HUGE disappointment to spend the money on private PreK where we were promised a better program than Ga PreK. Weve had a child in Ga PreK and it completely blows this place away. The upper management run the PreK room like daycare instead of PreK. The teachers at CS are wonderful, however, they cannot provide the services necessary if they dont have an organized leader giving them the support they require. Read the other reviews. They sum it up perfectly. Heres what we have witnessed ourselves. Incompetent assistant who gets away with leaving children outside or letting them get away from her. When a parent complains about this particular assistant (the Directors daughter) we are met with disbelief or even criticism. The handbook states there is an open door policy, but requests and complaints are brushed under the rug and issues are blamed on others. The Director lacks organization and communication skills. Security is dangerous. Computerized system NEVER works. When a few parents complained, they started using sign in sheets. These didnt appear to be used by all staff appropriately. They were frequently thrown away at night before children could be entered into the system. The morning person had to check kids out before she could get them checked in for the day. They rarely had someone at the front desk in the afternoon and in the 6 months we were there, the code never changed. Illnesses are NEVER communicated. So, not only are they failing on the program promised, they are in several violations according to the state of GA. The center is being run by first-time daycare owners, absentee, where they have an unhealthy attachment to a Director who apparently has not been honest with them. They view the center more as a business and bottom-line proposition than a caring and safe place for kids.

Our daughter has only been going there for 3 weeks and we had to take her out of this school. (She is 17 months).. Her teacher lied to us and management team in reference why our daughter was crying... My husband decided to do a surprise visit because they do not have camera access to stream in live. He heard my daughter hysterically crying from outside the classroom he goes in the classroom and of course the teacher was shocked to see him there and tried to go towards my daughter to try to calm her down after my husband saw that the teacher was just letting our daughter cry and not attending to her needs...When he asked why was my daughter crying first she says o she has been crying like this all day. I think she is still sick!!!! When I called to see why my daughter was crying one of the management team members said it was because the teacher was changing another childs diaper and my daughter wanted to be picked up.... I also spoke to the teacher and she told me the same LIE.... I asked to review the cameras with the director to see what really happened with all the different stories. The director said that I would not be able to view the the cameras without a court order because of privacy policies so she told me she would review the cameras. Come to find out after the director reviewed the cameras our daughter was CRYING for 10 MINUTES without any teacher or management team going to attend to her needs.... Needless to say my daughter will never be returning back to this school... I hope that no one else experiences this with their child......

My (own 2) kids LOVE Camden and I LOVE working there. Do we have days we are overwhelmed? yes, but this is because WE CARE, we care about our job and "our babies" all the kids in my class are "my babies" and I love them as my own. We do our best to make sure they are loved and are learning on a daily basis. I teach jr prek ( older 3s younger 4s) and my kids can count to 10 in 5 different languages (besides English) they know all their states in alphabetical order, the can tell you the complete water cycle, the know their letters and letter sounds and are in the beginning stages of reading. They count to 100 and can count to 100 by 10s, they know the actual value of any coin (money) we make learning FUN. I wake up every morning ready for work and I dont dread going to work. This is something you should definitely look for when choosing a school for your child. That the teachers care and LOVE your child and their job. Dont let one or 2 disgruntled past employees defer you from checking our school out. My 5 yr old ( prek age) daughter is learning on a 1st grade level and she amazes me everyday with the things she learns. We also have a very clean facility we take pride in our rooms being clean. We have a weekly grading system for our rooms and Ill tell you that 100% of us will be upset with anything less than an "A".

We have had two children here over multiple years, and the criticisms that are on here from earlier reviews are absurd. First off, the place doesnt smell like bleach. It smells clean. It smells like the folks that work there care that it does NOT smell or cause the spread of illness. The other criticism that teachers wait too late to call before the child is sick is also ridiculous. If I had one comment about this it would be that they err to the side of caution more than even I would. The director at the time of my writing is Brittany. Im not exactly sure how you can say a negative word about her. Her heart is as good as gold, and shes purely in it for the kids. Again, the comments made earlier are uninformed at best and malicious at worst. Im not sure you can have a better "face of the franchise" than her. The prices are higher than I would like, but they are competitive for what you get. The children get two good meals a day included in the prices, and there is no after-school care costs as they remain open until 6:30. Long and short, weve been very pleased and would do it again without hesitation.

My fiancé was considered a top employee at this school and has worked there for over a year. But apparently if you get sick they will fire you if you dont come in, regardless of the fact that she called in well before her next shift and had a doctors note, AND they TOLD her not to come in. She had strep and tonsillitis at the same time and did not want to come in and get the kids sick and this was only her third day missed in many months other than a time that they told her to take the day off because they were over staffed. Because she got sick they fired her because in their words "you should have come in even though you were sick". So if anyone is wanting to take their child there be aware that they do not care if the teachers are sick and get your child sick. They are extremely rude and inconsiderate to others especially when it comes to talking bad about other people behind their back. I would never send my child here solely because of their lack of concern for the childrens health.

Ive been taking a 3 year old there and Ive seen nothing but great progress. Every day I pick him up, he always talks about how much fun he had, what letter he learned about, dancing, etc. He is late on being potty trained, but he is making progress since going to Camden. Hes even starting to move away from sippy cups! He also speaks highly of his teachers, Ms. Haley and Ms. Caroline. He confides in them when he has a bad attitude about going to school and that is really important to me. Since he feels safe with the teachers, I dont have to constantly worry about him while Im at work. Weve had a great experience with Camden Academy so far. The staff are nice, caring people. Id highly recommend Camden Academy to another parent.
