We did a lot of research before choosing Packrat - who was referred by a friend whos a professional organizer and has used them many times with great satiffaction. Like most people we care about the contents -- and Packrats container was by far the best compared to competition - price was all inclusive, tax, 12 moving blankets, and an awesome unbreakable padlock -- (no add-on costs like other companies who charge extra for blankets and locks) No moisture, no light to penetrate like other container companies ... and price competitive...They answer the phone when you call ... even at night ;) This is a company whose product and service are both excellent and highly recommend.

I did a lot of research on 800-Pack-Rat and PODS. They both had good and bad reviews. Pack Rats pricing was better and I got to communicate with Jim Blair (Tampa, Fl). I felt comfortable with him as well as the price so I chose Pack-Rat. They were very easy to communicate with, performed flawlessly and everyone including the drivers were great. Cant speak for other locations but Tampa is awesome and a lot less than PODS. The people who were moving out of the place we moved into got a POD. When they saw our Pack Rat, they said wow, thats a lot nicer than the POD we got.

From beginning to end 1-800-PACK-RAT was awesome to work with! Everyone I dealt with was upbeat and friendly and sincerely seemed to want to make sure I was comfortable and confident in the moving process. I recommend them to my family and friends. I have dealt with one other "moving and storage company" and the experience was ok... but they didnt seem to care as much as 1-800-PACK-RAT. The prices together with the kindness of the staff is a deal you cant find anywhere else!

This has been one of the worst experiences ive ever had. They have poor communication. Sales people will say one thing and the customer service will have a different story. They are also unable to track my container..???!?!?!! They only know when it arrives at the new destination warehouse. You would think with the amount of technology we have available these guys would invest for better business. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Requested a quote for a 16 ft container, Fl to Ga. About 560 miles. Quoted $1175. Didnt seem too bad. Asked what it would be if I added an 8 ft, same time, same address. New quote $2800. So I sent an email asking why so much more. Response from supervisor was an error in calculating discount. What discount. And now that 16 ft would cost $1400 instead of $1175. No thank you

Call PackRat first - forget about PODS! Customer service, price, expectations - all exceeded my expectations. Definitely a do over and one to recommend.
