We had an issue where our electric range stopped working (pop, crackle-sizzle, smoke). I thought the range had fried its insides. When the new one was delivered they pulled out the old one and there was a junction box right next to the 3 prong outlet. Both boxes were charred, I opened the junction box and it was completely burnt up inside. I opted for Small Jobs Electric because they would quote the job without charging, they and the other company we were considering both had good reviews and could come out the same day. So it may have been a slow day. I am not sure if they typically have a trip charge, one of the other reviews indicates they did have one. I think most electricians do have a trip charge, and theyll waive it if they do the work quoted. Ryan was the electrician that performed our service. He was very professional and he kept me in the loop on what he was doing and why. He also tightened up some loose connections in the breaker box. Im not an electrician, but I took a guess at what needed to be done. He did essentially what I was expecting and didnt try pushing unnecessary work. He did upgrade to a 4 wire from the 3 wire system we had previously. My research indicates this is a good thing, and that the 3 wire system may have actually caused the range to fail after the short . The range was still getting electricity, the display was still functional, but the stove top and oven didnt work. As far as price I really have no reference for electricians, but I didnt expect it to be cheap. It wasnt, but it was in the range I would expect for a professional job with the materials and time involved. This was our first experience using an electrician, but weve had plumbers come out and refuse to do the work requested unless they replaced everything including the kitchen sink when all I asked them to do was clear a drain! Of course I sent them packing and moved on to the next plumber. Im glad we selected Small Jobs Electric and got the choice of electricians right on the first try!

I was really apprehensive to call an electrician because of the reputation of high costs. So searching the yellow pages the name caught me. I was in a dilimma with a microwave replacement that indicated the problem with not a microwave but electric problem. Thinking it was the box the microwave (above the stove) plugged into, Adam was not going to quit until he found the problem. He was all over the place looking for the problem. He finally found the problem which was a total shock but not only did it fixed the problem but he fixed a fire hazard that could have resulted in a disaster if he did not find it. We are totally grateful for the diligence that he put forth in finding our problem. He also gave us recommendations that would also prevent other issues. So we will be inquiring the cost of some more work from this company. Adam is totally honest, personable and discusses everything he is doing to show us what we need to take care of. His visit into our home made us feel safer since we not only had 1 concern but 3 others. This company is highly recommended. And we felt the amount that we were charged was reasonable for the amount of work that he did. And the workmanship was just more than words can say. We feel it was a totally professional job well done!!! If I could add more stars to this review it would be a 10. We will be using them again and recommend them to everyone of our family and friends. Thank you Adam for what you did for us today!!! You are a great human being and electrician. BTW, I now have a working doorbell now that you gave me advice for that. One more thing, if there were more companies that were like this, America would be a better place!!!! Thank you So Much Small Jobs and Adam. signed Claudia C-Saltz

Thank you Louis at Small Jobs Electrical. From the moment I contacted your company I had full confidence in your professionalism. Louis who replaced my old Zinsco electrical panel was a very kind and experienced electrician who made me feel instantly at ease that I had selected the right company to do the job. I had limited time to get the job done and Louis ensured this the job was completed the same day at a reasonable cost. As the job was complex Louis worked very late into the evening until the job was completed. Another electrician arrived later in the evening to assist with the testing and labelling of my new panel and what impressed me most was their respect and appreciation of the company owner who they both said was a great guy to work for who mostly worked along side of them day or night to ensure jobs were finished in time and done right. My job was inspected yesterday by the City of Clearwater who said the work was completed to a very high standard. Thank you Louis. I selected Small Jobs because of your kindness and professionalism. You are a great asset to this great Company. I will be contacting Small Jobs electrical for any electrical needs I have in the future and will recommend you to anyone I know looking for electrical services in Florida.

I called this company because we had an outage with the ceiling lights on 5/4/17 after heavy rains the day before. The girl who answered said that it would be $49 to send a electrician and find out what is wrong with it. She did not even mention about any other diagnostic test and prices. The tech who said he was an apprentice came in alone without a licensed supervisor and flipped the wall switches of the lights a few times. And, he told me he needed to run an diagnostic test which was $389 even before fixing our problems. It took just around 5 minutes before he gave me a $49 of the bill and left. He did not even carefully look around to see if there was any visible problems. So, we hired another licensed electrician who was referred by my neighbors. He did not even charge for trip until he found and fixed the problems. He took enough time to look around, just found a short circuit of a wall receptacle and replaced with a new one. It took him 20 minutes to address the problems. He charged me only $40. He did not even charge for trip as he promised. I really had a bad experience with the Small Jobs Electric.

We have been extremely satisfied customers of Small Jobs Electric (SJE) for several years. SJE electricians are very professional, knowledgeable and actually listen to the customer and then evaluate the problem or request and provide a solution in laymans terms. SJE installed a 50 amp receptacle for a large motor home, which was a major undertaking, requiring more than one day to complete. The cost was very reasonable and we have utilized this receptacle for at least three years with no problems. Nathaniel Houle, who is the son of the owner of SJE, is a master electrician and his knowledge and problem solving ability is immediately apparent upon meeting him. No matter how big or small the job, SJE shows up on time, diagnoses the issue and expertly completes the job. They also value their customers and provide electrical assistance after normal working hours and weekends. Small Jobs Electric is a top notch company with excellent leadership and employees.
