I have been going to Tribeca in Ybor for almost 5 years now and have not gone anywhere else nor felt the need to. I am very picky with my hair and dont let just anyone touch it. The service is always immaculate and their employees are all highly skilled and have A LOT of training and experience under their belts. The owner, Brandon, works with his employees directly during their initial training. Austin has been my go to person since my first visit in 2013. He is always extremely professional, friendly, and is a great listener. Austin makes you feel important and gives you his undivided attention during your visit. Too many times Ive experienced a salon where the employees dont listen to what you want and you walk away unhappy - Ive never had that experience at Tribeca. Because Ive been going for years, Austin now knows what I want before I even tell him but he still always asks just to make sure. I have never walked away feeling less than thrilled with my haircut and experience. He always finishes my cut with a beautiful blowout and I have a TON of long, thick hair so this is very time consuming and can be exhausting. A wash, cut, and blowout is all included in the price I pay. They dont do "upsells" on services which makes it a low pressure, comfortable experience. In the times where I am in a pinch and need my haircut and Austin isnt available, I have gotten my haircut by other employees and have had the same wonderful experience. (Shout out to Sarai!) They have an easy online appointment scheduler which is great for booking in advance if you know you have an event that you want your hair done for. They offer complimentary beverages (including wine!) which just makes the experience even better.

I LOVE Allison!! She is such a great stylist. I just moved to the Tampa Bay area (North St. Pete) and was looking for someone to help me take my medium length practically white blonde hair to a fun wavy strawberry blonde bob. The haircut was perfect! She was so detailed with different techniques to get the layers and angles just right for volume and a light-weight bottom. Then we did a mix of two toners first to see how the hair color would look since Id never done anything but blonde before and she was nervous to do permanent color if I may not be ready for it. It looked fantastic! Unfortunately, it washed out in my first wash because my hair was so damaged from the lightening I had previously done. I called the salon and they said they guarantee anything for 2 weeks, so I went back in and we did a deep conditioning, which she had actually recommended last time, and then a different mix of demi-permanent toner and color. The re-color was of course free! My hair still wasnt wanting to cooperate and didnt turn the new color quite right (even though it does look pretty and better than the platinum I was tired of), so I’m going back in in a week for additional low lights to add more color. They also are getting some new product in that’s a colored shampoo so I can try to maintain the strawberry at home. This salon really works together too. Allie (sp?) would get input from others and they would problem solve together talking me through it, asking and listening to me as they went. Everyone is SOOO NICE, very positive, and very professional. Such a great experience for being new here and not knowing where to go. A++ in my book!

I went in and asked them to do ombre. After three hours, my hair turned out to be two colors: dark roots and orange. I had to leave to go to class, but expressed that I wasnt happy with my hair. I paid the $200, and the next day called the salon to ask them to refund half of my money, as my hair did not turn out as I had asked. They refused, and said I could come in and they would redo it for free. I was too scared to go back and spend more time (and more tip money) to likely be disappointed again. I said I would go elsewhere, and the receptionist said, "OK, thats your choice." Ten minutes later, they called me back to say they would "not only redo it for free, but give me 25% off a future service." Why would I want a discount on a future service when I have no intention of returning because I dont want orange hair? I declined, and expressed again that Id like half of my money back. I was told, "It is a service. We wont refund any money because your hair isnt a product; we only have so much control over how the hair turns out. Your stylist is great so we dont know what the problem is." So much for the customer always being right. After washing my hair the next day, my old highlights from 4 months ago actually started to show again! So I wasted $200, and went to another salon that actually understood the concept of ombre. The hairstylist at the other salon said, "Your hair is orange. We will fix it." And she did. Dont go to Tribeca if you want anything more than a trim, because a complex process like ombre is too difficult for them to achieve, and you will waste money and be refused a refund.

This was my first time here and I have to say I was very disappointed. I had Bianca cut and color my hair. I was going from a dark from to blonde so I know its always difficult to get an accurate blonde based on all of my previous colors. What I was upset with was the poor customer service. The color came out the first time very dark after using the toner as if it wasnt colored blonde at all. She needed to use a Malibu to lift the toner but she had another client waiting. She pushed me onto another free stylist to do the Malibu so she could take care of her other client. After the Malibu my color was flvery brassy and had an orange hue to it so she had to do the toner again. But she had another client waiting so she pushed me onto yet another free stylist to do the toner, dry, and style my hair. My issue is not with the color (even though it is not the color I was hoping for). My issue is with the lack of service. I was a brand new client and instead of ensuring that I was happy she took other clients and had someone else take care of me. The owner came to talk to me and basically made an excuse for her saying she was behind schedule. Well of course she was I was there for 4 hours. But I feel as if fixing my hair especially as a new client shouldve been her top priority. Needless to say i was disappointed with my experience and I will not be back there. I do want to say that Emory dried and styled my hair so wonderfully!

I have been a long standing client of Tribecas. My stylist was out on maternity leave and I was informed that my "recipe" would be left with another stylist. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was assigned to another stylist of which no notes were left and I got the worst color possible. I called up and complained and they asked me to come in to get it fixed. I knew that it wasnt going to end well because they stylist just didnt get it. They promised to deep condition my hair as well. When I got there, the stylist was as rude as possible. The receptionist in the front had to go back and plead with her to tell her to be nice. Anyways, it didnt come out well again. First time my hair was orange, second time my hair was brown. All I wanted was "blonde highlights"! I did not get a deep condition as promised and she left me to go home with my hair soaking wet! I called asked for the owner and got nothing but a bunch of excuses: Hes with a client, hes at the store, he will call me right back... I was finally able to speak with the store manager. He also offered me the 25% discount for the next visit which wasnt going to happen after the way I was treated. I wanted my $200 back and they said I would never get that back and I was no longer welcome. Sorry, this is not acceptable Buyer beware!
