Very dissatisfied with the initial customer service given to me and my husband on Wed. 04/06/16 at this place. The hostess, a tall blond young woman in a flowery dress, seated us, however we wanted a table with a better view of outside, than the table where she wanted to seat us. So we picked the one the that we wanted like we have before when dining here. She didnt seem happy about our choice because of her comment of saying referencing about the table being big for us. After being seated, she returned after a few minutes and asked us to move so that another set of customers could have our table because it accommodated them better. What????? I was not happy about this. Then she added that one of the customers was wheelchair bound. So she really insisted for us to move. This was unreal. The restaurant had other areas to assist the party which turned out to be only 3 people. So not the large number she portrayed them to be. Now, this hostess was out of order with this behavior because the manager had already accommodated the other party while she was harassing us about this table. To get to the point we moved to be nice even though I did not want to, because I thought that it was wrong to treat patrons in this manner. The manager Jason came over at this point and insisted that we did not have to move, once he was aware of the matter but we had already gotten up and moved. I was so upset at this point and could not really enjoy my meal. We again talk to the manager he apologized for the misconduct of this hostess and took care our meal because of this mistreatment. He said he also had reprimanded her as well. Our waiter was great and I was satisfied with how the manager resolved our issue at the end. However, it was drawn out with resolving the matter and it ruined my dinner for that night. I usually enjoy myself when dinning here, but this experience may keep us away in the future. Such a shame. Please get rid of that hostess, she did not even apologize to us.

1st time customer at the insistence of a co-worker. Upon entering the Tavern at 4:45 on Thrs (8/11/16), we waited & waited for the hostess who was right in front of us to at least acknowledge us ... A simple smile & hello does nicely. We finally had to ask to be seated. Strike 1. While the servers are very attractive young ladies & their outfits are a bit tiny, their demeanor is a bit much. Our server - Malia (sp?) arrived to take our drink orders. Didnt introduce herself or even really say much ... Placed our orders & she promptly turned away - to which I asked her name - and she turned back, smiled & gave us her name. Seemed fake!! Strike 2. She returns w/ our drinks - which took only a few minutes & we attempted to place some appetizer orders ... She literally couldnt get away fast enough & had to ask her to come back so we could finish our order!! Same as above ... Poor social graces. What gives here? They are working for tips, right?! Upon receiving the food, presentation obviously wasnt on the high priority list of the food preparer. We had ordered the ribs & calamari but when I asked the server how it came or if it was good she replied, "I dont know, I dont eat seafood." So I asked for her recommendation - she steered me towards the chips w/ BBQ Chix ... It was so-so & we probably left over half the plate. The BBQ sauce was overpowering. Its hard to provide a realistic food critique as I dont feel we had enough to be fair. I can say the food we got was just ok but the prices were ridiculous. We had 2 YeungLings, 2 bourbons, ribs app & BBQ Chix chips - total w/ tip was $70!!! Im used to entertaining clients & have many "Go-To" high-end restos around the southeast US w/ exceptional food & 2nd to none service - happy to have a great server!! I love to tip well when that happens but Im comfortable saying this would not be a return establishment. Strike 3!!!

Visiting Atlanta and staying overnight. As walking around and wanted to have dinner so we stopped here for our convenience. My husband ordered Thai Chicken Salad and I ordered Broiled Salmon Salad. Thai Chicken Salad was topped with un-trimmed beansprouts and looked soo unappetizing. (Although, how to serve Beansprouts here in United States are not the way I grow up and I get upset everytime I see it.) Fravor of Thai Chicken Salad was good and he finished all... Salmon salad.... it was bit of burned side yet perfectly cooked inside with fishy flavor. Balsamic Vinaigerette was overpowering the Salmon and sliced fresh mushrooms did nothing to accompanied Salmon at all. All greens sat in a pool of Vinaigrette in the bowl. I never had Balsamic Venaigrette that so runny. I also though that if the restaurants lighting were brighter then this salad would not look good at all. towards to the end of our dinner time a staff who cleaning a table right next us dropped food scraps and trash to the Isle to sweep up but we were still at the table and eating!? Also if some customers are not welcomed because they are wearing no-sleeve shirts then customers with skimpy clothes almost showing their private areas shouldnt be accepted. It was very uncomfortable to see in the atmosphere. Food Quality and overall customer service quality should looked again.

Our server "Porsha D" should be fired or get a serious attitude adjustment. My girlfriend and I went for lunch today. We sat for a long time before being asked the only words she spoke to us the whole time "do you want anything besides water". We ordered, our food came, no silverware was provided. I had to go to the hostess to get it. When the hostess brought our silverware the waitress passed her and rolled her eyes. Then we requested her at our table(Porsha), she didnt come(the whole time showing the other table (of her color) excellent service. I am mixed and my girlfriend is white. I am the last to play the race card, but I seriously believe this was the case this time(porsha is Black). Then she refused to speak a word to us the whole time. Often walking off before we could finish speaking (mid sentence). Ive been to the tavern before multiple times and it usually has good service. This server needs a serious attitude adjustment though.

The filet salad is my favorite menu item. And for dessert, the peach cobbler is everything you could dream of and them some! As far as service, Ill tell you the reality... this place hires young waitress to wear very short dresses and heels so its not family friendly. If youre a corporate businessman, you will receive grade A service, hands down... however, if youre a woman with other women, my experience is that you will get ignored and receive the worst service like you were last weeks news. This really should altogether be a "mens club." As a woman, one is made to feel unwelcomed here. They have everything but a sign to say so... disappointing. I also have heard from some young ladies who have worked here that as a rule, they dont typically hire women of color either. Visually, this accusation looks true, but who knows. Whatever the case, while the food is good, this isnt the place I feel welcomed... so Im good.
