. They were there early with beverages prepared for everyone. My original makeup artist had a medical emergency, but the woman who did my makeup did a wonderful job. My hair and makeup turned out exactly how I envisioned myself for my wedding. My other family members who came with me looked gorgeous. My younger sister looked amazing!!! but was really frustrated with the makeup artist who did her makeup. She told her she didnt like a lot of makeup and the woman took forever with her and put on a lot more makeup then my sister was really comfortable wearing. I was done with my hair and makeup before she was even done with my sister and I was the bride! My sister also said she felt like she was being judge because she didnt like to wear makeup. She said when the artist would ask her questions she would make a little.. "hmm" sounds almost disapproval even. Besides that everything went amazing and they even gave us little touch up kits that I was extremely thankful for. The woman who did my mother and mother-in-laws hair was really talented and helped them pick out beautiful hairstyles that really complemented them. Overall I was happy with the service I received. I just want to say that I wish the surcharge was discussed at the initial trial meeting and maybe to put a little less pressure when offering other services.
