This ymca is like the mob what a rip off. Sorry kids and adults You will Never get to use basketball gym. basketballs real small real old bad shape to play ball with. you have to bring your own ball to play. sorry kids and members no swimming no staff on duty. The place can use some fixing all around, look at light fixtures dead roaches, cut wires coming out off walls so kids can play with it, pads on gym wall missing so a kid or member can slip while playing basketball an run head into the wall. You can find maintenance man always in back room siting down all day, I wish I can get paid to sit all day amazing job maybe he works for free i dont know whats going on there? . Super misleading basketball gym the one only key feature they sold my family and friends kids. The basketball gym never open to play basketball for members because some activities take up the entire gym two whole courts 4 hoops, so you telling me that my kids have to play basketball outside where they can get hurt or in trouble or meet bad people . The weight room smell like urine the air smell dirty at times. water fountain bye maintenance office is so hot maybe need to be fixed. I swear nobody is never ever cleaning the equipment its always dirty, see for your self just wipe anything down and look at the mrsa bacteria growing on papper towel super dirty real nasty. nobody is never around to help you with moving equipment. floors dirty and dusty at times.dont lay down on pads to do yoga or abs you just my pay to lay down in peoples sweaty germs, yoga pads reminds me of a petri dish of bacteria growing on it maybe mrsa wiped it down see for yourself test it and keep antibiotics on hand. Ive been going here for 5y the last 1y really sucks with the new changes and NEW STAFF and new director,Assistant director, and district director all sucks dont see it getting better. So Im cancelling my membership just like everybody else. Some old staff and members still there told me this new staff that work behind closed doors in there office acting like they care about you or your family they just care about making cuts to save an make money to keep there jobs... I wonder how much in percentage of non profit goes to the ymca. Because it sounds like we paying to put money in your pockets. members are numbers so they can get to keep doors open and it will stay open no matter what happens. Super over priced for b.s. i can get better service from three other gym for 10$dollars. I want to stay in shape with my friends family and you will never get to do that here at bob sierra. I also get a racist feeling from some staff and some members not all just some, and thats just okay because my eyes are open now. There is other gyms that will love to take care of my friends and family with respect and love, not fake like you guys at bob sierra smiling into my face with your fake Ness for a way high price to get sick and also get to use dirty mersa equipment. I dont understand this gym is for fun fitness and to meet nice people not to get sick and stress out. Peace out fishy ladys at ymca Bob Sierra I have had enough.................

Been a member for 7 years. The yoga is my main interest, with the pool being second. The group exercise manager is not putting much into the yoga program and the teacher quality has dropped significantly due to attrition (or just plain being run off). $50 month is a lot when I can get memberships at 3 different gyms for $10/mo. Youd think we could get some quality yoga for that price. Plus, the yoga "demographic" is usually the paying membership demographic, too. Classes are 0-dark-thirty in the a.m. or pushing up against closing time. Hard to stay popular when they make it so darn difficult to attend. The other issue is the pool issue. The Bob Sierra Y is now using a weather alert system that tracks lightning strikes from many many miles away. In the summer, when theres always a rain shower somewhere, this means there is little time to swim. Even if its clear, you arrive only to find theyve shut the pool down and wont re-open because theyve let the staff go home. The the Youth & Family Center pool seems to have been built for Gaither High swim team. There is very little time or lane access available for paying Y members to use the facility, and if there isnt a weather alert. Its probably a funding thing. They probably got money from government sources to build the pool for the school, and oh yeah if its convenient, the Y membership can use it. Its a bit of a bait and switch with that pool. I dont believe its really for us, but it makes for great marketing. Ive written many "suggestions" and lately, to the Y leadership. So far, no one is paying any attention. I suggest you join all 3 other gyms and save yourself $20/month. Some non-profits think youll endure poor service levels "for the sake of charity." I dont agree. And though I have an MBA in Marketing and have worked as a marketing consultant for 25 years, they seem to know best.

We are members for another YMCA and wow was I DISAPPOINTED coming to this location. No one knows what they are doing. The place is a disaster with construction everywhere. Workout equipment in the halls, everything in disarray.... a real utter LET DOWN. Kid zone was a joke and the worker didnt even know what age was in what area and seemed totally confused by the simple question. Front desk ladies were pretty clueless and only one really was able to help me - she needs a raise because the others were terrible and served no purpose to help minus swiping a card to get in. I highly recommend not joining based on this location - try another because they dont all suck. This one should close, revamp and a quicker rate and then accept clients. The only reason this place even got a star at all is because the Youth building impressed. Its a short drive but the gymnastics were really awesome, the staff at both entries were knowledgable and personable - overall it offered great schedules, variety and lots of learning going on! The splash area and water slide looked really ideal and kid friendly.

Fairly standard facility, nothing to write home about. They were performing a lot of construction during our time being members. So the facility was not 100% operational, but we looked pass this because of the convenient location. The major problem came when we moved to a different city, and tried to cancel the membership. I spoke with a Dalia Rodriguez who was very rude, and not understanding of our situation. They kept charging our credit card for months even after we cancelled. They were unapologetic and matter of fact when I brought up the fact I was being charged for a service I could not use. Bad service, rude people! High recommend to look elsewhere.
