I think Pasofino is a great place to begin dancing. Ive learn new salsa and bachata moves. Pasofino has to offer some of the best dance instructors out there: Ive taken lessons with Jose, Oscar, Denisa, Connie and Ashwin. They are awesome!!! I have participated in group classes of salsa, bachata and kizomba. They have three levels for dance classes. Level 1 is for beginners. As you progress with your skills, timing and confidence, you move to Level 2 and Level 3. Salsa Group Lessons There are two flavors of group salsa lessons for Level1: One type of salsa lessons is structured in such way that you can learn new moves. After they teach you a new move, you practice the new one plus all the old ones. This way you can develop a pattern that will make you look good in the dance floor. With this type of lesson, you learn to dance as an individual. The other type of salsa lesson is structured to develop your confidence as you learn leading techniques while dancing and turning with your partner. In both classes, the structure is similar if you take the same class whenever they offer it again. That way you learn by repetition and depending on the instructor, they may teach a different move you havent seen before. Oscar, Jose, Ashwin and Connie are the instructors that are teaching me Level 1 Salsa. Bachata Group Lessons In the bachata lessons both individual moves and dance with a partner are incorporated in the same class. On this classes you learn the basic move patterns and basic turns with a partner. You will see that each day of this class is a little different, so its feels fun and new. Denisa, Jose, Ashwin and Connie are the instructors that are teaching me Level 1 bachata. Pasofino offers a great deal for first time visitors: you pay ten dollars and you can participate of all the group classes that you want for the next 10 consecutive days, including the day you purchase this package. They also have a membership that, as long as you commit to participate on classes for 3 months and you can participate of all the group lessons they offer. This membership is $125 a month. I made the math to know how much it cost per class taking this membership and it turn out to be a little less than $4 per class. For the quality of the lessons, the number of classes available for you, the parties they have every Thursday night after the group lessons (which are free for members), and the cost effective price per lesson, I choose Pasofino dance.

I could tell you so many stories and good things about Pasofino and its amazing instructors, founder and students. If you want to learn frame, structure, musicality, versatality, performance and such grow-up topics go to Pasofino. Dont even think about it twice. They really have a vision for how dancing should be. Let me narrate one experience that is etched in my memory - I knew about Pasofino and Lucy Lu much before I met them but for me ( and probably for you too) the proof always lay in the pudding. About 8 months into my salsa dancing, when I finally dared to get a one on one class with Lucy I challenged her about one major problem that I had - my leading ability had left a lot to be desired and I had received several demotivating comments about it. Problem was that no instructor in atlanta seemed to be able to help me more than move your hand like this or that. Lucy dissected how to lead on basic & crossbody lead for me over two hours. It was amazing how much she understood what each part of the body was supposed to do in a CBL or a basic and how to clue the follower about it. I unlearned and relearnt it all happily. And relearnt all my moves and routines with her technique (I still keep reviewing her instruction clip). The next time on the floor, I used Lucys technique. I saw the eyes of one particular advanced dancer (who used to reluctantly dance with me) grow big with surprise . At the end of the dance she remarked you have become so much more smoother now..what did you do . I told her about Pasofino. Lucy, Jose, Ashwin, Connie and other instructors at Pasofino subsequently became good friends and role models for me in my dance life - each of them a gem with their own specialities and techniques.

I started taking salsa classes just a couple of months ago at PasoFino, and I am thrilled to have become a part of this small community. The instructors are pros, very professional, extremely passionate, careful to observe individual progress even during group classes, so youll never feel like you dont know what you are doing or are alone in your learning process. You get a lot of encouragement from the instructors during classes, as well as other (often more advanced) students during their socials, and that alone if a confidence booster, keeping up the excitement. In the Salsa 101 series that I just finished we really got to learn a lot more moves than I expected from an introductory course, definitely worth a try if you are even just a bit curious or interested. Classes are highly affordable and the benefits are endless. Its a workout, salsa learning experience where you get to make a lot of new friends, polish your social skills, learn to move more gracefully, build self-confidence and learn from some of the best dancers in the USA. I highly recommend this studio and the instructors who are tireless in their commitment to share their love for Latin dances and teach them to us. Caution though - salsa may become addictive, and salsa learning may have such side effects as bachata/merengue/cha-cha/kizomba learning.

I happened upon Pasofino about a couple months ago from a student salsa network group and decided to give it a try with their intro special (Excellent option if you are looking into starting dance lessons). I LOVE the environment, class pricing options, and the variety of classes offered from Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba to their recently added Boogaloo/Cha Cha. I have taken dance lessons before but this was my first experience with a Latin Studio and it has been amazing! I can already feel my progress in the short months I have been going there. **Thursday is one of the best days to go as you can get the Footwork/styling class at 7, the turn patterns class at 8, and practice everything you learned at their social right afterwards Definitely recommend this studio for ALL levels Beg-Adv.! The instructors provide an excellent learning environment and all have strong dancing backgrounds that cater to your individual level. Their group lessons still have a one-on-one vibe, something that is very hard to accomplish!!

I started at Pasofino a year ago when I first moved to Atlanta. I happened to see it online and decided to give it a try. I had been going out salsa dancing for a few years, but I wanted to dance with more style and grace. I started in level one, and have worked my way up to level three. The instructors at Pasofino are awesome!! They start with the basics so that you have a strong foundation, and before you know it, you become an advanced dancer with great technique. Every week I am learning something new! Most importantly, every class is a lot of fun. Pasofino is a great place to learn because of the people. When I first went to the studio I didnt know anyone in the state, but now I feel like I have a family :) The studio always has social events going on, and outings into the community. So, if you are interested in becoming a great dancer, or just want something social to look forward to, I suggest you come to Pasofino!
