Went in for a snapped spark plug..now I know NOT to crank it, so I had it towed in...AFTER the mechanic DRIVES IT IN (wish I would have recorded it) tells me I need a new motor!!!! THEN they claim the transmission locked up, while they were backing it out...(fast forward here for a sec, had that transmission rebuilt at Genes in Dallas, after it left Mt Zion, and said there was no path for it to lock up in reverse) so they get one from a junk yard, they claimed to have inspected with only (35000ish miles on it) (Genes found mud and water in it). If that does not run you off...I have MORE!! So get my car back, transmission is failing, and all of a sudden Im blowing smoke...I will find out later I either have a blown head gasket, blown head or a WARPED motor where they had a few joy rides and ran it HOT!!! Where I bought the car from has GPS in it, and they had a good time in my car! .........USE AT YOUR OWN RISK......they talk a good game.......beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They appear to be knowledgeable and are extremely nice. I appreciated what I thought was honesty, however they fixed something on my car that was not the problem I explained to them. I told them what other shops said and asked for a price. They diagnosed my car and told me that wasnt the issue. Now Im spending another $600 to get the car fixed. When I call they dont pick up but if a friend calls they do. It sucks but thats the nature of the beast.

Extremely polite and knowledgeable! I had a electrical problem with my vehicle and had taken it to three places prior. I dropped off my vehicle, and within 2 hours I had a received a phone call. THEY HAD FOUND THE ISSUE! The problem was corrected and I got my car back the same day! Definitely recommend! The price was extremely reasonable and the new manager was great! I will be going back next week for an oil change with my other vehicle.

This review has been updated after talking with the owners. The root of the problem was a previous employee they had, who is no longer working with them. Took my car in to have the clutch replaced. They also found one of the axles to need replacement. Work was quick and good. Jim has tons of experience and will not doubt for a second to check the manufacturers instructions to complete the job the right way. Totally recommended

When I brought my truck into Mt. Zion Automotive, it was on its death bed. The guys at Mt Zion Automotive diagnosed what was wrong quickly and accuratlly and were able to tell me what needed to be fixed just to bring it back to life cost effectively. They were able to get it safe to drive in just a couple days and I was back on the road.

This is based on professionalism alone: I called to see if they could hang a muffler for me. It was late on a Friday afternoon, they said no problem to bring it in. I get there and nobody has a clue and the only guy that does mufflers is gone for the weekend. Thanks for wasting my time!
