Normally I dont care for female barbers, but I went out of my way to try this place and they open at 6:30. Today is Tuesday and they are normally closed, but they opened today because yesterday they closed for Labor Day. Cecilia was my barber and she was great. Got a slick cut, took 10 minutes, razor blade neckline, clippers and scissor cut and style. I told her I wasnt sure what I should do for a cut/style, she suggested medium length business cut, no length, but no skin showing either. She evened up my burns without destroying them. She was polite, friendly, and handled her business without jabbing at my skull with clippers like youd get at a "great clips." I loved the early morning, pre-dawn cut and coming out just as the sky turns a dark blue over the shop, while the lot and traffic at Goldbergs bagels and deli, and neighboring Publix started getting busy. Its just a great feeling to walk out trim and clean into the bustle and promise of an early morning like that. It was a new experience, and one Ill care to repeat many time over. $18 cuts, $13 wash, (I just got the cut) and they have shaves and other services. **Cash only.** (I found out the hard way) No appointments. Walk-ins only. There was 1 other guy getting a cut while I was there, about 6:50-7:05am. But 2 walked in after me. The parking lot is easy enough to access and theres plenty of space. But the area is crowded and traffic is heavy in the area. First time I have enjoyed a hair cut in at least a year or 2.

A _great_ barber shop. These people know their trade and are consistently personable everytime you go. Thomas Barber Shop is a 2nd generation business. Tommy Thomas is not only a great barber, he and Thomas Barber Shop are active in the local community, sponsoring several youth league sports teams among other causes. Everybody barber in the shop seems to have established a very positive rapport with each regular customer. Tommy cuts my hair, as he has done for some 30+ years. I drive about 30 minutes to get there each time. Always ready to talk about your family, your interests and your favorite college football team. Go see Tommy and his staff. It is an experience, not just a haircut. (Tommy, does this sound good enough to warrant a free haircut?)

This establishment is both prejudice and racist. I went to get a haircut before my wedding and the looks, response, and treatment were completely uncalled for, rude, and out of line. If you are of African descent in any way then prepare for a terrible experience. I had one of the barbers tell me that they had four people in line so the wait would be too long and then I watched four other people come in and get haircuts. Terrible service and treatment on all levels.

Does Tommy ever stop entertaining? From the donuts and treats he keeps in the back of the barbershop for the customers to the television shows to the non-stop banter with the customers, its not just a haircut - its an entertainment experience! and get a good haircut too! All for under 20 bucks. its the go to haircut place in Buckhead.

Donuts for kids on Saturday morning. If you like to talk football or politics while you get your hair cut, Tommy is your man. I take my boys (7,9) here and they think it is awesome.
