I went in to get an estimate to respray my hood, as the clearcoat had begun to separate, and I wanted to get a pair of rust bubbles taken care of. The secretaries were polite and pleasant, and we chatted about the car as I filled out my paperwork. The tech came out from the back, and without even seeing my car told me "Well, we do more collision repair here." I said "Dont you have a paint gun in the back?", and, quickly, "sorry if that sounded rude." He said, "Yeah, but not one that fits Jaguars." I was stunned for a moment, immediately realizing I had been insulted and denied service without a real explanation. I left. Seems odd to me- it says PAINT and BODY right there on the building, and I came in wanting to spend money on PAINT and BODY work. Had he said "The job is too small." or "I hate your pretentious British sports car and your stupid face. Leave." then it would have been understandable, but I was completely patronized and told, essentially, "your moneys no good here." Perhaps if I struck my hood repeatedly with a hammer, he would have consented to paint it? We may never know. Glad theyre too rich to need the work. Shame- he could have given the nice secretaries a bonus.

I came to Specialty Paint & Body because someone had scraped against my rear bumper. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable about what they do. I also got an estimate on another unrelated scrape on my vehicle and checked it with my brother who has several years experience in the paint and body field. They were spot on. My car looks like new now, the paint job matches the rest of my car perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely be coming here from now on should any of my vehicles need it. My husband also totaled the front end of his car and they gave an honest estimate and great advice that ended in us deciding to sell the car instead of getting it fixed. Even though that meant that they would not be getting the business to fix it, they have enough respect for their customers not to screw them over. I dealt with mainly Janice during these encounters and she was wonderful! It really means a lot to me to know that I have a reliable place to take my vehicles especially since moving here so far from home. I hope this review helps!

First time Ive had an accident big enough to fix my car and I was nervous on how this process would go, but Im glad I went to Speciality. Really great experience, staff was very friendly, helpful, and they did a great job replacing my drivers side door after a truck knocked a huge dent into it. Very pleased with its fixed appearance. With that said, unfortunately, I did encounter ONE problem- when I hopped back into my car and was ready to drive away, the automatic lock button didnt work on the door that was replaced. I was a little upset, but the staff was very accommodating and actually fixed that problem within the hour despite their busy workload. If something like that is going to happen, Im glad I was at Speciality because they took another look at it immediately rather than making me drive a rental car for another day or two. How can I be upset with service like that? I can see why Speciality Paint & Body Repair was recommended to me- I am overall very pleased with my experience & would definitely use them again.

My daughter was in an accident in which her SUV was badly damaged. Living two hours away and being unfamiliar with the local body shops, I turned to an acquaintance who recommended Specialty. I called and was assured that the vehicle would be moved from the wrecker company, where it was towed to after the accident, to Specialty. When I arrived that afternoon, I was greeted with smiling faces. The secretary, owner and garage manager all took time to explain their assessment of the damage, which was a total loss. Concerned with what to do with the wreck, they provided the names of three salvage yards and even called one with whom I eventually arrived at a fair agreement. The folks at Specialty put time and effort into my case without financial remuneration. I live over an hour and a half away from Specialty Paint & Body. I pass many repair shops to make it to Specialty, but I dont mind a bit! There has been three occasions where Thomas, Janice and the entire crew helped me. The first time was to fix a botched job another repair shop did to my 2012 Acura TL. Specialty made my car look brand new! We used Specialty to repair my Mothers care as well. Her car came out looking brand new too! The kindness and professionalism extended by everyone at Specialty is second to none. If you have a chance, ask them to see the shop where the repairs are done..it is the cleanest car repair shop Ive ever seen! Specialty Paint & Body has been voted the number one shop in the area..they earned it!

I got my Fusion fixed at Specialty Paint and Body and just received it back yesterday and the repairs look absolutely fantastic! I was asked by my insurance company numerous times if I was sure I wanted to take my car to Specialty as this was not one of their "specific repair shops" and each time, I answered with an overwhelming "yes!" and I was not disappointed in my decision! I cannot thank each of you enough for the beautiful work done to my car! Additionally - holy mother of pearl! - the vacuum job done inside the car and the wash job done to my car astounded me! It makes me feel like Im riding in a brand new car! Thank you so so much for everything! You guys rock!

If you feel compelled to wreck your car, this is the place to turn back the clock. Ive had to have vehicles repaired before at different shops and they were terrible, but Specialty Paint & Body were terrific and professional! They made the process extremely easy and pleasant. They are very easy to work with and their shop is immaculate! They had a rental car waiting for me when I dropped my car off and did all the paperwork for me. My car was washed and vacuumed upon return. I would recommend them to anyone. They are the only body shop that I trust. I should wreck my car more often.

After a 6 week long saga with a tire store that caused damage to my van, by forgetting to tighten lugnuts, causing an entire wheel to fall off, I finally got a glimpse of the work today. It looks beautiful. All of the employees have been better than awesome. They went way above and beyond to make sure that ME, the customer was the one that was happy, not the tire store that was paying for the damage. This is hands down the best body work I have seen done in the Athens area! WIsh I could give 10 stars!

The folks at Specialty were awesome from the moment I walked in. Very friendly and helpful. Talked to me about the different options for my repair, not necessarily just the most expensive. They actually saved me around $500 from the dealers estimate. Even shared some of the owners potato salad with me that they were having for lunch that day. Seriously! And the quality of the work was excellent. I definitely give them the highest recommendation.
