Hands-down the best gym Ive ever been to. From the best customer service (literally every single employee is on top of their game and the nicest human beings!) , to the most diverse selection of equipment, its just way ahead of any other gym. After reading some of these reviews I have to laugh to myself especially when somebody brings up their daycare being wishy-washy as well as the overall employees "not wanting to be there". Thats literally what makes them stand out! LOL so unfortunately youll have a couple people with these reviews that try to do a railroad job instead of giving the truth because of them having a pissy day. We belong to this gym first and foremost because of the incredible daycare center! Our three-year-old son Jackson who is nonverbal and autistic, looks forward to going there every single day! Its his favorite place. The staff at the childcare is not your typical teenagers looking to make five bucks an hour. These are teachers actual real life teachers that have to have specific certifications in order to be employed at this daycare at Apex! No weather Jim could even come close to those requirements! Weve been to You Fit, planet fitness, the old Golds Gym and Altamonte, and 2 different LA fitness as members over the years, and I guess are you there childcare doesnt even come close to Apex. Some of Jacksons actual teachers from Star Child Academy (one of the most premier learning centers and schools in all of Orlando) are employed on the staff for childcare at Apex. So I find it again incredibly laughable if someone says one negative word about the childcare at this gym. Same goes for the overall staff attitude. Theyre not just kids that are hired to do a summer job and could care less. These young adults work incredibly hard, and the cleanliness of the gym is on a whole different level too btw. Its the only gym of its kind that doesnt just have a disgusting ratty looking towel with a spray bottle for you to wipe more dirt on the machine after you use it LOL like every other gym, and instead it has antibacterial wet wipes located at various stations throughout the gym ensuring every machine is immaculately clean of any germs when wiped. These are actual anti-bacterial wet wipe stations. Ive never seen anything like it. So please when reading some negative comments on here take it with a grain of salt because the man that was complaining about the daycare, the cleanliness, and the overall staff, unfortunately felt the need to go out of his way and lie and ruining this beautiful Jims score on Google. Look at the end of the day dont take my word for it, again I have no reason to say anything nice about any Jim, Im a former professional wrestler that can get free membership to any gym he wants to go to. But stop in and test the gym out yourself and youll see what Im talking about.

I really enjoy going to this gym. I have used several facilities in the area over the years, and this is the best by far. The location is great, I like that its inside a mall. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. I was not pressured into a membership when I asked for a tour. They let the gym sell itself, and it does. The equipment is new, clean, and available. Squat racks galore! if a machine is broken, it usually has at least one if not more backups to take its place while being repaired. I also opted for their bionetics plan. provides a real view of the condition of your body (muscle mass, body fat, etc etc) and the trainers working there create a plan based on this information, with re-scans so you can see your progress. My personal trainer, Achim Johnson, has helped me transform myself in the two months we have worked together so far, faster than I have ever seen in myself over the years of going to gyms. He is a constant motivator, he sees my strengths and weaknesses and adjusts constantly our workout plan towards more improvement. He has been able to answer every question I have had with his extensive knowledge of the science of the body, of muscles. He is always available to answer questions and always keeps in contact and is always on top of my personal growth and development in the gym. I am so glad to have him as my trainer.

I have worked in every gym in Central florida for the past 15 years. I joined Athletic Apex for classes, The first week all classes have changed. I called to question this morning and spoke with Conner. I told him I wanted to quit and he said "ok". I asked him about the classes that change and he said, we can only offer classes according to the teachers schedules. He broke the first TWO rules of a great gym. As former coordinator of the YMCA I would never allow such a uniformed, employee to answer the phone. Does Conner understand that memberships pay his salary? His job is to increase membership, defend the gym and promote membership. Every Time I have entered your gum I see 3 to 5 employees at the front desk doing basically nothing. You do not have trainers to show new members how to use equipment. You do not have group exercise class information on print. You have extremely poor management of this gym. I would like to speak with someone in management who has a desire to make this gym take off with a success. I DO NOT want a job, I DO want to explain the poor relationship your employees have with members. This gym is destined to fail if you remain on this track.

Yes, Yes, Yes, it is finally opened and expectations were exceeded by all measures. In fact, they are still being exceeded. The openness of Randall and Jeff not only to listen to the members on their suggestions but to change and or fix the issues without hesitation. The quality of the equipment, the staff, and the thought that went into this facility has made it the best in the area by far. Not only what they are providing for members in terms of equipment, machines, etc.. but the quality of care and insight for the individuals that want personal training. The equipment and technology that helps each individual with their specific goals with weight loss, and/or strength training are incredible. The Functional Fitness area is an amazing area, and will even better once all the equipment is in and the outside area with the turf is complete. This is going to add something that no other gym has in the area and the ability for any member to use the area with the equipment is going to add incredible value to this facility. If you are looking for a place to workout that isnt like any other gym or fitness center in the area you need to try Athletic Apex out.

First off, the gym took forever to open doors and when it did it was still incomplete. Some of the equipment has not arrived yet, every time I was going to use one of the cable exercise machines it takes me like 10 mins of walking around trying to find precise handle that I need. Theres like one of each type and thats just not enough for the volume of members. Now, the mens Sauna needs some work... is not even remotely close to how hot it should be. there are open vents leading up to attic that you can see through. Theres no a temp gauge to monitor the saunas temperature and the enclosure is which that sauna is enclosed its falling apart since day one, even with sharp staples sticking out (safety concern). Now lets talk about the billing, for over a month I asked Jeff through emails to sent me statements about all the charges paid, he reached once to say that he would, but he never again replied to any of my emails. By the way, there are no printers in house so they cant print one neither. Its unbelievable that they dont have printers in the entire gym. Other than that gym is okay.
