Update from yelp post below: Still going and enjoying it. Highly recommended. I have been going to Arthur Murray close to a year now. I highly encourage couples or singles to give it a try-- heres why. If you would have told me a year ago I would be regularly going to dancing lessons I would have said you are crazy, let alone enjoying it. I am a typical male and at first brush would much rather be out on the golf course, in the gym, or relaxing at home (I will be 50 this year). I originally went to practice for my daughters wedding and dancing turned into something my girlfriend and I decided to do on an ongoing basis instead of doing some small vacations we usually do. I find it highly rewarding in both our relationship and the great people we have had a chance to get to know. Much is made of the Arthur Murray way and how it makes learning to dance simple, and it does. But any business is the governed by the 3 Ps- People, Process, and Product. What makes this particular location standout are the People (owners and instructors). I know how some reading this may feel (got so much on my plate, busy busy busy) but life is more than being busy and taking a couple of dancing lessons (look for groupons/coupons etc) to see if its for you/your significant other is definitely worth your time.

My wife and I have been dancing for 10 years, all at Arthur Murray, and now 5 years at this studio. The instructors are not just great dancers but outstanding teachers. They make dancing fun yet challenging. Dancing is something we do as a couple and we can not imagine going a week without it! We enjoy social dancing around town, have dance parties, and also travel to dance in other cities and on select cruise ships that have true ballroom dance floors. For those men who are reluctant to try, I was one of those guys who couldnt drink enough to get on a dance floor - I avoided dance anywhere at all costs - seriously. After a few months of lessons my confidence grew and allowed me to more easily step out of my comfort zone and actually begin to enjoy dancing. Now, 10 years later, I cant get enough instruction so I can look better and better.

My fiancé and I went to Arthur Murray Alpharetta to take a few lessons our first dance and it was a great choice. They assured us that zero prior dance experience was needed and confirmed that with easy-to-follow teaching methods, friendly attitudes, and some humor to ease our nerves (Mr. Perez is hilarious). A month of weekly lessons later and we have a cute routine for our wedding and such a fun experience and new skill shared. Just the laughs weve had practicing in our living room and laughing our butts make the time and money spent well worth it.

Ms. Tovar was an excellent instructor. I came in not being able to hold somewhat of any kind of dance routine for longer than 5 seconds. After 3 months; I was dancing in charleston for nearly a twelve hour day with an array of steps between rhythm and smooth, all in my holster. They do a great job at making you feel important; as they also tought me how to play a few dances with my beloved bongos. Never did I esteem that I would get such attention and affirmation from a studio. I hope to return soon.

We came to Arthur Murray Dance Studio to learn to dance for our wedding. We were complete beginners but it was easy to learn with the attentive staff and our instructor. We came for several lessons and our instructor was kind, patient, and very interested in making sure we were learning what we wanted for our wedding. We even got to practice a few times with our wedding song playing throughout the studio. Highly recommend Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Alpharetta!

We had a great experience! We are not experienced dancers and wanted to be able to dance together at celebrations, with more than just the dance floor shuffle! Our instructor was patient and did a great job getting us ready for our next event!
