All of the astronomically high dealer service fees with none of the repair. Brought my vehicle here to have a breather hose attached. The issue causing my vehicle to fail emissions was explained (very clearly not the issue they fixed) by me, as I knew the issue but did not want to do the work myself. Instead of replacing the two pinched emission lines causing me to fail on code p0411, they ordered a hose that has effect on emission pass/fail status. The part they ordered was a different hose which is easier to attach that it is to fill ones vehicle with washer fluid. A literal 2 minute job, snap both ends on a very easily accessible spot, and done. What do they charge for labor? $171.00. For no more than what would be five minutes of my time and probably less for the technician to fix. ASE labor rate per hour is $60, and most shops dont breach $90 (this is the rate you see at a "stealership") . This is such a small fix that the labor rate isnt even defined for it. After ripping me off for labor and charging me $21.50 for shop supplies on top of it, which amounted to one hose clamp, it was said to be fixed. I drove my car around to get my readiness set to passing on my ECU, and voila. Using VCDS diagnostic for volkswagen Audi cars, I pull the same p0411 code which caused me to bring it in the first time. Luckily I was wise enough to check my vehicle status before being forced to waste another $20 on an emissions test. Do NOT trust this shop. They charge astronomically high labor rate per hour (highest Ive ever seen), charge you for shop supplies that are 10,000% higher than what they can be bought for at your local auto parts store (or even more in the case of my $0.20 hose clamp costing $21.50), and for me, did nothing to fix the problem I initially brought the vehicle in for. This is the truest form of wolf in sheeps clothing auto repair.

I am completely disgusted with them. I have take my wifes car there several times to have some repairs done. I thought they would be a respectable, honest, and professional shop. I have now been proven VERY wrong. Her car was having issues with the steering, so I told her to take it there and let them look at it. They told me about $100 to diagnose it, okay. Then they called me telling me a list of stuff that was wrong with it, adding up to almost $1200, in which one of these was an alignment. So I told them to go ahead. This was on Friday, they told me it would be done on Monday at lunchtime. So I had my father-in-law set up to pickup the car for me while I was at work. He was waiting from a call from me to get it. I did not receive a call until after 4. Then they proceeded to say that the car could not be aligned because a ball joint was wore out. Why did they not catch that in the $100 diagnosis?? So the next day, I took it to another shop to have them do the ball joint, and they call and tell me that Christian Brothers had replaced everything except what needed to be replaced! All the ball joints were worn out! That is ridiculous! I can not believe that they could not diagnose the car properly. They are nothing but people who replace parts hoping to fix the problem, not mechanics. EXTREMELY disappointed. Will NEVER return or EVER refer anyone to them. So now after $600 more and 2 hours of wait, my car is done the way it should have been to begin with. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU JUST WANT TO LOSE MONEY!!

With all the good reviews I decided to give them a try. I stoped in to inquire on a paid vacation inspection and was informed that they would do it at no cost and it would take about 15-20 minutes. I thought that was to good to be true but made arangements to bring in the car the next day. I inadvance stated that I only needed the inspection. After about 15 minutes I was informed that the front brakes were completely worn out and that the rear would need changed in the near future. They tried to make me feel like scum since I did not have the brakes done their and then. I reminded them about the about the agreement we made to just inspect the car and if repairs were needed I would bring it back. To make a long story short - I inspected the brakes myself and found the rear and front to be worn equally - no need for a comment that it must be done now. Since then I replaced both the front and rear brakes myself with high quality linings and at a price less than 1/3 of their price for the front only. In the future I will make time and go back to inspecting my own car and yes in my youngin years I was a auto mechanic. I was looking for a new non dealer location but I do not have a good fealing with this place. This is my opinion and comment - yours may be different.

I rarely take time to submit negative reviews. I wanted a shop I could trust, so I took my vehicle to Christian Brothers (because of their name). I felt they exaggerated the seriousness of my repairs. They were over-zealous in their desire to restore my vehicle to perfect condition - even though it wasnt necessary. They recommended changing my "dirty" transmission and power steering fluid, however another reliable shop, months later said my fluids looked great/clean. Christian Brothers said my serpentine belt was worn and would need to be replaced in a few months, however here I am almost 2 years (20,000) miles later and the belt is just fine (even lasting a trip to Miami). Despite their clean, organized business, customer friendly service, free shuttle service, and willingness to correct their wrongs (by extending a complimentary $20 service on my next visit), I cannot bring myself to return since I cannot trust their recommendations. My opinion? Take your car across the street like others have done. Youll save a ton of money and theyll work EXTREMELY hard to satisfy you.

When I initially called the shop after my car alternator died I was told it could easily be done that day. After paying the tow truck and arriving at the shop I was then told it might take as long as two days. I wouldnt have even bothered taking the car in if I had initially been told it would take up to two days. The next day I was called and informed of my diagnosis on the vehicle. $641 for a new alternator and battery. Highway robbery. I asked for the bill itemized and was told the alternator was going to cost $300 (labor not included). You cannot find a $300 dollar alternator because they do not exist. At MOST, an alternator should be around $150. I even called my car dealership and talked to parts and service and was told their alternators were $250. Also, they do not include the $97 diagnostic fee into the services rendered, which, is standard. Long story short, paying almost $650 and waiting two days for $250 worth of parts and an hour worth of labor is criminal. Never again.

Best Mechanic !! Highly Recommended! After a terrible experience at another mechanic I was referred to Christian Brothers by a friend and am so pleased they told me about them. I have been so impressed with the care and time they take with me each time I am there. They always explain things in a way I can understand and never hesitate to take me to my vehicle and show me what they are talking about. There prices are competitive and reasonable. They also offer discounts to certain types of jobs, fireman, police, teachers, etc. as well as for AAA members. They never give a hard sell if a repair is needed, whether big or small. They are understanding to this economy and will tell you what needs to be done and why and know that it may not be in your financial means to do it at that moment. I have always been treated with kindness and respect. They have me as a customer for life and I only refer my friends here now.
