This review is unfortunately about a month overdue. Nothing about my move went as planned and I didnt get internet for almost a month... I had a really good experience with this Uhaul location. Judith handled the initial transaction and was patient and helpful. This was my first moving experience where I was wholly responsible for all things move related. I rented a 17 foot truck and a tow dolly. On the second day when I picked up the tow dolly Clark Cepeda (apologies if anything was misspelled there) and Tod (general manager) really went above and beyond helping me with the tow dolly. Once again, Id never done this before. Id certainly never had to tow my car like this before either. It should have been straightforward anyway right? What could be so complicated about driving your car up onto a tow dolly and hooking it up safely? Well there were instructions printed on a label attached to the side of the tow dolly. I read them and read them again. A few steps were straightforward and uncomplicated. Other steps, once I realized what really had to be done, were entirely lacking in detail. Once everything had been hooked up I knew there were crucial details missing from the instructions printed on the tow dolly. However, there was also limited space to hold such information. In addition to that issue, the instructions themselves were faded in some areas or scratched on the label. Anyway, a separate booklet with instructions would have made the entire process much easier. Now Uhual hooks up the tow dolly to the rental truck for free. But they will also hook your vehicle up to the tow dolly for 20 bucks. Now I wanted to save myself those 20 bucks thinking, how hard can it really be to hookup my car to this thing? I also felt 20 bucks was a bit much as anyone who does know how to do this can get it done in about 10 mins or less. But let me say that by the end of messing with the tow dolly I wished I had just paid the 20 bucks. If youve done it before, no problem. If not, consider the 20 bucks as an option and watch them do it so you can do it yourself next time. After spending some time unsuccessfully getting the car attached fully to the dolly I asked for Clark and Tod to take a look. They corrected a few mistakes I had made and got right into the labor of setting things up the way they should be. After having spent time correcting my mistakes I offered to just pay them the 20 bucks. They both declined; possibly because they saw I was perfectly willing to get myself dirty doing it myself or just because they were being nice. I had also cut my finger open on a metal component of the tow dolly and Clark offered me a bandaid after I asked for a place to wash the blood off my finger off. When they say moving is blood, sweat, and tears I must have taken it literally. Tod also offered to let me use their soap for removing oily residue from my hands. Point is, the three individuals I dealt with at this location went above and beyond what I would have expected and deserved some recognition, even if it is overdue. So thank you.

Friendly Staff is what drives these places as well as a place you feel you can trust keeping your stored items at. I had a problem with palates always being in from of unit for over a year and everytime I have had to move them. Granted it is on average 4 or 5 not completely blocking my unit but enough where it is aggravating enough to have to move them to the side. They know customers have units here but maybe they dont have the room to place them elsewhere. I complained about my situation that kept happening two weeks ago to one of their employees and the last time I went there I was shocked. For the first time in a very long time, there was nothing impeding my storage unit for me to have to move. She, being the U-Haul employee came out to me and even said that they heard me and actually did something about it. That was very sweet and considerate. I could have had a physical issue where I would have problems moving the palates or equipment partially in my way. I really felt they should have given me some sort of discount. I am not asking to give me a gold star discount but just enough to justify me labor work i have had to do everytime i came there. Granted it is after hours and most all other units do not experience this issue being my unit is non a/c and close to the very front entrance where palates and dollys etc are quickly needed for other customers. I cannot take away a star for this because the staff are very nice and the reason I have not asked to be relocated.

Very poor customer service. We made a reservation almost a month ahead of time to get a truck the day before we had to drive to PA. We had a reservation for 10am, we arrived 10 minutes early. They told us the truck wasnt there. The truck was in another location half hour away. I told them I made the reservation at their location because its close to our home and we have a very tight schedule. When we made the reservation the truck was there so I dont know why they didnt make sure they had it ready for us. Also they said we got a call to let us know and I explained we never got a call from anyone to let us know where the truck was. Then we go to the other location (terrible Uhaul place in a pretty run down mall looking thing) I stand there for over 15 minutes before someone finally helped me. Very upsetting situation specially when doing all this with a baby too.

Rarely write bad reviews, but I had to on this. After coming in and standing in the "register area" for about 5mins, I asked a service person if they can help me. No answer, just a head nod while she counted her change. Seems there is a disconnect between what the UHaul 800 customer service dept explained to me, vs the actual location. They didnt understand why, and neither could explain it. When I asked if there was an insurance policy on file for a truck rental, I was told they did not know unless they look at the paper contract my coworker used to rent the truck. I had to ask if they can punch it up themselves(makes sense right?) and she said it could take some time. What a joke from the minute I walk in. Poor customer service, and made you feel like youre a bother to them.

Currently on the phone with a lady named Shannon. I have a semi truck driver who is trying to provide quick, quality service but since the driver arrived at 4pm they dont want to load him with 1ubox. Id like to have this box picked up and get this customers freight delivered. Even though we have left plenty of messages throughout the day stating the driver will be arriving around 4pm and to make sure someone is able to load. Of course, theyre claiming they never got anything. But no, it takes 5minutes too long of someones time & we have to wait until the following day. Let me also add, ive been on hold for over 15minutes.
