Honestly, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Two years ago, I bought an AC unit from them, brand new pipes, everything. My condo is old, and I wanted everything replaced so my AC would have a long life. That whole experience on its own was terrible. The technicians didnt know what they were doing, constantly messed up, to the point where they came in the morning, and couldnt even finish by the end of the day, because they couldnt sauder things correctly and it sprung a huge leak that wouldnt hold any refrigerant when they pumped it in the system. The next day, they rescheduled to come back. I didnt see them again for a week (of course, because I had already paid for a job that wasnt done). Finally, they fixed everything they needed to. The AC managed to cool, but I believe they chose an incorrect one for my condo size, as its the loudest AC I have ever heard (none of my neighbors have one even close to this loud). The technicians were also extremely condescending and sexist the whole time they were doing this work, so by the time they were done, I hoped I would never have to see them again. Of course, their shoddy work came back to bite me. A few days ago, my AC gradually began to stop being able to cool my condo. I called two different companies to get a diagnostic, both found it was a leak where the pipes connect to the actual unit and both told me, unprompted, that this was due to it not being installed correctly. Thats when I called Frank Gay again, in the afternoon. They say whoever it is that deals with AC is no longer in the office, and they take down my name and number and promise someone will call me again in the morning. Its 1:30pm the next day, no one has called. I call again. This time they tell me that the person who deals with the AC has stepped out, take down my name and number again, promise shell call me right back. Two hours pass. I call a THIRD time, finally get ahold of Melissa, who is in charge of the AC department, who says they took down my information wrong (twice? Thats convenient, but for once I got a pleasant response so I didnt press it). She told me that my warranty doesnt include any leaks and they would have to charge me $85 for a diagnostic fee for one of their technicians to tell me what I already know. I let her know that its unacceptable, that this was due to their negligence and improper installation, and that its not the first time that their improper installation lead to a leak. She tells me that this is above her pay grade and promises to pass on my information to her superior, who never called me. This is the rudest, most unprofessional, incompetent company I have ever dealt with, and I cannot express how much you shouldnt go to them with your AC needs. I cant speak to their plumbing department, but as far as air conditioning goes, I would steer very clear.

Disappointing - management (Kevin) became rude when I requested a written quote to replace my a/c unit and refused to provide it. Consequently, I went with another company who was willing to provide a written quote and was $1,5k more than the verbal quote I received from Frank Gay. If a company is unwilling to provide a written quote for something that is going to cost you thousands of dollars, you have to wonder if they can be trused. I contacted Frank Gay services because my a/c unit was not working. At the time of my call I requested a written quote to replace my unit and was told one would be given to me by the technicians onsite. I received prompt and friendly service. (which is why I gave them 2 stars rather than 1) Once the guys serviced my unit they sat with me and gave me a verbal quote and when I asked for it in writing, they took my email address and said the office would send it. I contacted the office and the next morning spoke with someone. She told me that the techs should have been able to give me one onsite, but that she would get one out to me. A few hours later I received a call from the manager, Kevin who questioned me about what happened and why I wanted it in writing. I told him that I needed to replace my unit, Id received 2 other quotes, one was free through Costco and the other was through my prior repair man who was unable to do the install. He gave me a verbal quote and when I asked for it in writing, he told me that he did not want to provide written quotes for people to shop his rates around. I expressed to him that as a business person myself, I understood, but that was not my intentions. After which he asked for me email address and told me hed get the info to me that evening (which from his tone seemed like he was blowing me off). I asked him if he was really going to send the quote, because I needed to replace my a/c and did not have time to wait if he wasnt going to follow through. He said to me, "Have a nice day Ms. Sweeney" and hung up. This is unfortunate. The service from the technicians was good and I was set to have them perform the replacement. So they lost my business and the referrals that I would have gladly sent their way.

My toilets began to back up so I placed a call to a number of septic companies in the Ocoee area. All were about the same price $275 for a pump out, so I decided on Frank Gay Services because they could come out first thing the next morning. The tech/pump truck driver came out the next day and completed the job. Four days later the toilets were backing up again. The same tech came out and decided that the septic lift pump was out and blamed it on sanitary napkins causing the pump to burn out. He changed the pump for $400. Just two days later the toilets backed up again - a different tech was sent and he stated that the pump was out so he charged $135 for the visit - wait, Frank Gay installed the pump. After disputing the charge they changed the pump (2nd pump) and returned the $135. A few days later the toilets again backed up and now the new diagnosis is that the drain field is saturated and the pump is running constantly causing it to burn out. So a new drain field it is - $5300. Wait, the tech who had been to my home three times now realizes that the drain field is a mound system - the price now is $6500. The work was started - what a mess they made. They spread "contaminated" gravel from old field everywhere and removed two loads of gravel and brought in two loads of sand. When done, I questioned why I was being charged for four loads of sand when I only got two - managers answer was that he had to take two loads out and bring in two loads. Wait, to remove the old field dont you need to account for removal of dirt? I complained and the final charge was adjusted to $6200. I feel that Frank Gay Services duped me into replacing the field without thoroughly diagnosing the problem. The pump replaced by them originally does not look like it was new. Maybe that was the whole issue. Did I get a new pump or? I strongly feel that I cannot recommend this company due to their business practices.
