I found Lorraine Cortez back in 2005 on a whim due in part to a home dye job gone wrong. I was platinum blonde at the time and had a friend’s retired “hair dresser” uncle touch up my roots however, him not knowing that my hair pulls red due to my natural auburn color, I ended up with cooper/brassy orange roots. I walked into the salon that Lorraine was working at the time and she advised that she was a color corrective specialist and she was able to get my hair back to a normal beautiful color! Long story short from that day on I have been going to Lorraine. I even moved to New York for five years and upon my return I immediately looked her up and she remains my one and only hair dresser. She is a color mixologist guru and does very diligent work! Aside from being able to give you color that doesn’t look like it’s from a drug store box she also is very skilled with the scissors! She is a master at her craft and I highly recommend her! As for the Hair Studio all the staff is very courteous and accommodating. The salon is very comfortable and always a nice relaxing atmosphere! I love the automatic chairs that maneuver you to a full lying down position while you get your hair washed! Ive recommended this salon to all my friends and family!

BEWARE!!!! I sent emails with pictures of exactly what hair color I wanted. I went and the color was nowhere near the color I sent them. I wanted gray/silver with a tiny hint of blue and instead I got bright blue with hints of green and yellow. I can no longer get the color I originally wanted because my hair is so blue that nothing can be done now. They offered to "fix" it but clearly stated that they could not fix it to what I originally wanted... so why would I go back to them??? The owner Zobes true character came out when I politely requested a refund and she proceeded to get EXTREMELY nasty and screamed at me saying, "If you have something to say, you need to come say it to my face!! I dont have time for your nonsense to be on the phone." But let me say this... when I was a prospective client she treated me very kindly with compliments left and right. Once they screwed up my hair and I was an unhappy client, she mistreated me severely... these are the moments that show a business owners true colors. The worst customer service Ive ever dealt with.

I had my hair done by JonJuan, I would recommend this salon to all of my friends and family. He stayed way past the time of closing to finish my hair,he wasnt in a rush and made me feel very comfortable. Also,I brought my 3 month old daughter,and the staff was so friendly. Excellent.I will be going here as long as its open.
