The Good: First, the staff at this location is extremely friendly and courteous. Kelly helped me secure a unit and even stayed after hours to help resolve issues when there was an error with the computer estimated monthly unit rate. Her positive attitude and willingness to help is the only reason that I would consider using Public Storage in general, again. The storage units I were shown were extremely clean, and the facility seems well-secured. The Bad: Public Storage in general tries to micromanage everything from corporate. While I understand that this can be beneficial at times, the result here is that they mistake units that are and arent available. I had to remake my reservation multiple times with corporate, and even when I finally reserved a unit, I received a call back that they had made a mistake and that unit wasnt available anymore. By the time I got to the storage facility, I found out that that wasnt the case and that actually that unit was available. In addition, I was originally told that only one person would be able to access the storage unit - not true. We are given two keys and you can put multiple people on the access sheet. This issue created problems because I originally had to cancel my reservation because I couldnt make it to the facility at the appointed time due to work and I was told if my boyfriend came in my place, I would have no way to access the facility. Lastly, while I originally was quoted a discounted rate for the first month, when I went to secure my unit I was told that I must have been mistaken or misinformed because there were no discounts on the unit I requested. Although this issue was resolved by the excellent local staff at the Park Road location, it did create a 2-hour headache while reserving the unit that even the corporate customer service informed me was out of their hands. In the end, the local staff resolved the issue and I received a unit that was suitable. Summary: Excellent local staff and local facility, but corporates attempt to control everything from a central locations makes more headaches than it is helpful.

I stopped by this Public Storage several weeks ago, and since the holidays are hectic for everyone, I am just NOW getting around to writing it. So, Ashley, sorry for the delay! Basically what I wanted to say is the experience I had with Ashley and this Public Storage was one of the best customer service experiences I have had in my life. Not only was Ashley very knowledgeable about the business and what she does, but she knew a great deal about the property, especially those things that were important to my husband and myself, especially since moving during the holidays is 100 times less fun than probably any time of year. She was kind, charming, very professional but without being overbearing, and very funny on a day when I really needed a good laugh. Enough about the great manager there; the location was great. It was clean, well-lit and I felt very secure with all of the precautions Ashley told me they had on the property. Ashley, if you read this, thank you so much for everything you helped my husband and myself with over these last few weeks. I truly appreciate everything you did and well see you in the New Year!

6 months ago we moved to Charlotte and rented a unit from this location. We were very excited because it was the right size, close to our home and priced fair. That all being said I should have known something was up when I was required to buy their in-house insurance even though I already had coverage (I was given a pro-rated amount back in a future month when I called the regional manager), and then required to buy THEIR lock, even though I already had one. 6 months later without notice (although they say they mailed us a letter), we were a bit shocked to realize our auto-withdrawal showed a rental increase of 25%! I fully understand rate increases, but 25% in six months is 100% unacceptable. They never mentioned to us on move in we should expect increases that often, nor of that amount. I quickly contacted the local office, who shoved me off to corporate who informed me that it was NON-NEGOTIABLE. Poorly done. Excessive increase and bad practice. You lured us in at a fair price, and then increased it to a price that is no longer ok.

Really well kept facility; good location near Park Road Shopping Center; well lit, well maintained, clean, good security. **HOWEVER** Public Storage management is Nazi about timeliness of payments - they will cut the lock and lock you out even if only a couple or three weeks late. Then you have to buy one of their locks (you cant use your own lock), which is just pure money grab on their part. Its really kind of a scam almost. If I beat my clients up that bad for being 2 or 3 weeks late on paying me, Id go out of business in no time flat. The Atlantic Storage facility on Monroe road is starting to look attractive and is staffed by far more professional personnel.

I stopped by the Park Rd. facility, shopping around and Matt has definitely raised the bar when it comes to customer service. He showed me around the facility, explained to me some of the benefits of choosing that particular property, showed me the different units and explained how much could fit in each different size, and also took the time to go into detail about which products I will need to pack and move my belongings in a safe and efficient manner!! The property is clean, the units are adequate, the location is fantastic, and the customer service is absolutely phenomenal!!

Since I havent even moved my belongings into the storage unit that I rented today, the 5 stars that Im designating are exclusively reserved for Alvina, the customer service person who assisted me in the process. Alvina was, professional, warm, and friendly, well informed, and very clear about the terms of the contract, the hours, and rules. I was in and out of the rental office in less than 30 minutes. Came into public storage located off of Park Road to inquire about prices and availability a young lady name of Dana was so helpful she was very informative and answered all the questions I had asked her she greeted me with a friendly smile and great customer service I look forward to renting from this location and will be letting all my friends and family to rent with public storage

at first I had apprehension just the thought of my belonging being elsewhere but Dana made me feel so comfortable the prices the tour while answering the phone and helping customers on the inside I was very impressed I got a unit if I come back Im coming back to the same location and Dana great person with the right attitude
