At first iStorage seemed like a great facility. The staff was professional, the reviews were great, and my unit was easy to access (which was important to me). I rented a climate controlled unit for 5 months without any real issues. Then it happened... MOLD. I opened my unit one day to find my couch covered in mold. I immediately notified the office and after talking to the staff who admitted to AC units may not have been working properly, decided to move my belongings out and filed a claim with the insurance (the insurance they require you to have that you pay monthly for). Fast forward 16 weeks... After not hearing anything I contacted iStorage to inquire on the status of my claim. I was told I needed to come in and sign a form they had missed and a check would be mailed to me by the end of the week. ~ When I went by the office to sign the paperwork, the employees there told me they had the AC units checked after I moved out and they were in fact NOT working properly so it was good I had decided to move my stuff out ~ Two weeks later I still had not received a check so I contacted the facility and claims department. A week later, I was told by the facility I was denied because they do not cover mold damage of any kind. I feel its important to note that I knew my lease stated mold damage was not covered, it took me 15 minutes to read through my lease unlike the 16+ weeks it apparently took the claims department. The facility however was sure I would receive compensation and due to the fact it was the fault of the facility, I proceeded with the claim. I contacted the facility after I was told I was denied because I wanted to know why I was told I would be receiving compensation for my couch, and why I would be denied if my things were ruined because of THEIR faulty equipment. Of course I did not hear back from anyone. Two weeks later I contacted them again and this time spoke to the district manager who told me it appeared my claim was denied (no kidding). I was told by her (Ann) that her employees should have never told me anything about my claim, including the information about the AC and that I needed to speak with claims directly. I informed her I had been trying to speak with claims for 6 weeks and that I still had not heard from anyone nor had I received an official statement that my claim was denied (which she no answers too). She only repeated that again my claim was denied. I still have not received anything from the insurance company (via email or postal service) regarding my claim which is making me wonder if one was ever filed to begin with. Good luck if you choose to store your belongings here, hope you dont care about them.

I called to get pricing and availability. I was quoted a special of 50% off for the first two full months. When I called back a few minutes later, I was told that special was no more but now there was a 30% off for the first full 3 months but that I had to agree and pay right then to reserve the unit. This I did. I then went straight to the Titusville location to sign the rental agreement. When I arrived, the computer did not have the discount entered and I was told I had to pay full rental. The representative on duty did call the supervisor to get approval for this "special" and after a bit of a wait, he reluctantly agreed to honor the price. I was also told on the phone that if I had my own homeowners insurance I did not have to pay the monthly fee for insurance and that they would charge me (on the phone) but when I went in to sign the lease, it would be refunded when I presented my policy. This was also an issue. I was told that they do not refund this for any reason despite the fact I presented my policy as directed by phone. I was also told I could purchase and use my own lock, which I did. However, I was then informed that the units only used cylinder locks which dont seem to be available for purchase anywhere but at iStorage. Therefore, I had to purchase one of their locks and have to return the lock I bought. To make matters worse, the representative failed to return my drivers license which I then had to go all the way back to retrieve. When I got there, there was someone elses license sitting there in the open on the counter that had also not returned to its owner. Were I not in a hurry this day, I would have gotten a refund and walked out and rented somewhere else. When we got to the unit the next day, it first had to be swept and sprayed before we could start unloading our stuff. This is not the experience I have had at other storage facilities and I will not use this facility in the future.

BEWARE DOD GOV. CONTRACTORS!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE GIVEN iStorage a gold star because they force you to click a star to enable the "POST" tab. If youre a DOD contractor and are deployed for prolonged periods of time, do not do business with this this company. The guys that work at at local office are EXCELLENT!! This doesnt go the same for the corporate office manager, she doesnt make any exceptions for any situation, unless they fall under certain "corporate criteria". In my opinion she is more concerned about bringing in the very last nickel regardless of the circumstances rather than working with long time customers. She basically was more concerned about make an extra $40 dollars to wait 3 days longer for payment, than to help a DOD contractor and a very long time customer. I called in at beginning of week letting them know i had just gotten back from deployment and I would be coming in on Friday to pay for accrued late fees and for this next month, I was told that unless I came in that day I would be charged for an extra cutoff fee... I have never not been there on day I promised to make payment. I am talking to my attorney to see if I can actually post her name on here. The extra $40 dollars she decided she was charging me just cost her a longtime loyal customer, and my giving my feedback in as many different places to help protect DOD Gov contractors serving the Army, Marines, and Air Force.

First time storage user, did not understand the space I needed. I describe what I had to store and what I needed. They were very helpful and did not try to push me into anything I did not need but also reminded me of what I might have forgotten. Perfect customer service. Clean area, easy access. Great Service.

This place is "the Marriott" of storage facilities. The staff is so professional and accommodating. The facility is immaculate, the access gate works flawlessly and the representative even helped me find someone to help me move my belongings into the unit. . I am very pleased with my experience at iStorage.

We are new customers here. The staff made reserving online and applying for the unit in person very easy. All options were presented and thorough information provided. They were very patient with my questions and requests. We are very happy with the service and facilities.
