There are so many wonderful things about this dance studio. I came to Dance 101 on recommendation from a friend in New York City (where I use to live) and it has certainly lived up to the solid reputation that it has built within the dance community. I would describe myself as a beginner and, after having my second child, I needed a place that would not feel intimidating. It is beginner friendly, and the instructors there really give dancers of all levels a good technical foundation, a sense of fun, style and a strong workout. The first class I took was Ballet 101 with Brad McCaskill, who is just one of the most outstanding teachers I have every come across to date and is extremely approachable. He is professionally accomplished (recognized around the world), technique oriented, passionate about his students and has a great sense of humor that keeps the class interesting. It is a good entry point to start back into dance and get in shape. There are over 50+ Discover classes offered every week and I never get bored trying new things as well. The best advice I can offer is get a dance pass first and try a few different classes to see what area/teachers you like the best. The wonderful thing is that you do not have to commit to a membership or class contract upfront---it affords you a lot of flexibility. Based upon other studios with their quality of teachers, the prices are in line and certainly, in my opinion, worth it.

Ive been going to Dance 101 for more than 7 years now and I still love it. They offer a variety of classes to meet any skill and fitness level. The staff is always pleasant and its just a lot of fun. I recommend it to anyone seeking a good workout that doesnt feel like exercise - more like a dance party. I especially like Veras Cardio Dance Club, D. Norris Hip Hop Fit, Mirians Extremo Brasil, Caribbean Calypso and any of the high energy dance fitness classes for a great workout. The only change I dont like is that class cards now expire to 3 months after activation. Ive lost classes (=$$) due to travel and just life. Its not cheap. Memberships do help if you plan to go at least a couple times a week. Parking is plentiful and right out front. Its now a little easier to access this location too with some welcome changes to Briarcliff Road. If youre thinking of trying it out, look out for their specials and also the free week they usually offer in January. Whatever it takes to get there, know that if you like to dance, youll love Dance 101.

I am 29 years old and have not danced since drill team in high school (13 yrs). I joined Dance 1o1 as an attempt to break out of my shell, do something good for my body and fun for my mind. I was a little intimidated my first few classes. I thought….WOW if these are classes for beginners…I must SUCK! Let me say this…give it a few classes and you will be just as impressed as me. There is a GREAT selection of Discover classes for beginners and most of the instructors absolutely ROCK. The girl Jennifer at the front desk has also been amazing at helping me design a class schedule that works for me. She listens to my concerns and advises me on what classes I should start with. D. Norris, Apollo and Kevin are my favorite instructors. Thank you for helping me get my 2 left feet flowing a little more smoothly ;) I also really enjoy Ofelias Abs and Stretch classes…this place is changing my body and my mind. Give it a try..ITS WORTH THE MONEY!

Just Amazing. I have been going to Dance 101 for about 8 months now. I danced when I was younger and wanted to get back into it. I would recommend attending Dance 101s orientation to learn about their classes before signing up. They have classes (for adults) for all levels. I eased my way back into dancing with their Discover Level classes then moved up to the more advanced ones. You pay by class so you do not have to attend every week. As well, I would recommend trying different classes too. Very friendly staff, and awesome teachers. HIGHLY recommend.

great atmosphere! lovely teachers and staff and also the group of people who come here. very diverse, and welcoming. wish they had more classes tailored to "fitness" and "body sculpting", but in terms of cardio, and typical dance classes they are great. my fav classes are definitely MADD-X! the class is always packed..for a good reason.., then A town funk, and hip-hop fit.

I love this studio. As a beginner, I did not feel out of place. There are classes available for all levels. Teachers and staff are great. My only two qualms: 1. There are no morning classes. I would love to be able to exercise before work. 2. The instructors do not wear microphones, so it is difficult to hear directions over the music.

Ive been dancing here for over two years and I still love the studio. They have hip hop, salsa, jazz, tap, ballet, belly, contemporary and yoga. Each instructor brings their individual style to class so try them all out to see which one speaks to you.

Dancers Stretch & conditioning with Ofelia is amazing, refreshing, and just what I needed! Lots of options for all styles and levels of dance too! I did the new member package and got to check out a lot of great classes.
