Called them and asked them how much it would cost to have a high pressure switch installed for my AC since I though the chevy dealers price was a bit high for a procedure that only requires draining the freon, screwing in the switch, and recharging the unite. They insisted that I would need to drop it off so they could look at it and see how difficult it would be to give me a price. They quoted me $350. Nearly doubling what the dealer wanted. And gave me some run around about it and then after I declined there service they charged me $60 for an AC diagnostic since they said they had to perform one. I never once asked for one, I simply wanted a qoute on replacing a switch. Lesson learned, If your in the commerce area, suck it up, take it to the dealer. If your fine with a slightly longer wait since there busy then woods is also a good shop. But this place is a straight up over priced scam. Its never been the same since the original owner passed.

My Subaru broke down in Commerce, GA on a Saturday evening. I found James Brooks Automotive through two other positive reviews online. On Monday morning I called James and had the car towed into the shop. I was afraid Id be stuck in Commerce for another night, but James and the crew got me back on the road by noon. Though Subarus are not very common in the area, James made many calls and managed to find the part. Everyone at the shop was very professional, helpful, and friendly. They have a nice, clean waiting area. Even as a young woman on my own, I felt very comfortable. It was about as positive an experience as it could be, under the circumstances. Thanks to everyone at James Brooks Automotive!

You couldnt ask for a nicer, more honest place for car repairs. My car broke down on 85 and I was towed to James Brooks Automotive. Id been there before, with great results, and was thankful my breakdown occured within towing range of their business. When we found out it was the water pump and would have to wait for parts to arrive, James wife kindly offered to drive me home so I wouldnt have to sit in the shop all day. Who does that in this day and age?? Despite their already busy day, parts were found and my car was fixed before the end of the day. And the best part? I still have all my arms and legs! Fast, Reasonably Priced and Friendly Service. Who could ask for anything more?

I took my newly purchased 1952 Ford Customline to James to have the front end aligned, steering straightened out and oil changed. He was able to fix all the front end issues, put brake pads on and change a caliper out. The car has been retro fitted with different brakes and James had to figure out what the replacement parts were. It drives so much better. And now I know what parts I need to be looking for. The service was timely and he kept me in the loop on what was happening. I will be taking my car back for any other needs. Its good to know I have a local mechanic I can trust. The prices were very reasonable.

We were traveling from Charlotte, nc To Atlanta Georgia and broke down on the highway. We call James Brooks who gave us a good towing company. When we got to their shop, The staff was very helpful. The technicians were knowledgeable and were able to help us make it back on the road quickly. They even had toys for the baby to play with. They were friendly and fast. We highly recommend this family owned business.

My 1997 F150 had a major oil leak on the way to work and I was recommended to call James Brooks Automotive and I had it towed to their shop and that afternoon I was back up and running. They found the last oil change service had left the old oil ring and I had a double ring that caused failure of the oil seal. Thanks for your honesty and quick service!!

This shop is the only one that I trust to work on all my vehicles. James doesnt just replace parts he truly diagnoses the problem and does the proper repairs. Great honest folks that look out for everyones best interest. If you are looking for repairs on your vehicle this is the only place to take your car or truck to!
